Gotta say, not really a fan of middle-of-the-night thunderstorms that are very loud and long....

I think I must be naďve or stupid. It seems every day I read something someone tweeted or posted on social media and I'm shocked/disgusted/saddened that not only could someone think that way, but they also say it out loud in public. I really shouldn't be so surprised any more. The lengths people go to to justify their worldview is mind-boggling. TW for SA/misogyny:

I'm just so disgusted with the world right now.

The effing fireworks are terrifying one of my dogs. I have never been a big fan of the 4th and this year I positively hate it. I have two tvs going, the dishwasher and a white noise machine to try and block out some of the noise for him. And I have given him a lot of benedryl (vet approved amount-but it seems like a lot for the tweaky little guy)

I just found out that I don't have my dentist anymore. My pdoc is retiring. I don't know if my insurance will allow me to continue seeing my PCP at the clinic because I live in a different county, and L might be moving.

It's happening again! I'm losing all my support!

It's not dark here yet. I imagine the fireworks are coming even though they're not allowed due to wildfire risks.

I just watched the dumbest Endeavor ever! They had to do that Charlies Angels thing at the end where they spend 5 minutes discussing the plot because nothing happens in the whole show.

Hugs, Scarlet...I'm sorry you're dealing with all this. Maybe try contacting your insurance tomorrow? (Or today, though it's a holiday), so at least you could get an answer about your PCP?

And you said with L, if they do want her H to move, they can try appealing it, right? I hope it doesn't come to that and she's just able to stay.

Did you have a bunch of fireworks in your area, too? There were some seemingly professional ones going off last night that I could partly see from my window. I know at least one other fairly local area has them tonight. Between that, being out of town most of last week, and seeing Dr. T on different days than usual, I have no idea what's going on in terms of the day of week or month!

I'm in the UK too, WT.
Independence Day celebrates American independence from British rule, on the 4th July 1776.

Independence Day. July 4 is the official date of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence from allegiance to the British crown and the first step in establishing a new independent government.

Many communities traditionally hold parades and fireworks celebrations.

There are even some fireworks where I am (in Europe). Not too few, either. Then again, there is a US military base near where I live, so maybe it's originating there.

I used to like frozen grapes when I was a kid. Green or red? Maybe I should see if D would eat them? Not sure I could deal with the texture now myself.

My sister and I start the process of transferring assets into the estate account or the heirs’ names tomorrow.

It feels like there is still so much to do here before the end of the month, when we leave for good.

And I so want my mother not to be dead.

Eating frozen grapes sounds painful. Like chewing on an ice cube. Ouch.

I got a new kitten this weekend, named Ollie. I love him already, but I am a little worried I got a kitten too soon after losing Jack. It hasn't even been quite 5 months.

I'd add a picture, but I have no idea how to, haha.

I have to get up at 3:30 am on Friday morning to take my sons dog to the airport so they can be reunited. I am so stressed about waking up
That early as the seroquel makes me sleep so soundly. I am thinking about not taking it the night beforevand taking it after i get back from the airport. This is stressful.

That seems like a good plan, to hold off on taking it--though could it cause withdrawal symptoms? Is it something you could take a half-dose of maybe (not capsule or time-release)?
