Not just performing, but over-performing.

Not an HBC fan--I feel like when you've seen one of her performances, you've seen them all.
Thanks for this!

I don't think I've seen anything that HBC has been in. Maybe I have and just don't know it.

I'm feeling really off-kilter today. After work I gotta go mail the pineapple booties to my friend who ordered them (she lives in Texas) and when I get home, maybe I'll start on the pair I'm keeping for my maybe-someday-grandchild. Crocheting is enjoyable and relaxing and will maybe keep my mind off of stuff. I know I have a lot to think about before my session on friday but there's time.

Although my eyes were really tired last night after making the 2nd bootie, I think the light wasn't bright enough in the room. I am going to look for one of those lighted magnifier thingies that I can crochet under since my eyes are getting so bad. I probably need new glasses too. The lighted crochet hooks help a little, but not enough with dark yarn.

Laying in bed last night staring at the ceiling I suddenly became convinced that L is going to tell me she can't work with me anymore and is going to kick me to the curb. In the light of day I don't really believe that but at the same time - something she said the other day is just really gnawing at me. And don't even get me started about the house stuff I've barely mentioned lately. I can't even talk about that right now.

Why does life feel so overwhelmingly complicated sometimes?!

I really don't remember her hair at all. Even in Harry Potter, I don't recall the hair.
People said the same thing about Katherine Hepburn. And I liked her too. Maybe I just like the one person they play.

I'm a little irritated that because I don't have enough assets to itemize I don't get the full deduction for charitable contributions. I got the $300 deduction for federal, but I donated like $5K! That's so lame. I ranted a bit to my tax lady but she's used to me. She does my taxes every year.

I can relate to this. Ive been working on making home feel like a safe place. From the inside out. Trying to figure out where the anxiety is coming from. Because - what exactly is it that we have not handled? Who is criticizing us?

She just played Princess Margaret in The Crown.

She was in a short film/prada ad with Ben Kingsley called A Therapy. He plays the therapist and she plays the client.

Both L and I love HBC too! We use her as an example all the time: being comfortable in your own skin, not having to fit a mold, etc.

Okay, I would watch HBC as the Red Queen, Margo, and a client (because most of the characters she plays are obvious therapy client types).

I like Katharine Hepburn too, but I also like aristocratic New England feminist types with cheekbones. I do not think she had a wide range as an actress.

Sometimes I wish I could just be a whole completely different person than who I am. I don't like me very much right now. Maybe instead of thinking more I need to just stop thinking about everything for awhile. I'm not feeling very well mentally today. Maybe I'll go take a shower, wash my hair, then go binge watch sister wives or something.

I need a vacation.

Weren’t you going to Hawaii? After the second shot, off you go.

When I think I don’t like myself, it is actually something I am doing I don’t like or I don’t like the fact I am avoiding doing something. So stop doing something you don’t like or stop avoiding doing something?

Last night I went through a couple months’ worth of mail I’d been avoiding and felt much better, so it can be small. Much easier than changing one’s whole self in one fell swoop.

Well, if Hawaii’s not an option, Krispy Kreme has us covered:

Krispy Kreme will give you a free doughnut every day this year — if you've been vaccinated - CBS News

This is plainly discrimination against celiacs.

ETA: during lockdown the average American gained

Possible trigger:

No wonder my doctor was so excited about me losing weight at my annual physical.

You know, so you can avoid Covid, but gain diabetes.

That being said, I do enjoy the (very) occasional Krispy Kreme.

I have times where I feel the same way and It's something I'm trying to work on too.

But why do we have to be better then we are? What do you think needs improving?

From the louise hay tape "It's a thought and it can be changed"

Start planning the Hawwiiiiiiiiiiii trip, but also a smaller one too for now. Maybe you could take a short road trip if you're still allowed? What about hiring an RV? Maybe you guys have similar:

Frank campervan for hire, Corwen, Wales - Quirky Campers

Free donuts though!

I can't remember what they taste like- I last had some delivered for my brothers birthday, then again in august when my sister got her GCSE results almost two years ago. If there's anything I hate paying for it's delivery.

Maybe you could write them a letter- you could start a new product line if there's enough demand. Or maybe this could be your side hustle.

I'm not a fan of Krispy Kremes--too sweet. I also prefer cake donuts rather than...whatever Krispy Kremes are considered. Dunkin all the way! Or Entenmann's. Well, now I want a donut....

We have donut Fridays at work from a local donut shop. They're pretty good. I'm avoiding them right now since I'm doing Noom, or I only eat like half of one. I think Krispy Kremes are too sweet as well LT.

Waiting on the insoles for the heel pain. I received the boot thing from Amazon. The first night I only slept like an hour in it. Last night I slept three hours in it. My heel is killing me. Might have to buckle down and go to the doctor before my end of April appointment.

I got some lightweight dumb bells to use at home. I did some workout with them this morning. I should have gotten the next size up. I'm not sore at all. Maybe I can exchange them.
