Thanks for all of your encouragement, sundog! You're awesome.
Hi (((((alias))))) You're awesome too!!!! Wow, it's really interesting to hear about conscious sedation. I was not familiar with that at all. Thanks for telling me about it! I'm sure my current dentist doesn't offer this, but I will for sure inquire about it next time he needs to refer me to an endodontist or anything of that nature

I'm so glad you have such a great dentist and that you're not anxious about the work that needs to be done. WELL DONE for making that appointment!!!!

After a few hours of misery, I finally remembered to ground myself and to challenge the fears swirling around my mind. Took my dog walking in woods, all white with fresh snow. I'm about to meet with an administrator re offering a found object doll-making class in the spring through the city Rec Dep't. (gulp...)

I'm having a hard time coming up with do rights today, been a rough day. But I got up, tried to work out (got too frustrated), went to work, and am here. That's all I can do for now.
Thanks for this!

Congratulations to all on their accomplishments.

Today I went to therapy, power washed the windows in the front of the house, adjusted my mini blinds so they're the right length for my window and now I'm going to wine Wednesday (even though I'm not feeling tip-top)

Well done (((((((everyone))))))

I hope your meeting with the administrator went well! ((((((lavie)))))

Sorry you've had a rough day (((((((((PleaseHelp))))))))))) Well done for getting things done

Well done on your do-rights! ((((((kitty)))))))

I hope the new med helps with the nausea ((((((buttrfli))))))) I have problems with nausea too. What med are you going to be taking? (if you don't mind my asking)

It's a challenge for me to come up with a do-right today (though I could easily reel off a long list of "do-wrongs" ) I did take care of a couple of things at work though. And I went to have some blood tests

Sundog. Sorry you had a rough day. I really appreciate this thread b/c it is very easy for me to do the "do-wrongs." This thread makes me think of the rights and then I feel a bit better about myself. Hope today is better for you.

Yesterday: besides going to work, got some bills paid, did dishes, went out with a friend who was down, thought about getting to work on my jean quilt (OK I actually do need to just work on it, but does thinking about it count )

Will get back to you on today.
Thanks for this!

Yay team. As hard as it is sometimes to come with "do rights", you're all doing it. Sundog, I'm sorry that you're having a rough day. Hope the labwork is informative, at least. I went to the library when I couldn't get an internet connection at home. I so want my own internet account, instead of a fickle rogue hot spot in my neighborhood. I also finally vacuumed up the dirt and dog hair bunnies. That always feels better. I should do it more often!

yay (((Kitty(((, you got the job watching the second little one. I bet you will be great at this. A wonderful job for sure

(((Junarian))) I did not know that you are another angel who takes care of children.

Thank you ((( Sundog ))) for sending me some CA sunshine in spirit. Today was the 20th day out of 21 days that there was snow !!! On sunday it will not snow, but they say the high will not be above zero,. And the low will be 20 below. So I am planning to get things done on Saturday when it will be around 15 degrees for a high. I completely understand about not answering emails sometimes. Great that you forced yourself to answer. One less thing to worry about !!! (((((Sundog)))))), Perhaps not every day can be a day where we can overtly find things we did right. But maybe this is when we can remember that we are "human beings".
not "human doings.

Wow (((missbelle))). 101 years old. Bless her, and bless you !!!!!

(((Pleasehelp))), you never ever sound like a "screw up". You sound like a busy woman who loves and takes care of her chidlren and does what is needed whenever possible. <3

(((Buttrfli))), I so hope the nausia subsides. I know its pretty awful to be nausiated for any period of time. I hope the new meds work.

(((Alias))), so glad to hear that your Dentist offers medication for nerves. As someone who lived with fear of denistry ( something that happened when I was young) It was a great relief for me to find a good safe dentist.

Yayyyyyyy ((( Laveenrose ))), you persevered and prevailed over your neighbors lack of respect for you. Great job!!! you rock !!! I do hope you can get some good internet connection soon.

