There's this girl who's been living in the apartment next to mine for almost two years. She's younger, pretty, and very out going. I always thought she was making a concerted effort to avoid me and it's been an a big frustration of mine. Like me, she's a cat owner and there has been this stray wandering around for at least two weeks which has made my cat very jealous. A few days ago, she was outside her door feeding this cat so I decided to tell her what the problem was with my cat. She suggested I call the animal welfare people to have the cat removed but I told her I'd give it more time because I knew how much she liked this cat. To my surprise, we ended up talking for at least a half hour about all the cats we've had. She was so nice to me, at least in the sense that she treated me in a way I did not ever expect. Turns out my cat is only bothered by the actual sight of this stray when it's on my back patio but it hasn't been out there anymore because she has been feeding the cat on our front porch area on a regular basis.

Anyway, she was out there feeding the cat tonight and I decided to go out there and tell her that my cat is ok and I have no problem with this stray being here. We ended up talking again longer than I expected and I started to get a little nervous because I'm not used to this. Even when I opened the door to go back inside, we still kept talking for a bit. Since I'm so inexperienced at this, I don't know what to make of this as far as how much she likes me but all I can say is that I LOVE it. I don't know where to go from here.
