I've decided that I need to start doing exercise... I managed to do some running back in May/June/July but I've not done anything for 3 months now.

I don't really feel like running or cycling so decided I'll just go for a walk everyday. Just back from a 2 mile walk to the park & back. Ironically the route I take goes right past the psychiatric hospital where I go for my appointments! Handy should I ever lose the plot...

Back when I was at Uni I used to walk in & out 5 days a week which equated to 3 miles of walking everyday. It's surprising how fit that can get you just by itself. Obviously not marathon runner fit but it keeps you healthy.

Walking is great..I walk 2-3 miles a day myself, it's built into my walk to the bus so I can't just skip the winter.....

That's great! I actually enjoy walking in the winter, as long as you have on some decent footwear & are wrapped up warm then it's quite nice especially on a sunny day with some snow cover.

Mind you, having said that if we get a bad winter my street turns into an ice rink practically... you end up having to walk on the road because they grit that but the pavements are deadly.

i once biked 5 miles around the country road on a 1 speed bike. i was very sore the next day. theres no parks around here. you have to drive to them. but theres marathon bikers that come through all the time. they are going like 35mph on their bikes.

Yeah cycling can definitely make you sore! The worst I had was the day before my uni graduation, it was a lovely sunny day so I cycled a round trip of just under 40 miles.

I was actually more sore in the evening rather than the next day but a bonus was that it gave me a nice even tan for my graduation photo.

Pretty sure they won't stop the Concerta because I'm 10x worse without it.

Inpatient psychiatrist says there's some patients that only get one days worth every day

Now I feel sick too much coffee..
Caffeine sickness is awful, just uuuggghhh.

I don't have much money right now as I had to pay full price for my new phone, it was worth it and all but yeah I don't have much right now.

Concerta, I've never taken that one. I tried Adderral or however you spell it and that stuff was a disaster for me, never again nope nope nope.

Preach it, seriously. I am so sick of hearing about the latest in gun violence when the solution is like you said simple and right in front of everyone. Pfft.

I've long thought that it's a part of human nature that when people hear that something is forbidden, they are more drawn to do said forbidden action.

ME. just me. and i know my comment about mental health care is true. we ignore peoples problems and put so much attention on people bringing up themselves and not as a community.

a number of our school shootings have been with the person having mental health issues. why is that? nobody pays attention. i remember being passed down by healthcare providers and i STILL am.
Interesting posts on this topic newtus, I know it's a hot topic so I usually just don't discuss it often but it's interesting to hear people's opinions about it. You too, chickenfoot especially as you're not American you have a very different perspective.

I've been on birth control pills since I was about 17. No side effects other than the odd headache, I get my blood pressure done every three months and it's always fine and I've been on a variety of different meds since I was 16 and the doctors have never been concerned about med interactions or anything like that.

Almost every girl I know is on them, you should try them, there's really nothing to worry about and they do help with the pain.

Yeah the going to the doctor thing is annoying, over here you can get them online with a prescription. Maybe you could do that?
