Thought it was time for a new diet thread for the new year plus I am recommitted to losing this extra 33 pounds that I gained in 14 months.
I started dieting on 1-4-17. I ate and drank so much this past year. No wonder I gained all of this weight.
I feel so heavy...I was going to say fat but decided to say heavy cause it sounds nicer to myself.
I see my pdoc on tuesday, she is going to have a fit.
I will tell her about taking the amino acids that I am now taking:
GABA for improved sleep
glutamine to help with cravings, both food and alcohol. I think it helps when I choose to take it.

I had a gallbladder attack on the 1st & my gallbladder removed on the 3rd. My appetite is virtually non-existant & I think I've lost considerable weight. I'm considering publishing "The Gallbladder Diet" to add to all books in the diet section at my local bookstore. It really works!

So does losing a spouse. I've dropped over 60 lbs in less than six months. No diet, just eating better than I used to and I get full really, really fast.

Taking Metiforin. Haven't lost yet.
My weight gain is from psych meds.
The reason I haven't taken it off is chronic inactivity.

I'm on the low carb train. Only been at it for a week but I've lost six pounds. Probably a lot of water weight but still. I've found my alcohol cravings have reduced significantly on low carb. I drank last night but I wasn't even sure I wanted to. I just did bc I'm used to drinking every weekend. I didn't drink as much as I usually do. And I didn't binge on salty a sweet snacks like I usually do when drinking. So I consider that a win. I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking once a week but I was getting to the point where I would crave alcohol (but not drink it) even on weekdays. Those cravings are gone.

I'm hoping this diet will help me fit back into my clothes. When I bought size 18 jeans and they didn't even fit...that's when I said to myself I have to do something different. I can't keep buying a whole new wardrobe every three months because of weight gain.

I'm also going to be stopping my weight gain med in the next few months. That might help but I don't know. We will see.

For breakfast, I had 3 slices of toast because we ran out of food. lol. We then went grocery shopping and I picked up a chicken Parmesan dish. It's the fresh kind that they prepare in the grocery store. Chicken was baked (instead of fried), and it came with fresh ziti. I'm eating it now... well, 1/3 of it because it's a whole chicken breast.

Well I got desperate in that my clothes don't fit.
Low carb is pretty simple, you are never hungry.
I am trying to eat healthier too.

Breakfast for lunch, my favorite:
egg white omelette with spinach and tomatoes and onions
and pepper jack cheese with half an avocado on top.
It was delicious! and 1/2 cup of pineapple

dinner:
4oz hamburger patty with hot sauce
butternut squash
and another half an avocado.
1 oz of cheddar cheese
1 dark chocolate truffle
2 oz of drambuie=18 carbs.

I want to lose ten pounds.

I'm not eating chips or crackers anymore. And I'm going to avoid sweets.

Today I had two oranges, an apple, some tofu with beans and salsa, and two veggie hot dogs with mustard. It seems like a lot and I'm really disappointed with myself. I need to lose this weight! My clothes fit better when I weigh less. I hate having clothes that feel sort of tight!

I'm also going to keep on going to the gym at least five nights out of the week, weather permitting.

I think I need to intake more salt because Abilify has lowered my blood pressure to the point I get incredibly dizzy whenever I stand up. My pdoc said, "don't stand up too fast or you'll get dizzy," but no matter how slow I stand up, I feel as though I'm going to pass out! (I start seeing stars and things start to go black... Then I start losing my balance.)

So this morning, I ate a bagel with butter. Going to eat one of my veggie soups for lunch: https://www.campbells.com/campbell-s...le-chili-soup/

Probably not going to have dinner because I'm never hungry for it. Might eat a mid-afternoon snack, though, as I usually do that. Protein bar. Good amount of fat + gives me protein. Don't want too many carbs because I have to watch my cholesterol.

Eat more food in general blue. more protein, meat eggs, cheese, yogurt.
try to resist the candy at work. could you bring some nuts to munch on during the day when you get snacky. smoked almonds are salty! Also you may not be drinking enough water. support hose can sometimes help with the dizziness.

I'm partly vegetarian. Don't eat fowl or beef.
Right now I'm battling a medication related weight gain. This after an extreme weight loss ip.
Have 3 different sizes in closet.

I'm not a nut person, but I can do bars with nuts in them as long as the nut flavor is mostly masked. That's why I don't eat nuts by themselves... not a huge fan of the flavor. I do, however, like seeds... such as sunflower seeds. I eat those. Lots of protein there. I just haven't bought some in a while. Maybe I should buy them.

I don't eat much food in general because Lamictal killed my appetite. Abilify is supposed to increase appetite, but it's never done that to me.

Dr said I'm supposed to stay away from dairy if I can (because of the cholesterol issue). So even when I eat things with butter, I eat heart healthy margarine... the low cal one.

I don't eat much meat in general, or eggs. If I eat eggs, it's because they're mixed into a cake batter lol. I prefer other means of getting protein

Well I joined an email thread at work for motivation for exercise. I live an extremely sedentary lifestyle, I'm pretty sure that doesn't work in my favor. I plan on grocery shopping later this week and buying some better foods for me. Let's do this!

Just got back from the gym! Feel so much better. I was so stressed out and down.

Today I ate two veggie dogs with mustard, an orange, and three pieces of my husband's pumpkin sauce/avocado/walnut/tomato pizza. Sounds weird, but it's really good!

Nice bizi

Chipotle is one of my favorites. I think the cheese is jack cheese, or at least it tastes that way to me

I really like their corn salsa. My favorite ingredient

Pork was a good choice for being healthy. Have you tried their sofritas?
