This is my first time posting although I have sat here for a couple of days trying to. I was raped while working almost a year ago and I am just basically a mess all the way around. I was diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, and OCD. It is all so overwhelming and I feel like my world has crumbled all to pieces.

You are not broken by what happened to you. You are in the right place. Im sending hugs your way.

You can overcome lots of this. Have you seen a therapist yet? i know it helps me. And it helps to be with my friends here at pc. they are the best people all grouped up into one.

Just take a deep breath. and start journaling. it also helps me. Anything I can answer for you i will. pm me anytime.

Kaye,
Rape is a very difficult thing to deal with…so is the resulting PTSD. You have made a huge step forward by posting here—reaching out to others is a step towards healing. Thank you so much for trusting us.

I am sorry this is a short reply to your post—I have just a few minutes before I must leave. But, I wanted you to know that I read your post and I care about you.

Please know I am thinking of you and sending you positive thoughts.

You are not alone dear one. I'm so sorry for what you are going through.

It takes strength to reach out and post here for the first time and you did a wonderful job of it. There are many wonderful folks here who can relate to what you have been through. I myself am one of them.

Your life is not over....it may be changed, but not over by a long shot. I know it feels that way now....but it won't always feel that way.

Please take good care of yourself ok? You are very important and deserve all the care you can get.

Kaye,

Welcome. I can relate to what you are going through. I have the same diagnoses and similar past. I know how overwhelming it feels, and how nothing seems to stay together enough for comfort. But I promise you with a bit of courage to reach out and accept help, you can heal. This place can be part of that.

So, I welcome you again. You are not alone in your journey to restore peace to your life. We can help you heal here.

be well,

mtd

Thanks for the welcome ! You reminded me of my big brother that passed away in 2001 - he was my protector as well. Thanks for the reminder and the smile I got when I saw this.

Gentle hugs. I understand and have been where you are both in what happened and in reaching out for the first time. We are here to walk this road together and support one another in your time of need. If you fall just know that we are here to lift you up until you are strong enough to stand again.

Thank you for posting. That was very brave of you. That first step is always the hardest. But you did it. Just know that I care and am here if you ever want to talk. Take care and know you are loved.
