Not always, sometimes it's just numbness, which I am not sure if that is worse or not, the jury is still out on that. I think the last time, the BP stablized and the anxiety/panic disorder shot up through the roof. Hypo is definitely possible; I am still sleeping 5 hours at night, don't sleep that much with full mania.

Pharmacy had to order the 100 mg pills, so I will start it tomorrow night.

I ended up taking the trazodone at 2:15am because I still had no signs of falling asleep. I woke up at 6:15 to put in my absence. I didn’t want to tell my mom I wasn’t going to work because she wouldn’t believe me when I said it was because of a cold. She would have grilled me on depression and sleep. So I left the house as normal and went to target for some Christmas gifts and then drove around till I was sure she had gone to work.

The cold isn’t TOO bad, just a very sore throat and a cough. If I had gotten enough sleep I probably could have made it through work. But I didn’t so I stayed home and slept all day. Slept from 9:30a to 2:30p. I still feel like **** from the cold but I’m not as tired. Think I’m going to skip taking my son to swim lessons today though. I don’t want to have to take two days in a row off so I need to rest as much as possible so I feel better tomorrow.

I have to tell RS about my past with self injury. Things got pretty far last night in terms of intimacy. If we get fully intimate, which we plan to do Saturday, he will see all the ugly scars. I don’t want him to be shocked or disgusted. I figure if I tell him he can make the decision whether it’s too much for him to deal with or not. I’d rather know now. And I can’t hide it anyway. My scars are numerous and obvious. I’m nervous though. But I figure if he can’t deal with it it’s better to know that.

Question - I got sick at Thanksgiving and have no signs left but an annoying cough. I’m confused because I’m taking up to 4 naps a day (I never nap) due to fatigue and I’m stiff and achy when I move my limbs or try to walk. This has not happened to me before. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I just still recovering? Is this normal? I have a physical on the 12th and wondered if I should wait that long to see my doc. Collectively, you guys and gals seem to know everything or at least have experienced it so I thought I’d ask. Thanks for your input.

Warm wishes and hugs to all.

I thought I was just manic but
Possible trigger:
So now I'm wondering if I'm becoming mixed. I just want to find stability. I see the psychologist on Friday so maybe he can help me figure this out.

Can you safely wait until Friday? Do you think you should give him a heads up just in case?

I am sorry you are going through this!

You may be still recovering? It can take 2-3 weeks to recover some of the respiratory illnesses going around. Do you think any of your symptoms might be a med side-effect, assuming you were put on antibiotics?
I hope your symptoms go away soon!

Love and Prayers,

WC

I think I'll be okay until Friday. I don't see my pdoc until January though and the secretary told me he is booked.

For now, I am doing better off the gabapentin. It made me feel numb/dumb cognitively, made me very dizzy, made me very sleepy during the daytime.

Cold/bronchitis seems to be improving w/using inhalers (for asthma).

I am currently catching a bit more sleep at night, thankfully.
I have a sleep study in 5 days.

I want to feel hopeful, pretty please.

Love to All!

You've been having a rough time.

I hope you are safe. I also hope your psychologist can help. Can your psychologist help to get you in to your pdoc sooner if you both agree it's critical? Sometimes, pdocs leave space in their schedule for emergencies.

Please take exceptional care.

I think you are right. It has been just 10 days and it could be that and the antibiotics. I’ll quit being so impatient and give it some time. Thank you for your input.

I wish for lots of hope for you as well. I’m glad you got some relief from not taking that medication (I had never heard of that one). I hope you get some relief from your cold/bronchitis soon. I also hope the sleep study gets you some solid answers and a plan to work toward. You deserve a break.

Sending big hugs and supportive vibes.

I am also very impatient in recovering right now.

I am concerned about you.

Please keep an eye on things, to be sure they continue headed in the right direction.

I'm tired and have got a new sore in my mouth from the Modafinil.

