Probably. I am already subscribed to the Psych Central Newsletter, so what's one more positive thing? Doesn't hurt right?

Question: What time of day do you feel yourself skewing up into hypomania?

question:

if you knew psychcentral had an email chat list (like this, but on email), would you join it?
It’s a Johnny Cash song lyric (I’m just answering since he doesn’t come here much)

Cold drinks.

Since my previous question was skipped, (looks like by mistake) I will ask it again.

Q: What time of day do you feel your hypomania sneaking in?

A: I don’t know if it’s hypomania as such, but my head is at its clearest and I’m at my most energetic 10am - 4pm.

Q: Does colour affect your mood ?

Yes. Reds irritate me. Pastels make the opposite.

No question.

do you know (or have any idea) what caused your MI?

you don't have to say, just a yes or no

2 months. I was only on lamictal and felt great. Then psychosis slapped me in the face.

Q:Where is the best place you have ever been?

The White Mountains. I'm working on the NH48 (hiking all the 4000+ft mountains in New Hampshire) and along with exploring other places off the list I have found some magnificent places in the region.

Has mania or mixed mania ever made you violent?

Yes. I slapped my sister once when we are fighting and I was manic.

Have you ever had a relationship with a therapist that became friendship later?

No. I like boundaries - as in you’re the professional expert and I’m the patient. I had a therapist try to develop a peer to peer relationship. It made me very uncomfortable and I stopped seeing them.

I love travel. Does anyone else like overseas travel?

the closest i've ever got to an airport is watching a couple of planes on tv

would never travel abroad though, seeing as planes are triggers for me.

question: have you ever had a wasp/ bumble be land on you, but not actually sting you?

I like words that end with the letter A, because my voice can usually pronounce the A's in those words very well

words like australia,

acfrica

data

banana

and any girl's names that end with an A as well

well just anything that ends in A.

I also like the word, status, and the word atlantis

and airport

Cassandra. I always LOVED that name.

Speaking of kids, if you have any, or thought of having any, were you ever worried that your bipolar would pass down to them?

I think i'd be worried more about the level of care I was able to give to them

for example: their are plenty of days where I can't even look after myself.

and if I can't look after myself, how am I meant to look after kids?

plus, baby crying is a trigger for me because it starts me off. so it's probably a no go anyway.

on the positive side, since I have trouble sleeping, i'd have no problem being up at night for the feeds.

question:

are their medications/ treatments that you refuse to try?. if so, what are they and why

Q: How much sleep do you get at night? Do you nap?

I don't nap, never believed in it.

the day is for living, not for napping (god knows how i'd cope if I went to spain lol!)

I don't get much sleep at night either

without sleep meds nothing at all

with them maybe 1 or 2 hours (but closer to one)

sleeping has always been something i've struggled with

question: do you write to-do lists?

and if so, do you write them every day?

I write to do lists when I have things that need done and feel well enough to do them. I also email myself reminders to take care of things.

What would you do if the only med you hadn't tried was highly likely to help but also highly likely to cause a lot of weight gain? Take it or no?
