The guy who messed up my life is in prison now...As of last week...Phew....I lost a lot of time to this (met him in May 2004)...Hard to believe one day of walking into that store where he worked did this - and the one day of being in court - that was the last straw...

....and now I have panic attacks, became agaoraphobic when I went to court, and I am depressed. But I am feeling better...like I am waking up...since he was put away a few days ago...but I have been unable to function for 10 mo now - today I was out all day...it was nice.

Has anyone else dealt with these feelings? Of "waking up" after being "asleep" (I was supposedly "shell-shocked" after seeing him in court) for a really REALLY long time...I mentioned this elsewhere...

My memory is pretty bad most of the time He is in prison Lately

The road back (to myself) seems so long I am kind of scared...

Hi Jackie!

I am sorry you are feeling so badly. Yes, for years after my husband died..the minute I became conscious in the morn. I would run for the Valium bottle..and settle myself down. Phewey...don't know how I survived it..but I did, Jackie. It takes a while though..as everyone is different.

You have been through some nasty and difficult times . I wish I could just wave them all away for ya'. PM me anytime you want. I really know 'bout panic. Believe me!! He is in prison He is in prison

(((((((Yack))))))) I am so sorry you are going through this. It sounds like you are slowly beginning to come out of the continuous fear he brought upon you. Good luck and I hope your symptoms continue to subside. It was very courageous for you to go to court. I think you are stronger than you think. I am so happy you had a good day out; you deserve many more. Wishing you the recover you have waited so long for.
