I don't like my job either. I think I'd rather be a farmer - raise chickens. I put up a fence for my chickens today. I'm not in good enough condition to be a farmer.

I don't think it's a sign. Maybe your subconscious is trying to tell you something?

I don't know. I'm not good with symbolism. Maybe someone else can suggest something.

I think all dreams symbolize something in our lives. Maybe something we're going through or maybe something we're afraid of.....I don't know exactly what your dreams mean Ash0198. Let us know if they continue.

Psychosis can cause nightmares and so can depression. Despondency usually manifests itself in dreams as disturbing themes such as death. Worries during the waking hours don't stop when you fall asleep. Dreams like the ones you describe indicate you need to address what is going on with you psychologically.

The nurse said my doctor will probably let me change to abilify
Aslong if I can convince her I'll keep taking it.

I think sometimes what dreams mean are really obvious; anyone with a bit of imagination can figure it out. Other times they're deeply personal, involving our own internal symbolism and what's going on in our lives at the time. We need to understand those dreams from our own point of view.

I remember when my son was young I dreamed that I was feeding pieces of him to a friendly monster. I was breaking off his toes and fingers to feed the monster. I kept telling myself it was okay, because the monster was friendly any my son's toes and fingers would grow back anyway. At the same time I was worrying about what I would feed the monster when my son ran out of fingers and toes. Also, I knew if I stopped feeding the monster it would stop being so friendly.

When I woke up I knew exactly what the dream 'meant.' I was working on a master's degree at the time which I knew was taking too much time from my son. I kept telling myself I'd 'make it up to him' after I'd finished. I knew I had to quit that program and find a way to make my son's needs a priority. That's how I decided to up to library school

I am locked inside the camper. This happened once before. I am visiting Ron while he is working and living in a temporary camper. What was the manufacturer thinking in designing these things? Anyway, Ron locked it when he left for work and I was still in bed. Usually I am awake when he leaves so he doesn't lock it. Last time he locked me in I was able to call the park manager and handed him keys through the window to unlock the door. Now I am just waking up and having coffee before I try to climb out the window.
Last time this happened I didn't know the problem was so simple as the door being locked from the outside. I didn't want to crawl out the window and not be able to crawl back in and the weather was bad then. It was still winter then and I didn't want to risk it.

At least I'm not in panic mode but it is unnerving that these things are dangerous. Not many people are around in these parks because they all are out here working and living temporarily. This area caters mostly to guys in the oil fields that are here for work and I already feel out of place being a woman alone here when Ron is at work.

I have to come up with a way to disable the outside lock so this won't happen again.

Since I'm stuck right now I will use my time to thank all of you here for being my dear friends. What would I do without you?
It would be so cool to meet with all of you in person!

Kureha: that is good news about the Abilify!

Costello: your description of that dream about feeding the monster was so graphic. Thank you for sharing it and your insight about what it meant regarding your son. I appreciate your wisdom so much and I like that you went into the library sciences. What were you studying before you switched? Maybe now you can go back to getting your masters in what you wanted? How is your plan going to move to a better place?

Ash: Even though the content of your dreams may be strange feeling, I think it is great that you are dreaming. It means you are in a deep restful sleep when you dream and that your unconscious is working out deep psychological stuff. I haven't had a healthy dream life for a while and I miss it. I used to dream a heck of a lot.

Cracking: It sounds like you have quite a handful with the young kids, but I admire what you do and that you have been stable in doing it for so long.

To everyone else here: I hope you all are doing ok!

Hi Newtus

Sorry that you are hearing voices. Tell them that I said for them to go to hell.

I was studying linguistics. I was particularly interested in African languages and phonetics/phonology. My thesis topic was the phonology of ideophones in Hausa. Not something that you can use for anything except to go on for a PhD. and eventually teach. I'd have been fine with that if I hadn't had to keep feeding the friendly monster, and living in poverty, for many years into the future. For myself, ok; for my son, not so good.

Librarianship gave me a quick program (1 year) followed by a decent-paying, low-stress professional job. The downside is what I have now - a job that doesn't challenge me anymore.

I'm not interested in going back to linguistics.

About the move: I was hoping to have heard from the guy with the studio apartment by now.

I made it out the small camper window butt- first and I must have looked like Winnie the Pooh when he got stuck in the hole of the tree trunk looking for honey! A guy saw me and it was funny explaining to him why I was performing the acrobatic stunt.

Now I am trying to flush the holding tanks of the camper which got clogged with sewage for some reason. Toilet waste was backing up into the shower. peee-- ewwwwww!!! It was stinking to high- heaven in here, but it's better now.

Well I stayed up way too late! Didn't get to sleep until almost 4am. My oldest daughter, 19, went on a date last night & didn't make it home until almost 1am so of course I had to stay awake til she got back home. Then when she did I still couldn't go to sleep. So here it is noon & I'm just now waking up. Time to crawl out of this bed & start my day! I wish all of you a wonderful day!
@ Newtus: You tell the voices to shut up! That's what I do! Then I get busy doing something to distract myself. It helps. I wish you the very best!

They're figuring out more ways to get to me and us they watch through windows and doors and mirrors and televisions and they have microbots in hair dye.

And moon creatures are stealing cats to worship them.

That reminds me of what you were saying about almost becoming diabetic because of the seroquel. I wonder if there's a connection?
