So yeah, there are refugees in my backyard and I'm not sure what to do... I want to start a fire for them because it's like 13 degrees (-11 Celsius) out there, but I'm afraid of getting caught... my mom would most certainly freak out.

Is it legal to have a fire where you live...around here we can't even burn leaves...

We have a fire pit in the backyard, but we just moved here, so we've never used it.

I'm going to bring them food because I don't know where else they're going to get it...

Ok so I tossed them some protein bars/meal replacement bars we had around our house (I'm recovering from an eating disorder) and then there was this weird siren/yelling sound and I'm kind of freaking out now...

Can you call your pdoc between appointments? You might want to fill them in on some of the unusual stuff that's going on...

Alternately what kinds of things do you really like to do....movies video games books music talking with people what is really engaging for you can you try doing that? It might take your mind off of things...

I'm going to an appointment tomorrow at a place that treats psychosis...

I'm trying to listen to the radio to cancel out the noises and it helps.

I just constantly have the feeling that I should be working and that I'm not doing my part...

I don't want to take my antipsychotics any more because of the side effects but my psychiatrist said I should stick with them because they're working. Should I just stop taking them?

I was reading all the sex talk with interest. it feels like im the only male here. Anyway d2 antagonists are notorious for prolactin increase which is a libido impeder , at least in men. anyway I can vouch for seroquel as a good alternative if you can tolerate it and is effective , as having a minor effect on sex drive.

This is something only you can decide----if you don't like the side effects I would try a different med before quitting entirely----I found my meds to be effective though----so it also depends on whether they actually work for you but it sounds like they are working. You might want to make a list of pros and cons----

Well I'll say the same thing to you then---make a list of pros and cons---you always have a choice(unless someone gets a court order) but I'm more familiar with your situation so I can tell you some of the cons---mainly the issue of disability--I don't know the laws but as long as you need a doc to say you're sick every few years you're sort of stuck----one thing I wonder about is whether you can use a forensic psychiatrist---they don't treat you at all but just assess you and they are pricey $250-$500 an hour and I don't think insurance will cover it since its not treatment. But yeah as long as you have a normal clinical pdoc they are going to want to put you on drugs because that is the only kind of treatment they know how to give...

My voices are telling me not to take my meds because I deserve to suffer. I'm so sick of this.

Well here is the deal---its not like they won't know---some of the pdocs are cools with PRN meds like I think atypical's was but a much greater percentage of them think you need to be on them constantly to get better that's why they push the injections they think its all about compliance instead of about lack of effectiveness. Now I may have mentioned this before but once I talked with my old pdoc about this guy who was clearly taking his meds PRN and he just overlooked it but this guy just kept to himself and did paintings and didn't do anything to attract attention. But on the other hand he was also a doctor who did forced injections---in once case he had to chase a kid down the street to give an injection---seriously---why---in this case "the kid was bothering his parents" I don't know the full details of it but he wasn't quiet and keeping to himself was the point. So for the most part if you are quiet and keep to yourself you'll have less chance of ending back up on injections which you can't control...the question is whether you can do that on prn meds...

Here is the problem I see---you've been on the injection a while and you still ended up in the hospital a few times---as long as there is anything that results in the cops coming to your house(even if its for your own protection), that's not going to be considered quiet and keep to yourself unfortunately...its going to be considered in need of treatment. So basically the very fact that the meds work poorly for you is going to make them want to give you more and more...I guess what I'm saying is if the injections aren't even working all that well will prn really work better, sure it will feel better but unless you can stay out of the hospital I worry that they will just put you back on an injection again or give you a higher less tolerable dose of meds. Its a really complex situation and I don't have any good answers...

Hmm...youre right. The majority seem to be women.

I think they are legally required too as in if they don't they can be charged in a civil suit by your parents if you did something ...

I think that's the best option or at least it's what I would do...the haldol does seem to work to some extent for you...
