I am so sorry for all the confusion @Lemoncake - I really hope that you find out what happened to the funds. 1000 is still 1000, it just didn't vanish - and you said it all went into one person's bank account. I am glad you were able to speak up, I really hope it gets resolved soon. (((Hugs))

I used to take a shot after every phone call when I worked for TurboTax. Needless to say, I was woozy by hour "two" of my eight-hour shift, lol. I have been sober for a while now, but I remember the stress @ArtieTheSequal - the poopulation seems to be getting more and more embolden to yell customer service reps, although I wasn't really mad at folks that yelled at me for getting charged by TurboTax, the charlatans used to advertise "free, free, free" when they really weren't free at all during that time, lol.

Today was a good day. Put the whip down on myself and shared about it at my AA homegroup this week. Also found a new smoothie place in my area, the heat has just been unbearable. Therapy will be next Tuesday at regular time, but I think things are going to be okay. For once I can WOOSAH, and just breathe today.

Well y'all I'm dipping my toes back into therapy briefly, with someone new. My insurance now offers 10 free sessions with an online t, so I signed up and when the t I got matched with contacted me, I explained that basically I'm looking for a little help with letting L go while still holding onto the gains I made during that therapy. I'm not looking for any deep work (I've done enough of that to choke a horse). Anyway it sounds like she understands what I'm looking for. So I'm cautiously optimistic that this will help. I think about L every freaking day, multiple times a day, and still talk to her in my head every night. I want that to go away. My first session with R (new, short-term t) is next week.

It’s okay Art. Well done for giving it a go with someone new.

I also emailed the same woman from last year asking for a session yesterday.

Are you using a hand cranked ice cream maker where you use all that ice and rock salt? My brother and I used to love to snag pieces of that salty ice to eat when we made it as a kid. I remember when my family got one with an electric motor - we had ice cream several times that summer - you still had to add the rock salt and ice but the motor turned the crank.

Lately I've found solace in the pure energy of a cappella music.

TW for religion.

Pulled another all-nighter. 5am-10am seem to be my sleep schedule now. How horrible is that? This is with 25mg of Hydroxyzine and 10 mg of Melatonin for sleep and a CPAP machine. I feel like I need someone to literally come and knock me out every night.

I wonder if your medications are just having the opposite effect. It’s possible? Have you tried without the melatonin?

Have you ever listened to The Martins? They're a christian a cappella group, siblings Joyce, Jonathan, and Judy. They are just fabulous, I saw them in concert a long time ago. Here is one of my favorites of theirs.

Thanks Artie,

They're new to me, and I really appreciate the recommendation.
I find that religious music helps, even if I'm not fully on board with the religion bit.

Will seek out more.

Hope your workday isn't too arduous!

There is a handyman in my house! I hate this. I don't like people in my house, I definitely don't like men in my house and I super definitely don't like men who make noise in my house. My partner organised it, I would be happy for the house to fall into disrepair around our ears if it meant avoiding intruders. Ugh. He is very tall, thin and bald, like a crane with a screwdriver.

That's quite a simile, Comrade.

I know what you mean about having people in your home.
Unfortunately, my mother insists on telling service providers that I 'get a bit funny' about answering the door...rather than using the word anxious.

I giggled when I read your description of this handyman but I’m sorry you have to deal with that right now.

That's quite the mix! I generally like a variety, too, including Janis. Though not really that into rap from any period, aside from a few songs here and there. Or more traditional country, though I like some more alternative country stuff, like, say Drive-By Truckers/Jason Isbell.

I hope it's helpful, Artie. And it's good she seems to get what you're seeking.

It took me a long time to get past ex-MC, even though I was seeing Dr. T. I think it's normal when the relationship was that long and close. I do feel that I came out on the other side and can see the relationship differently now--more objectively in a way. And to be able to hold onto some of the positive parts instead of having it feel completely tarnished by the end.

So I hope you can get to that place, too--and I trust that you will.

It may depend on how you make the iced tea. Like, you may need to make it with hot water, then refrigerate it or ice it down for it to have the full effect. Though that might just be the case for regular, nonherbal tea?

I wonder this, too, also with the hydroxyzine. I know Benadryl can have the opposite effect on some people, and I think it's the same drug class. Could try a few nights without melatonin, and if that doesn't help, a few nights without hydroxyzine.
