I like a podcast called you are not so smart---its about the nature of self delusion. I also like snap judgement and a musical one called alt latino.

Personally I found lumosity helps, you play a couple of computer video games and it kicks in a burst of motivation that can be used for starting more complex things. I'm usually ok once I get started.

That sounds good. I've only been taking a multivitamin but I have extra b vitamins here. I also have Krill oil I haven't been taking because I can't easily reach it on the table. That sounds terrible but I don't know where else to put it.

I don't have motivation problems with any of my meds. The only problem I have is weight and that's from a combination of Depakote and bad eating habits

yea it gives you a 3-4 min test when you start and gives you a readout of your skills on math/reading/writing/memory. then it personalizes your testing so you can basically test better. i felt slightly motivated at the end but in the first round of testing i was really rusty.

Evening all!

My Mum was up visiting today so I made her cottage pie for dinner & she brought a bottle of wine! Was nice to see her & catch up.

Yeah meds definitely effect motivation. The worst for me was when I was on a high dose of Amisulpride it just ate away all my motivation completely. Even on a low dose of Risperidone I found I was eating ready meals instead of cooking meals & I didn't read much.

Now I'm off medication though both of those have resolved themselves.

I have vegemite on toast every day as a snack. It's loaded with B vitamins, so no need to take a supplement.

How do you like it prepped? I usually just boil it and serve with a mayo and vinegar sauce which sort of negates some of the health benefits....

From my personal experience and understanding of addiction, you should quit smoking when you are used to the new antipsychotic. This will prevent the subconscious from thinking of an excuse in that way.

And remember, Tweaky was on 4 antipsychotics at the same time with 6 other meds and could stand for a whole 10 seconds!

FDA Approves New Drug for Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder ? WebMD

Check it out that AP we were talking about that treats negative symptoms too just got approved by the FDA------something to consider for people who aren't happy with their current meds.

So that's two new APs been approved this year right...

Brexpiprazole & Cariprazine... always good to have more options out there for those who struggle to find an effective AP.
