You're in a really tough situation, Scarlet. Your family shouldn't keep expecting you and H to give them significant amounts of money just like that even if your finances are OK. The expectation is taking advantage of you and your H.

Given the other ways you and H contribute as well, I feel like you're the couple your family turns to whenever they need help, and are they even reciprocal when you or H needs help?

I had to consult Aristotle’s Posterior Analytics for my work today and as always my mind put the dirtiest possible interpretation on the title.

Aristotle was obviously a butt guy.

I am watching 3rd Rock from the Sun reruns. I love Jane Curtain. I watch the Librarian movies just to see her.

Not really, especially not with H. My dad picks on him and disrespects him almost daily. My mom and sister put up with H.

Even with me, my dad said he's glad I have L because he supports my sister, I support him, and I have L to support me. Gee thanks. Basically, I don't have any support from them.

H, on the other hand, was so good to me last night. When I told him what happened, he said he's got my back, and let me just cry. He then told me to take my anxiety pill and just get some sleep.

Question: what color should a bedskirt/dust ruffle be? I have a white bed frame and a blue/white duvet cover. The walls are beige. I thought about getting a white bedskirt/dust ruffle, but sometimes I get a little too matchy-matchy and then things look dumb. Thoughts?

(I need the dust ruffle b/c I'm storing boxes and stuff under my bed and it looks dumb.)

I'd probably go for blue if I could find one that complimented the duvet cover.

Like, the same shade of blue, or a different shade that looks nice?

I was thinking it might be hard to find the exact same shade, so just find something that blends well. But a neutral color might be nice too. This page has some nice examples. How To Choose The Right Bed Skirt For Your Patterned Bedding I kind of like the macrame one on that page.

I get to play with my chain saw - a giant limb fell into my backyard after a storm went through. It is a city tree that I keep asking them to cut down - thank goodness my dogs were not outside when it fell

We had a big storm move through here last night too, no big trees at new house but I just looked out the window and see our patio chair cushions took a trip I need to go chase them down...

Apparently 'I'm going to paint today' actually means 'I'm going to get the WIP out of my art bag, look at it carefully, and put it away again.'

Maybe I will paint tomorrow. (I did watch a video on how to make pink in watercolour when you don't have a pink paint...)

Also procrastinating on a writing project for work. It's hard when I don't really connect with the theme.
