All of it sounds just so amazing, the different flavors and textures. You put so much time and effort into it

My boss basically texted me this morning asking me to call in sick today. I'm still dealing with this bronchitis crap - and I went to work yesterday and couldn't walk 10 feet without becoming short of breath. My co-workers were concerned that they would have to call a medical emergency cold and admit me to the ER. Tomorrow's probably not looking so good either but I can't really afford to miss this much work. Ugh. The prednisone doesn't seem to be touching it although who knows how bad I'd be without it.

Thanks everyone for the support I am just so stressed.

I am very blessed to have my husband and normally he is always supportive and loving

As for all things medical ??

Our childhoods were much different... his parents simply didn’t believe in going to the doctor, you get cold/bronchitis your body will take care of it. In junior high once my husband had been sick for over 8 months she finally took him to the doctor and was scolded pretty severe about allowing him to be sick for so long he had pneumonia!! He was in a horrible car accident at age 16, someone hit him and his buddies head on. No seatbelts back then, he was lucky but in a lot of pain, he Rome numerous facial bones and his back, his mom gave him a couple days of pain meds and flushed them.

For me .. I was born 3 months premature so I had crappy lungs I weight 2lbs 13 ounces , but dropped to barely 2 lbs. this was back in 1967 so it’s surprising I made it to be honest. I never got a “ cold” it was always bronchitis or pneumonia “ to go along with it I always had ear infections, despite being seen by doctors and given meds I would be sick for weeks and weeks, to be honest my ear drums have ruptured at least 25-30 times each over the years , most recently last year. I have 50% hearing loss in one ear and just over 30 in the others. I had at least 25 sorts of tubes put in . Last pair I was 43-44 years old.

My parents had no choice but at the first sign of anything I was in the car headed to the doctor.

So much husband with his small experience you go to see doctor X and they give you a Med and no tests the med just fixes things.

Well now a days you see a specialist they need testing to determine exactly what’s going on before they just toss a “ cure all” pill.

He got very lucky with his 3 boys , they got sick a couple times a year , there mother know a couple nurses and they would get antibiotics for them. A few random broken hands or arm leg etc they were all in sports.

Now my daughter ... she unfortunately although full term gets sick like me , constant chronic ear infections. She’s also never had a cold it’s always bronchitis etc.

Our GP is willing to treat my husbands neuropathy and emphysema... because he’s doing well on the meds but if he doesn’t respond to an antibiotic etc he will refer him out. But so far he’s been lucky.

After 6 weeks of my junky lungs and doing all the standard things , there was no way to avoid seeing a specialist. The liver issue also.

I do easily get my feelings hurt and I feel like a burden... so when he can’t understand why I need seen by a specialists and having testing I’ll often wind up crying.

We just had a talk about this like 6 or so weeks ago” just ignore me when I freak out figuring how to pay for doctor bills “ we also were dragged to court over a hospital bill of his from 4-5 days ago we could never pay.

But right now ??? I just don’t want to have to “ ignore” the next time this happens I will likely stop and say “ hey ! I know it’s hard to find ways to pay for my Doctors but how about you go stress out in the bathroom so I can sit here in my comfortable chair and cry instead of being on the bathroom floor.”

It seriously would be cheaper for me to just die

I think of you both often!
Lovely to read an update!
Much Love to You!
Yeah funny how that works!

Hubster is doing well. He’s seeing neurologist next month I think. Last MRI report mentioned new activity but that’s for them to discuss.

The racing mind seems to have calmed for now. I have Seroquel PRN for sleep as needed.

Sorry to hear you’re hurting though. Hope there’s a resolution for that soon.

Much love to you too!

I don’t know what to say right now to help you feel better but it’s not for lack of wanting to help in any way I can. I know you have lots of friends to talk to but I’m here if you ever need me. I humbly don’t think it would be cheaper for you to just die and it definitely would leave the world a sadder, worse off place. I hope things start looking up for you soon. I’m a little hurt/annoyed/sad/ annoyed with my husband.

It revolves around multiple medical problems and testing I’m having done.

I see my rheumatologist on the 14 th for our regular 6 week followup , which we have to decide what to do now that my pulmonary Doctor feels the Humira is what is causing me the problems. I have an appt on the 19th for a full Pulmonary functions test, both of those are appts 1.5 hours away. The 15th I have my liver ultrasound in my town, “well if your blood work shows fatty liver why do you need the US?? To compare to US done in Florida ,,

If your Pulmonary Doctor feels it’s Humira why do the pft? Unmmm because I need a baseline and I’ll likely need extra meds to help my ability to breath while the Humira leaves my system ?

