It usually begins when two people, whether online or IRL, make a connection from across the room, real or chat. At this point, they feel compelled to get to know each other better. If they feel comfortable, they start working toward a relationship, and in some cases it works out.

So I would have to say that neither looks or personality are more important. It's chemistry.

I honestly couldn’t tell if the therapist I was attracted to was physically attractive or not. It was just her personality and the way she responded to me that got me going. I know one time she stared at me really intently for several seconds with her chin on her fist and the look in her eyes made me want to flood my basement even though that type of eye contact is just a technique therapists use to try to get their clients to talk when they are shutting down and it doesn’t mean anything.

Not gonna lie there was definite countertransference going on with her but it wasn’t romantic.

No no no. Looks are, imho, not more important than personality when it comes to a relationship. I could give examples from my life to support my opinion. I was talking to Papa bear (my husband) about this only yesterday.

I would say that for men there are two major factors. Health/Beauty and Nurture/Personality. The physical and chemical requirements for propagation and successful child care. The weights will be different for each individual.

For women I believe there are three. Health/Beauty, Resources/Power, and Personality. The genes to pass on to her offspring, the ability to provide/protect and emotional support. This is just my assumption I could be babbling but its how I see it.