My pdoc knows about it and I'm not having other side effects so maybe it'll pass. These sores have been coming and going over the past 6 weeks.

I'm learning and doing allot during the day so that's keeping me distracted from the depression that I still have.

Not eating enough even though I try to eat often instead of larger meals. But I'm not losing weight, which is good but I still have 40 pounds to re-gain (I lost all that weight from a reaction to Lamictal last year).

I'm glad you're doing better off the gabapentin. (It helps me a lot. Just goes to show how much these things can vary(!))

Thanks, Innerzone!

I was able to easily tolerate high doses of gabapentin over the past few months. For some reason, I cannot tolerate even 100mg. now. This has happened to me before w/gabapentin and w/other meds. (I have not increased other meds.) It may be a change in mood status? So might the better sleep be a change in mood. I see pdoc Friday.

I have been thinking of you both last night and today, hoping you find a viable solution to your current situation. I could easily get very depressed and anxious if in your situation. (I know this from my past struggles w/Medicaid.)

I hope and pray this all works out for you.
My heart goes out to you!

I can't tell if I'm just having an awful day or if I'm starting a depressive episode.

Possible trigger:

I already felt like sh_t and now the voices are back. All I want to do is cry and tell everyone to go away and leave me alone. I already had a therapy appt this morning, but I wasn't feeling bad until a few hours ago. I was thinking about calling her and asking for advice, but I don't want to bug her. Plus, there is nothing she can humanly do. The voices are here to stay and that's what I have to deal with.

Jennifer, I might suggest if you are having symptoms that are lasting and not sure you should wait that you call the doctor's office and speak to someone there. Usually you can describe your symptoms to a nurse and if they aren't sure themselves they will consult with the doctor. I did this recently myself with something and they had me come in earlier. Feel better!

A friend of mine that I only see at Starbucks said she'll tell me if Im acting off somehhow. So far she says ive looked tired a lot. My eyes are always half closed for soome reason! But I saw a show where this woman's plastic surgery was bothed and she could only close her eyes half way! How can she sleep? I just got a shower. Feelin good. We are putting our tree up soon. Its fake. Oh! Our smoke detector had been beeping every minute or so for a week. All maintenance did was replace the battery. I TRIED that. Go figure. We also signed our new lease today. Maybe ill try seroquel 50 tonight. I have 1/3 of a pill bottle full of pills ive stopped taking. Trazodone, seroquel, and haldol.

Pdoc said to stay on olanzapine and up my dose of Rexulti to 2 mg. I have terrible tinnitus and think it is the olanzapine making it worse but at least I slept last night.

Hi guys! That stupid monitor is finally off the moment that thing beeped I was like get this thing off of me. Where the stupid stickers are is all red and irritated, apparently the brand of stickers had Nickle in it and that is why I reacted so badly to it. I cried the moment M pulled the stupid stickers off it was so satisfying, not as satisfying as getting home and running to the shower. That shower felt amazing, it really is the little things that you miss. My dad kept trying to talk the moment I hit the door and it's like nope I need a shower.

Around lunch my Cardiologist called with the results of the Echocardiogram, everything was perfectly normal, now hopefully the Holter shows that the Beta blocker is working and that it is working with the Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. I am just glad to be free of irritating stickers. I still have a terrible rash from the stickers but with cream and Benadryl I'm not itchy. I hope it clears up by Monday otherwise I'll have some explaining for my primary doc.

I also canceled a therapy appointment in favor of a shower, so I'll only have one day of therapy this week.

Hugs to everyone

Hope your feeling better soon. I ditched work many times in my life , I just had to get a break.... for a long time I worked 3 Jobs. You going off to Target until your Mom was gone to work makes sense.

As for letting this guy know about your self harm , yes that will be tough , but needs to be done of course.

Do you think you might be jumping into bed too soon?? Maybe let it all sink in a bit so that you know he “gets it” to the degree a none MI person can, just a thought . Regardless enjoy his company and I also got a nap into also such a rare Occurrence lol
