I have no concept of time but I've been clean for a bit now Minor Accomplishment Since I went to hospital. I'm not really sure if it "counts" because I was in hospital part of the time and otherwise I've been in bed, always being watched, but I still haven't taken anything in that time. Even though I haven't had the opportunity to, I guess it's a minor accomplishment. Withdrawal is awful but I have to keep telling myself that the people I love matter the most.

Getting a T once I'm out of bed rest so I'm going to look into some addiction stuff at the same time Minor Accomplishment Just thought I'd share.

It doesn matter how minor it is, what counts is that you are accomplishing something.

Griffe what matters is right now you're clean. And yes withdrawl sucks big time, but once it's over you start to feel so much better. I'd really encourage you to consider treatment - It helped me a great deal. Just try to take it one day at a time, and remember your reasons for wanting to be clean.

It all counts no matter what - if you had wanted to get around the measures in place to relapse, you could have. But you didn't, so good job!

Withdrawal is brutal for anything. Minor Accomplishment Good luck on getting a T and perhaps someone who deals with addictions stuff at the same time might work??

Everyday counts--no matter how we get them! Getting a recovery plan organized with your T sounds like a good idea. Don't let the addiction sneak back up on you. Congrats on being sober!

There's no minor pregnancy. Accomplishment just is. One size fits all. Good work!

dont belittle your accomplishments. I'm proud of you. Stay strong, keep up the crusade, the end is worth the means.

Your life and how it affects others is so valuable.

Congrats on whatever time you have accumulated clean. In addition to getting an addiction therapist, I would strongly suggest you find the nearest Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. You will find support there from people, and you could also find a sponsor that can provide additional support.

Also, if you can, try and find the date that you got clean, even if you were in a hospital. That date can be an important milestone for you in your progress in sobriety.

That is not minor accomplishment it is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT. Don't sell yourself short. Every clean day is a wonderful day. Cherish every one of them. You worked very hard for each one of them. Great Job!

I also recommend an addiction T and joining an addiction fellowship. The fellowship will put you in touch with people just like you and you can form a support group and make friends that are not using and they will have activities that are good clean fun.

Go to your local library and check out an AA or NA book.

Keep us updated on your clean days. You don't have to relapse. If you do, that's ok., pick yourself up and start again.
