Today am going for about a mile walk with my dog. Will incorporate 2 intervals of jogging for 1 minute. Am only doing 2 running intervals so as not to launch a fibromyalgia flare. Editing this to say changed my mind and did 3 jog intervals. I just enjoy it so much I couldn't help myself. Hopefully I won't pay for it.

Self care: going to an AA meeting and socializing with a friend afterward

I just got off the phone with my doctor, apparently my cholesterol is like really high.

Going to have to make some big changes.

I walked a mile or two - still haven't found a good tracker. We are getting a lot of snow this weekend, so I think I will burn some calories shoveling.
Thanks for this!

Your thyroid is OK? I'm glad of that. If you change your diet you'll probably be able to increase your energy!

Did yoga, and left the bike at home and had a nice country ramble.

Definitely more relaxing, being out of the traffic. Will have to do it more often.

No alcohol for a week, and no cravings. Too easy. There must be something wrong!

Newbie checkin in here. I have 40kg to donate, and am a bit fubar after a huge bad car accident that buggered my hip and knee.

Had a hip replacement last year and walk on my own again, and am going to claw my body back. I have also quit smoking. I have survived today Nonsmoking Day #7 - And I'm gonna do some resistance exercises and a little yoga, before bed, which is soon.

Hope everyone is going as well as I am. I'm getting things to snowball in a GOOD direction! <3

Congrats on making it to your 7th day without cigarettes. I was a heavy smoker before and quit so I no how terribly hard it is. Keep up the good work!

Today I'm going for a hike through a wildlife preserve with a friend.

Am not in a fibromyalgia flare after running that little bit yesterday so am very pleased about that. Pretty sore, but it's not a flare. Will probably repeat what I did yesterday a couple more times before adding another period of running to my run/walking.

Self care: just spending time with my friend

Today is my first day of eating healthier. It's going okay so far. I'm really craving chocolate milk though.

I am going grocery shopping this coming week. I need to remember to get sugar free popsicles for a treat and switch from whole to 2% milk to cut back on fat for my cholesterol.

I was going to go jog/walking this a.m. but my legs are just too sore. Probably a combo of jog/walking the other day and my long hike yesterday. So I guess I will take the dogs for about a mile walk today. Tomorrow for sure I'm going jog/walking.

Self care: getting together with a friend to see a movie and out to eat. My T reminds me of the importance of socializing

Everyone thinks I'm "crazy" or "mad", but I'm not! (totally) Yesterday I actually did the 15 mile or so walk; actually, over that. It took me about 5 hours and 30 minutes. It was exhasting towards the end, more so on my feet, back, and shoulders. (rucksack with a loada things in it) Worth it, though. Had a blast. Planning on doing that monthly. At one point I came across an elderly couple and I asked for directions; they were like, "You could just take the bus." ¬_¬ You don't say! xD They looked at me like a nutter when I told them where I was going. Why does everyone think I'm crazy? I'm proud of myself. I think I did an awesome thing.

That *is* awesome! I don't think you are crazy at all. I also like to do loops like that-- but I am not sure I've ever intentionally walked a fifteen mile route! That's fantastic!

I shoveled some snow but feel too lazy to go skiing.

I ate healthy today.

On another note, I came across a disturbing website that's pro anorexia. Some scary stuff and quotes on there, I feel bad for people going through that. You can eat and be healthy, food shouldn't be an enemy.

Zwangsstorung, I think that's awesome and very impressive that you walk such long distances!

Today I'll be going jog/walking with my dog Belle. Just 3 one-minute bursts of jogging again to avoid a fibromyalgia flare. It's only 14 degrees out now, so I'll have to dress appropriately.

Self care: my usual AA meeting at noon and pdoc appointment afterward
Thanks for this!

From tiny acorns, mighty oaks are grown! Fitness/Self Care Check In

My routine is going well. Out on the bike, yoga, eating good stuff and off the booze.

I am starting to do more walking myself. Variety is the spice of life. Its certainly more relaxing to be walking through the countryside rather than being on the bike. More time to stop and admire the view, somehow. Fitness/Self Care Check In
