Interesting, una. My dr hasn't asked me that (yet). They are always asking about my mental health but not if I've fallen...

It might be time to start practicing balance. I am serious. As we get older, balance can get more challenging - one easy exercise is just to hold one foot up and then balance and then do the other side.

I'm like, other than being a clumsy idiot, I'm fine. I skinned up one knee and twisted the other ankle, and cracked the screen protector on my phone cuz I was holding it. (not looking at it, can't even use that excuse, it was just in my hand with my keys). After I fell I almost wanted to just lay there and cry. Of course my dislike of people looking at me prevented that from happening. I think I better ask L for 2 sessions next week. I'm a fragile, broken mess.

I'm glad you're okay artie bean. maybe the balance exercises would help too.

What kind of shoes were you also wearing?

Hugs, Artie. Glad you're mostly OK! And yeah, we all fall or otherwise do embarrassing things in public at times...

I looked up former T on Google and it looks like she is back working again. I emailed her asking if I could come see her for like a check up now and again. But then I said I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. I'm not the same person I was when I was seeing her. I've made so much progress. Part of the progress is from her but part is from my current T and even Pastor T.

If she says that I can come see her again, I'm worried the transference would be ridiculous again. I miss her now but it doesn't hurt like it did for so long. But I long to see her. Even if I would just be hurting myself all over again when we inevitably had to stop.

Spectacularly embarrassing public stunts are my forte. Last night at my nephew's birthday dinner, I was talking and flailing my hands around in an animated fashion. My daughter informed me I almost smacked the guy at the next table (he leaned back to avoid the hit, whoops) and I couldn't even apologize I was so embarrassed. Of course he and I timed our exits perfectly, because we both slid our chairs back at the same time and I bumped into him. I couldn't apologize for that either. (No alcohol was consumed, I'm just incredibly awkward.)

I'm sorry you fell, Art. Be kind to yourself.

2. I keep thinking (and dreaming) about seeing my last t. But like slumber says, i feel like a different person now. Yeah in some ways im the same, but in other ways, sooooo changed.

Back home from seeing L. As expected I sobbed for almost the whole session, curled up around a pillow on the couch. She brought me a blanket and a handful of kleenex. By the time I left I had stopped crying, well until I walked down the steps outside anyway when I started crying again, which she noticed when I turned to say 'bye'. The look on her face... I just didn't want to leave. I wish I could have just fallen asleep on the couch for the afternoon. I'm wiped out after that session so I'm gonna take a nap now.

We are not. I'm fine with that as it means my summer starts earlier.

My favorite unusual place I've visited is Malta. But Iceland is where I want to go, especially if there's a volcano erupting.

I like hooding. The students are so happy and their families are all proud and such. The big graduation is a pain in the *** I hate going to it -but they aren't having that yet. Just the individual schools.

It is kind of like baby adoptions. The families were usually annoying and anxious and so on -but the day of court - everybody was happy -the babies were usually jolly and the adoptive parents so thrilled and thrilled with us that it was the one part of civil practice I really liked. Sure it wasn't going last, but it lasted long enough for me to get out of their lives and leave them to it.

I am dehydrating some ground beef for my dogs. This is the first time I have done this - we tasted a bite to see if it was getting crunchy yet - the dogs are fans and seem to be asking where has this been for the first 5-6 years of their lives.

It was a date movie for us back in the day. Now you kids hafta go to an erupting volcano for your honeymoon because you already used up all your excitement.

I would like to see lava flowing.

I went to see Body Heat with some other law students and one non-law student when it first came out. We left the movie arguing about the rule against perpetuities and the one non-law student was like - guys we just saw a movie with a naked hot Kathleen Turner and you all are still talking about the law. Something is wrong with all of you.
And we acknowledged he was right and went back to the probate question.

I expect i will see it in heck. Seeing it here is heck on earth. Do you guys not remember about White island last year in new zealand? Or the hawaiian one a couple of years ago? Lava should come with a bumper sticker - if you can read this, your too close.

One of my most vivid memories from our trip to Italy (now that I'm thinking about it) was hiking up Mt Vesuvius after we had walked through the ruins of Pompeii. I can't imagine actually seeing lava flowing - I imagine that it would be beautiful and terrifying all rolled into one, to see that particular version of the power of nature.

Especially in late August AD 79 (or early October—recent evidence suggests a new date).

I don’t know why they say lava flows. You can outwalk it.

It’s really the heat and the ash that got Pompeii.

It would be a fairly miserable way to go.
I have a hierarchy of ways to die.
Lava/ash/heat is closer to the bottom for me.

Has anyone watched Couples Therapy on Showtime? For some reason, it's free to me right now (we only subscribe to HBO on Fios, along with Netflix, and there doesn't seem to be a free trial), and I'm getting sucked into it. Though the one guy is really annoying. And the therapist leans forward way too much. But it's really interesting (it's apparently actual couples therapy, not scripted).

We're having hooding in person, but faculty don't actually get to hood the students. They have to walk across the stage alone, with their hoods already in place. I'm sad about this, but most students are going to attend anyway.

Morning couchies! I slept sooooo good last night. There was something very healing in the way L took care of me yesterday by bringing me a blanket and tissues. A small act that felt very big.

I'm getting ready for the Dream Tending seminar now, it starts in about 5 minutes. A full day (9a-4p) of Dreamwork! I am making the conscious choice to enter this zoom call in all my human-ness - fragile, broken-feeling and all.

Me. I'm gonna just be me. What else can I be?

Hugs to all who want and I anticipate that I will be popping in on our lunch break to tell y'all how it's going!