So many posts here since I last came to pc. I am not sure what I did right today. I suppose I breathed. I am not sure I did anything particularly constructive. So I will simply say that I breathed. I washed my hair. I woke up. I talked on the phone for hours, lol. And I came here. I did send off an order for suppliments. That was a good thing. I put a full spectrum lightbulb in the reflector goose neck metal lamp where I sit at the computer for hours a day. So i can get some good rays. Where I live is perpetually cloudy in the winter.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Sunsetsunrise. I went to an ACOA speaker meeting, and the speaker was amazing. Joined ACOA friends at a cafe afterwards. In the p.m., a photographer friend came over and took a lot of pictures of me so that I can have 1 or 2 good ones for an internet presence. I really wanted to cancel, but didn't. Even xanax didn't relax me, but I got through it. I hate being photographed and it shows.

Last night I went to bed when I felt I needed to. I got up relatively on time today (later than I would have liked but earlier than normal). I ate and went over to spend time with my goddaughter. I french braided her hair into pigtails...not an easy task on a squirming 6 year old and they looked better than last time Then I went and picked up my prescriptions... and the day's only half over. I'm planning to vacuum and mop the kitchen and put away the load of laundry that's in the dryer.

Congratulations to everyone on their do-rights!

Yes, I definitely believe that thinking about doing something does count!!!! ((((((((PleaseHelp))))))) Well done!

Thanks for the med info ((((((Butterfli))))))) I really hope it helps you!

Well done for going to the ACOA meeting and socializing aftewards!! (((((((lavie)))))))) And well done on having some photos taken!! That's great!

(((((((((sunsetsunrise)))))))))) I'm really sorry you're still having so much snow!!!! Well done on your "do-rights" and I absolutely love what you say here about reminding ourselves that we are human BEINGS not human DOINGS!!

How lovely that you went to spend time with your goddaughter today ((((((((kitty))))))) Good luck with the household chores this afternoon!!

Talking of household chores, that is my do-right today! I washed the kitchen, hall and downstairs bathroom floors (all of which are tile. Ugh!!!!) And did some general straightening up around the house.

Hugs to all!

You are all in my thoughts, as you make your way through the day, and then come here to share those right things you accomplished.

You are all in my heart, as I feel warmed and encouraged by you and your actions, and thankful you remind me what goodness is possible in life.

Thank you.

I'm sure I've done at least one thing right most days, though I haven't had the energy to post as much as I'd like. The few posts I make seem to drain me quite a bit.

My mom and I went on our longest walk yet yesterday, in the frigid afternoon hours, through streets crowded with happiness and activity. I had to smile at two little kids wrestling in the snow as we walked by--their exuberance and friendliness were palpable. Again, I really admire the cooperative nature of my fellow urbanites when conditions are less than ideal--pedestrian resources are at a premium with all this unmovable snow, yet everyone shares the limited space in good spirit. I made supper when we got home.

My whole life these days is walking, eating, and shoveling snow...the last of which I did for hours earlier this week. I fear there will be no end to winter, and I used to like this time of year.
Thanks for this!

Good work everyone

Do rights for yesterday and so far today: yesterday - made coffee, spent some time with 'my' sister, took my 3 year old nephew out for lunch and do errands (b/c his mommy needed a break), talked about stuff that was bothering me with my bf. today - made coffee, made breakfast, started and am doing laundry, went to the mall with bf, helped bf move some stuff around, am seriously considering starting on that jean quilt!

I folded some laundry last night and went to bed early, midnight, and woke up at noon. Took a shower and am going to church this evening.

I slept through the night without medication. I did some communicating at PC, took my dog to a park in frigid weather to fling tennis balls. Later, walked him briefly. A friend picked me up for an event at a church. However, an unexpected event triggered me badly, left me in tears before strangers. She drove me home. Not much of a "do right", but my intentions were good. I do need to "process" what happened. It was intense. Sorry for being off topic.

I'm so sorry you got badly triggered today ((((((((lavie))))))))) We're here for you

Glad you had such a great sleep! (((((((buttrfli))))))

Sounds like you had a super-productive day! (((((((((PleaseHelp)))))))

(((((((((Nola))))))))))) Your writing is so poetic. Just beautiful! Thank you for sharing it - and your do-rights! - with us

I went for a really lovely hike today with my husband and our dogs. It was my idea to go to this particular place and it was very beautiful. We both took our cameras with us and had fun taking shots of the bucolic scenes. And of the dogs!

