Question for you regulars:

Do you plan to stay on this site forever? Or you know, a verrrrry long time?

I have been in here since 2011 or so. For 10 years now.

I mean eventually people will leave and it’ll lose its vibe but as long as you guys are around I’ll chat. I don’t really go much around the rest of the forum.

It's been a long time for me already - 8 years or so. I came here when I was 16 for "psychotic depression" and OCD.

I may stay longer idk =]

That sucks. Do you ever try and psych yourself out or deny that it is happening until it gets too bad? I do that..

I'm here for you Newtus! Things are real.. I feel like my slight autism kinda infects this roll call with strange ideas (But I don't post them here often).. Just stuff that I'm interested in..

The thing with psychosis is that you deny that it is happening until someone says "K you're sick.. and you must take med".. But the meds are ok. For you, you like to achieve goals etc - Very good at avoiding some negative symptoms. For me, I manage to do basic things like shower, brush teeth etc idk how - But I don't question it.

Right now I have the weighted blanket on me and I'm drinking a second chamomile tea - Cuz I feel anxiety. I really wish I didn't - But it is the way it is. Things pass.. They always do. Medications work - Same with coping techniques.

My therapist phoned me today and told me about the "Mindshift" app. I'm gonna look it up right now - It's supposed to help with anxiety. So far, for me, my psychosis is under control so no "weird thoughts" as my old psychologist/psych nurse would say.

You'll be ok Newtus ^^

Thank you

I should deny the thoughts but I give into them. But giving into them just for a few seconds can be detrimental for me. But it’s also hard to ignore the thoughts

Ughjhbjghggghhhh

Do you have a PRN? I remember you used to take Haldol. My PRN is olanzepine. It works great.

I could take a Xanax but I won't unless I get depersonalization - Especially when I get derealization. When I get derealization a couple hours before bed (When I can take a zopiclone), I'm completely screwed.

But it's good to not take one - Cuz it all adds up. You have to think of not taking one with positivity like quitting smoking or something. So if you think your anxiety is bad enough, take.

I would try to distract myself and contact my prescriber tomorrow - Although it could be stress induced so try to relax the best way that you can.

I was ready to stop using the weighted blanket. I think by not using it, I'll build a routine to become dependent on the blanket until my anxiety is over.

Mind trick..

But I need to stop chewing nicotine gum and can't..
