I don't think I really had a " best day"

every day is like groundhog day in my house, just with some variations (like for meals and stuff)

question: how much sleep have you managed to get within the last week?

I've had 2 hours sleep each night for the last 3 weeks so I guess 14 hours in a week. This is with sleeping tablets. I only got 7 days worth of it so I don't think they worked.

Question: What's your favourite tv show of all time?

benidorm.

it's finished now (sadly), but for the 10 years it lasted, it's the funniest thing I know- plus it inspired one of my stories so it must be special.

do you often get ill? (physical)

No although I have some chronic physical issues that I'm always dealing with.

Do you/have you had a blog?

not a blog, but a journal.

I had the oppotunity to start a blog on word press (as I wanted to follow someone else), but I didn't in the end

I have a WordPress blog at Bird Flight – "She recovers through flight, dance, writing, and cooking up a storm.". I'd say that 40% of my posts are bipolar/mental health related (reflections, stories, articles), and the rest are on a variety of other interests (misc. articles, reflections, poetic prose, animal topics, recipes/food, travel, and social issues). I'll admit that my posts have slowed down significantly, and lately are mostly about my weight loss journey, which hasn't gone that well lately.

What is your biggest obstacle, if any, to achieving what you'd like to achieve?

not knowing what I want out of life

I mean how can you acheeve something you want, if you don't know what you want to begin with?

if I did, I guess my biggist obstacle would be my anxiety, or my lack of education- one of those too

what did you do for your last birthday?

I can't remember. I think not much because I was really sick waiting to get my gall bladder removed.

Do you sleep through the night or do you wake up for the bathroom or a drink or whatever?

I certainly don't sleep through the night

if I did I think I'd be worried... because it wouldn't be normal for me at all and I'd be worried I was sick!

question: what kind of stuff do you watch on TV?

The weather, Rick and Morty, and North Woods Law are pretty much all I watch
Q: What's the best song you heard within the past month or so?

rick and morty is brilliant!

my family might be good for **** all, but it was my brother who originally introduced me to rick and morty (though to be fair, I always channel surf, and would probably have stumbled across it eventually). I do that all the time- stumble across shows.

hmm

I don't think I've really heard any new songs in the past month, since I tend to stick to the stuff I get for my music collection.

but I did hear real good time the other day- a song I used to like by roll deep

reminded me I needed to redownload it

I walk away.

Do you always sit in the same place in therapy or pdoc's office?

Hi Olga. Welcome to PC.

This particular thread is a game and unfortunately not a place you'll get support rapidly. I would suggest going to the bipolar page and starting a new thread. Then everyone will see it and be able to help.

I have an iPhone. I used to have an iPod but it broke and I don't need it anyway with the phone.

What diagnosis is currently most bothersome?

What time of day are you most likely to forget your meds -- Morning, afternoon or night?

I more often forget to take my evening meds at my regular time than my morning meds at my regular time, but rarely completely forget them. What happens is that if I forget my evening meds at the regular time I will eventually figure out that I forgot by around 11 pm. How? Because I won't be even the least bit tired, unlike usual. In these cases, I then take my evening meds very late and can't fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning. That often screws up my next morning. If I didn't take my evening meds at all I would hardly sleep and likely become unwell.

As said, I rarely forget my morning meds either, but have. Since there is no immediate clue, like insomnia, they can be completely forgotten. I will say that when that happens, I usually do have some mood issues because of that. I use pill boxes, so can see if I missed a dose.

For how long have you been on at least most of your current bipolar meds?

We're a little out of sequence so I'll just answer the last question I see.

I'm coming of klonopin starting Friday.

Same question since I answered my own: Have you ever come offf a benzo?

Nope, never (they have always refused to prescribe them).

How do you deal with feelings of rejection caused by neurotypical/average people misunderstanding your condition?

honest answer:

I get anxious, I get depressed, and I start feeling that if one person won't understand it, I'm not good for anyone or anything

unhealthy I know, but that's the way it's always been- I can't seem to change it

question: have you ever given a gift to your therapist/ pdoc/ anyone involved in your treatment?
Hugs from:

The only "gift" I ever gave to such professionals was a lovely flower arrangement in a decorative watering can. I gave it to her the last time I would see her. She moved her office far away, but saw me for next to nothing at her new location (which hubby drove me to on Saturdays for a couple months) while I transitioned to a new therapist. She was a wonderful therapist and person. I never had such a connection with a therapist before her. She loved the flowers. It was an appropriate gift.

I've sent my psychiatrist of 15 years cards on three ocasions. Via post to his office. Once was a get well card, another an appreciation card, and the most recent a card written when manic, scolding him slightly for replacing a painting in his office. He acknowledged and thanked me for the first two only. I know he read the third.

I know that some of my psychiatrists and therapists received gifts from patients. It's often artwork. Some better of such artwork is displayed in their offices

Have you ever kissed/hugged or been kissed or hugged by any of your past and present psychiatrists and/or therapists? What were the reactions? Have you wanted to express affection to one but didn't?