I hope you are feeling better, lavie! It was still a do-good to get out there.

I called someone I have known for years (online), but never talked to before. For me this is big because of some level of laziness and general low self esteem. I hate talking to people about myself, and sometimes I fear this makes me a lousy live conversationalist.

That's pretty much it.

Congrats to everyone else who got stuff done today!

Thanks Alias, Sundog, and everyone. This thread helps me feel a bit more connected, that we're all in this together. It took a while to get out of bed, but I did. Breaded and fried chicken breasts, which sounds simple enough. I got a few errands done in town. And walked my dog, despite being pulled by him on icy streets.

((lavieenrose)) yay for walking the dog...maybe you could think of it as ice skating?

I started both my new babysitting jobs today. It went very well. I got up on time, I greeted parents and discussed important things (like getting copies of the kids insurance and what they like to eat). I made breakfast for myself and one kid. I played with one kid while the other napped. I made lunch for her. I talked to her mom when she picked the kiddo up. I did not reply in a nasty manner when this mom butted in about the car seat for the other child, instead I calmly explained 3 different times that the car seat was in fact a car seat not a booster (as she was claiming). Yes, it converts into a booster but it has a harness for children between 20-65 lbs then it converts to a booster. It is ranked number 1 for safety by consumer reports. The other child (not hers) will be perfectly safe in it. I took a little nap. I got up with the boy, made lunch again...fed him. I played with him. I had a nice chat with both his parents (at different times). It was a good very productive day.

I'm still on a simple track here, and I found my way back to being a kid for a few minutes this afternoon as I had a quick lunch of honey roasted peanut butter on a slice of Wonder Bread. I never, ever buy white bread anymore--I'd forgotten how good it tastes with peanut butter though. Can't wait to bust out the preserves.

Everyone here is awesome. kitty, keep kicking some parental butt in the kindest possible way--I am glad you stood up for yourself. alias, I hear your pain--I'm always a little unnerved by the first phone call in a relationship. In my opinion, steering the conversation towards ideas is always best, and you can talk about yourself as you gain comfort. sundog, you are so very sweet--thank you for your kind words and never-ending support. Your hike must have been super fun! lavieenrose, I always picture your walks with Sherman as beautiful adventures. PleaseHelp, you consistently blow me away with how much you get done!!

Hugs to everyone here. And that means everyone, even if I didn't mention your post.

Well done for making that call!!! ((((((((alias)))))))

Well done for doing your errands!!! (((((((((((((lavie))))))))))

Really glad to hear your new jobs are going well!!! It sounds like you are doing a great job!!!!! (((((((((((kitty))))))))

Yay for feeling like a kid again!!!!!!! (((((((((((((Nola)))))))))))))

Hugs to all

I took some prescription medicine. I know that doesn't sound like much!!! (And it isn't!!!) But I have this phobia about taking medication that I've never taken before in case I have a bad reaction. Typically I will pick up my prescription from the pharmacy, but then I won't take it. Anyhow, this particular prescription has very little chance of side effects, so it was easier for me to take it!

yayyyy (((Kitty))), you rock !! Very cewl how you explained so calmly to the parent. And cudos for having gotten such a good car seat.

(((Lavienne))) I wish we had ACOA close to where I live. We once did and I loved it. It was a very close knit community. And congrats on allowing the photos to be taken. Great job !! I am sorry you got triggered at church. Sometimes what comes out of having been triggered is some healing. And I do not think you were "off topic" Thanks for writing it here. <3

(((Nola))) I do love reading your words about your nature walks. your prose is quite poetic. ( after writing this i read what Sundog wrote to you, same thing )

(((Pleasehelp))) sounds like your day had a lot of do goods in it.

(((Buttrfli))) I hope that church was good today. Going to bed early sounds like quite a luxury

(((Alias))) sounds great. You overrode your fear and spoke with the person on the phone. Vewy cewl indeed.

(((Sundog))) thank you for being you. I am hoping that the RX medicine helps you !!!

I ran the dishwasher, Vacumed a bit. Went to the chiropractor, sent out tow birthday cards ( well they were homemade. I do not buy cards anymore. I use photographs of flowers on card stock ) I posted here. Cooked some vegetables and went to the grocery store. <3<3<3 for all
