I really want to cut. I had a really bad anxiety attack earlier and feel terrible. Mum found my blade and she has taken it from me, and now I have to find something else... I don't know what to do. I am just so upset. I had that blade in case, and now it feels like a case to use it, and its been taken from me. I am so angry and upset with her for doing this to me. I wish she would have just left it alone!

That sense of loss of being in control is only going to make you feel worse. There must be something in the air- a lot of people are needing a physical release at the mo. I always kept a razor hidden away just in case, and if I couldn't find it or if I thought someone might find it I paniced. It is a good thing your mum took the blade away- that is one less scar to have to hide. Have you tried going to your room and doing as many sit ups as you can? That is a new release I am using, as it is a physical activity that can be done in the privacy of whatever room you choose in the house, it releases those 'wonderful' endorphines' and the pain after the first 20, 50 or however many you set yourself to do helps with the urges. I hope things settle down for you tonight, and I am off now to take my own advice!!!

Situps are good. Yoga is another one. Flexibility work, particularly. Have you seen the thread up at the top of the page about things to do instead? If exercise isn't the thing for you, maybe you can get another idea there. Let us know if you find something and try it, and how it works for you, okay? And remember you're not alone. We understand wanting this.

Thank you Irishsj and Rapunzel for your replies. I tried situps and they seemed to help a fair bit actually. Thanks for the advice both of you.
