Thank you for telling me! I may want to ask my PDoc about decreasing my Lamictal. I don't think it's doing all that much and I take so many meds.

My pdoc wants to up my lamictal, so I am forewarned. Thank you.
I also recall getting increased tinnitus when lowering meds, particularly risperidone.

Going to group tomorrow, should be fun. One of my cats keeps getting in bed with me early in the morning because it's been kind of cold in the morning and she snuggles up next to me under the covers and purrs. She's so cute!

I just went to group today and made greeting cards....it's my new hobby anyway so I make 3 or 4 of them in group. It helps take my mind off of all my troubles and I have a good friend in there too. We text each day also.

Hi everyone!

Having a relatively good day today. Went grocery shopping for the first time in a few months. Went to Aldi. Quite impressed. Will be shopping there in the future. My best friend came home from work and let me try his Hookah, and now I'm making chicken quesadillas for dinner @119am.... Go figure.

Monday I had a med check and they put me on Wellbutrin @100mg to help with the depression that has been debilitating me. Hopefully it works.

Hi Blue Bird! I've been having good and bad days. I've done better since my Haldol was raised to 30 mg but I still have breakthrough paranoia nearly every day that I take Klonopin for.

I am on long term disability through my former employer so I pretty much just stay home with the cats. I have been thinking of taking up a craft like you do, but I don't know what to do. I don't draw well, and I would love to knit but I can never learn how to do it. I'm not sure what I could do properly.

Have you tried coloring? It can be very relaxing, there are a lot of coloring books for adults as its gotten very popular lately.

That's a great idea! I have tried it and at first it was hard to focus but slowly got better at it. I put it down for a while and I think it's time to pick it up again. Thanks for the reminder! 😊

As October started I noticed I'm generally hungrier. I don't know why. No med changes or anything. I found out I gained 5 pounds since June 30th which is upsetting and I'm not going to lose weight the way I've been going. I don't know what to do. I hate trying to exercise and there's very little I can do anyway with my back so bad.

Angelique, I've lost 34 pounds in the past year since I stopped taking Abilify. All I've done (other than stopping that stuff that was piling weight on me) was figure out how many calories a very sedentary person my height needs and I try to stick to that. I don't always, but I do most of the time. I don't even eat particularly healthily, I just watch my calories. I did on Abilify too, but it didn't matter, I just kept gaining.

I have a collapsed disc in my back and I walk with a cane so I can't work out. This means I must focus on food intake.

Try Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople for help with calories. That site works well for me. Good luck!

Wow, Shmooey, thanks. It sounds like we have similar circumstances. I'm still on Abilify and I can't go off unless they put me on something else. Thank you for the link too.

I hope it helps you! I'm in the same situation as you - can't *not* be on an anti-psychotic.

Which one are you on now? Is it weight neutral? Thanks.

I take 30 mg of Haldol daily now. It's weight neutral for me, and it's even allowing me to drop my Abilify weight.
