its definitely a different feeling. haldol makes me weak and lethargic for HOURS. and xanax just knocks me out for an hour and im completely refreshed instead of weak and lethargic for hours. keyword is weak and lethargic.

Glad haldol helped. Hopefully pdoc will let you go back on it.

Well done! I've decided that when I lose 10% (8lbs more), I'm going to treat myself to this gorgeous (but expensive) scarf I saw in Monsoon/Accessorize:

Etched Tropical Garden Stole | Multi | Accessorize

I feel like that a lot too.

Nice to hear from you Kureha! Sorry you're not happy about the meds, but I remember that you said that they make you less anxious, which is good I s'pose

That's the problem with benzos! Please ask your T to show you things to manage your anxiety so you're less reliant on meds.

Poor Daisy! It's awful when they're ill Hope she feels better soon!

I am absolutely knackered after helping to babysit my niece (3) and nephew (1) all afternoon. My niece got overtired and just whinged the entire last 2 hours though, which did my head in. Planning on chilling in front of the TV now

Meeting with the OT tomorrow to sign up for a jewellery making class, which might be fun.

OK just wondering never had a benzo so I wasn't sure how that felt...also didn't have lethargy with my APs at all.

You can't really see in the picture but the flowers are at the ends of the scarf and then there's a load of butterflies in the middle portion. It's soooooo pretty!

I'm going to have to have a serious talk with my pdoc tomorrow. My meds just aren't working right. I may as well not be taking anything because seriously, I'm hearing voices a lot just like not on meds, and the people around me that know what's going on are telling me I'm delusional(though they're being very nice about it which is good).

I thought the Geodon was helping with word salad type stuff? Do you think it's making the hallucinations/delusions worse?

sunshine: She is a fat Chihuahua named Daisy

I think some chicken she ate yesterday is what tore up her stomach. I gave her a couple of bites and I shouldn't have. She threw up five times today! I think it's all finally out of her system. Lesson learned.

I've got a lot of cleaning and laundry to do too. But I'm going to wait and start on it all tomorrow. Today I did get out and get gasoline and a few groceries. The rest of today is for movie watching

In the past, when my room is an absolute state and I get overwhelmed just looking at it, I draw my bedroom (bird's eye view) onto a piece of paper with my furniture on it, and divide it into quadrants. Then I do a quadrant a day and tick it off on the paper when I'm done. The only rule is that you have to put the stuff away properly and not just move it to other quadrants Should probably do it myself cos my room is a tip again!

My grandfather had a fall this evening. He has no idea how he did it (he has dementia), but luckily he remembered to phone us so we could go and check how bad it was. Luckily his head doesn't need stitches, but he's going to have one heck of a bruise! Don't know how much longer he's going to be able to stay on his own (though he is in sheltered accommodation) :/

I hope one day to have a dog. I want a big dog like a lab or German shepherd. I just can't afford it right now and don't have the resources that a big dog would need. Like a yard and stuff. I really do love pretty much all animals. They've never hurt me. I love their innocence. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter. I got so close to the dogs and puppies. Then one day I went in and they had euthanized like half of them. I was in shock I really loved those dogs. I kept telling the vet that they were sick and they wouldn't do anything to help them. It was really sad.

sunshine: I did some volunteer work with dogs at the SPCA animal shelter here in Dallas, Texas. It was a while ago but I enjoyed it but yet it made me very sad. My two daughters did it with me. We'd go get the dogs from their cages and walk them and play ball with them. We quit going because there were a few very rude employees. I just couldn't deal with them and their sorry attitudes any longer. So we rescued our two cats from our neighborhood. Then we rescued Daisy from a house where we were pretty sure there was breeding going on and nasty living conditions. Daisy was one month old and sick when we got her. She wasn't ready to be away from her mother. I became her mother and feed her with an eye dropper. I took her to the vet and got antibiotics for her and she healed. She is almost 5 yrs old now. She is my baby!

So cute. I'm on a kindle I wish I could figure out how to post pics on here. My car tiger is a orange tabby. He's pretty fat, lol. Took him to the vet and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. I have him on diet food but he hasn't lost any weight. He's like 7. Midnight is a very distinguished tuxedo cat. He's like 11. Tiger is the dominant one. He's really sweet and affectionate but he can be mean to midnight. Sorry for rambling, lol. I love my kitties, lol.
Thanks for this!

I just googled my psychologist...he only qualified in 2012! :/ He graduated from the programme I'm interested in though. I found his doctoral dissertation online which is about stroke patients, so I'm surprised that he's working in adult mental health.

We have 2 cats; sisters, both black & white, though 1 is more black and the other is more white. They don't really like me though so they aren't really affectionate with me. I much prefer my dog Max. He always gives me a cuddle at bed time, and comforts me whenever I get upset. Yes at times he's a PITA, but I love him to bits! (He's currently fast asleep next to me, snoring his head off! lol)

My son is 22, one daughter is 18, one daughter is 19, and I am 41. We currently all share a small two bedroom apartment that we've made into a four bedroom. Very small--less than 1000 sq ft. And the two cats & dog share this space too. I am a single parent.
