This woman explains attachment styles/other attachment info better than any I have seen. I mean, she is still fairly woowoo oddball but to me, it made sense. This is just one - she has videos on the others as well.

And how to let go of being attached when it is over

Speaking of advice, there is this totally obnoxious fit guy on youtube who says that emotional eating is a cycle in that you eat to soothe your emotions, then you get riled up again so you can get that dopamine hit from emotional eating, ad infinitum. Happy, sad, happy, sad...

This spoke to me.

Also somebody here posted about cluttering, that you clutter because you can't say no. Also ssoooo me.

So breakfast today was a fat free italian dressing on a smallish head of romaine, with a peanut butter on white bread with 3 leaves of romaine in the sammich, eaten with mixed bites, basically, but more salad bites to sandwich bites. Golly it was soooo yummy. And kinda solved the problem of pb sandwich portion size, because after all that salad, i was sated. Usually i will stuff myself into a pb sammie stupor.
Thanks for this!

We lean as babies that food is comforting. Makes sense it would be soothing. Glad you enjoyed your snack.

Maybe you could try to declutter in bits. I do one area at a time.

Just an idea but maybe you could also add more protein into your diet. Things like tuna and milk and see if that also helps with being satiated as well.

speaking of emotional eating. i don't even know what triggered this yesterday at all because I was feeling pretty good, enjoying my day off, writing poetry and participating in my poetry fb group. i had to run to the store because we ran out of printer paper and had some stuff to print. what else did i buy besides printer paper you ask? a small bag of reeses miniatures and i ate the whole stupid bag. Totally mindlessly. I didn't even remember tasting them when I noticed they were gone. Yeesh. I wish reeses did not exist.

LT - We have 4 dogs. I couldn't give up any unless I absolutely had to, but it would be devastating.

Private owners can make excuses to why they don't want you to rent. Plus they get to pick and choose. Apartments can't do that, so they're actually easier to have ESAs.

They did say if I can prove to them that I'm allowed 4, they'll accept it. I can prove it to them, I'm just worried they'll still put up a fight. And there's no way I'm going to take an apartment complex to court over ESAs. Even if I won, they would probably make life hell living there.

i do not know.

i love peanut butter too. instead of buying actual pb though i have pb fit peanut butter powder that you mix with water. it's safer that way for me than having a jar of already-ready peanut butter....

Im all about the mouthfeel. Like a dog.

Yesterday i also bought a new ben n jerrys flavor, boston cream pie. Sooo good, and not too sweet and not full of giant pieces of frozen teeth-breaking candy like a lot of their stupid flavors, but today im remembering the meaning of lactose intolerance. There, i cant say it any more subtlely, SDly.

Hugs, Scarlet. I hope they'll accept it. And they're small dogs, too, right? It's not like you're trying to have 4 Great Danes or something.

I ran into trouble years ago renting an apartment with a guinea pig. Many places allowed dogs and cats, but any other pets, including rodents (despite their living in a cage) were an issue. I still remember one place, where I said that I had a guinea pig. And they asked, "What's that?" I made the mistake of saying "a rodent," and the woman, said, "Ewwwwww." I should have said it was like a rabbit with smaller ears...

The place I eventually rented from was basically like, "We don't want to know about your guinea pig." Like, don't officially tell them, and they wouldn't bother me about him. I was anxious the first few times maintenance workers came in, fearing I'd be reported, but eventually relaxed about it.

It's such a ridiculous policy in many ways. I mean...my daughter has caused more destruction to our house than any pet ever could have, I'm pretty sure. And unless a place is a 55+ community (like where my mother-in-law lives), they can't restrict children.

I hope it all works out for you. I know you love your dogs and that they're very important to you and give support.

Yeah, my dogs are Shelties. 12lbs.

And I know what you mean about even guinea pigs. My apartment complex here doesn't allow them. Only cats and dogs.

So to her, guinea pigs are like peanut butter is to you?

The candy in OfficeMax is an opiate for the proletariat. Marx said so.

Like a dog??? I can honestly report that mouthfeel is the absolute last thing my dogs care about.

That was indeed fairly subtle for a freudian. Too graphic for everyone else of course....

I woke up croaking/yelling last night, "call fire, call police!" Over and over. I dreamt that a bunch of Cane Corsi came through the open door of the apartment bldg, then thru my window, were horsing around on my couch, then stood over me drooling (i hope!) while i tried to face them down, saying, "Go! Now!"

When i finally woke up, i go, "oops sorry, bad dream" and just hoped nobody called the cops! Boy was it real!

I appreciate your pluralisation of Cane Corso, Una.

Today has been strange and I needed a lift.

Two more sleeps until I can talk to someone who's qualified.

Since it’s the Oscars tonight, can I just say I watched Oppenheimer on the very long flight to Copenhagen? The movie was so long, it made the flight seem even longer. Honestly not Nolan’s best.

Same here! Including a weird one involving ex-MC last night. And one involving Dr. T's (late) office fish a couple nights ago. And I told H to be careful around birds because in one of the dreams, there was some damage to his car, and he said, "Yeah, that was from the bird incident."