This just infuriated me, god knows we are so strapped money wise but my liver and breathing are not something I can just ignore.

He’s told me before when he gets freaked out over my medical care and he has to find out how to pay for it I’m to just ignore him , well it’s really hard to ignore it !! 9/10 times I’m in the bathroom crying as quietly as I can.

Humira half life is 3-6 months !! I’m hoping my rheumatologist can assure me the SOB symptoms goes away quickly. * fingers crossed*

I’m done trying to explain to my husband that psoriatic arthritis (PsA ) is not just a normal aging process. It’s an auto immune disorder that is just going to keep destroying my joints and needs treatment to yes hopefully help with the pain but it’s more so about stopping further damage. The X-rays of my feet already show moderate to severe damage, id really like to continue to be able to walk for as long as I can. I’m only 52 for crying out loud..

I do not enjoy having to see doctors or having testing, but none of this can just be ignored. This amount of chronic shortness of breath can lead to irreversible damage to my lungs more than my asthma already does.

It’s just so damn upsetting !

I’m just going to go binge some ER and hopefully get my mind off this shyt!

Hope everyone has a good Sunday

Hugs and cookies~
Can understand about the acid reflux. I don’t even bother laying down, just sit straight up and try to sleep that way. Yeah right. One of the hardest parts is that my nighttime meds can cause it too.

Sorry your husband is giving you grief for the testing.

I do hope you have some resolution soon, and breathe easier.

A warm hello to all,

It's been a rough weekend, painwise. The weather can be a major factor for the amount of pain... and it was.
I'd also injured myself trying to do too much.
I am going to have to hire someone to help with the chores I just cannot do on my own.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week, starting with some deep restorative sleep!

Much Love!

Hi bizi!

I have tried mmj! I'd tried it for 6 months, trying to find the most helpful strain, mix, etc. I have not found it helpful, unfortunately. I am on very strong pain meds 24/7. It's just not enough on the past few days. I strongly hesitate to request an increase in opioids, as it has been my hope to get off of them.

Thanks for being a friend!

My dad's family was like your husband's family Christina. My dad's mother was sick and my mum told them to get her to the doctor. But she refused to go and she died. I never knew her. But still all my life my parents argued over going to the doctor. My mum dragged dad to the doctor but he wouldn't admit anything was wrong. He developed vision problems and kept quiet about it for months, and he was a truck driver! Finally he admitted he couldn't see well and went to the doctor but it was too late, he was legally blind. I trend that way too even tho I know better. Drives mum mad that I haven't been to the doctor already.

Oh no ! I’m so sorry that your so I’ll sick.. time u know I have been dealing with non stop Asthma flare. Do you have and use a nebulizer !? That typically is what normally pulls me out of a bad flare. Mine is about 6 years old. Have saved me many many Er trips. They are covered under medical insurance but I actually just saw a bunch of Amazon for 30 and up. Lots cheaper than Er visit.

I hope you get to feeling better really really soon call your Doctor first thing in the am !

Much Love!

Oh dear the weather

Please stop over doing things , I know that’s easier said than done.

Have you gotten more humidifiers yet?? All that dry heat is going to be hell on your asthma you mom needs to order a heated onesies for winter LOL !!

Yes having to pay someone to do things is going to just suck.. I do picture this happening in my situation too eventually

They are covered under medical insurance but I actually just saw a bunch of Amazon for 30 and up. Lots cheaper than Er visit.

I hope you get to feeling better really really soon call your Doctor first thing in the am !
Thanks - I do have a nebulizer that's about 4 years old and i agree that they are great. I am going to call the doc tomorrow but probably can't see her until Tuesday because Husband is taking my car (we are getting snow so he drives my car when it snows).

I have junky lungs too - and this is awful. They are already marking me absent for work tomorrow (boss called to check on me). It doesn't help that husband isn't the empathetic type. He went to bed and asked me to try not to cough because it bothers him. Poor baby

It’s a tough situation for everyone. I know there are some people who truly enjoy seeing Doctors..

Please do go see your Doctor, catch things sooner rather than later

I have an appointment Wednesday. Pretty sure he's going to tell me I have GERD. Don't know what the treatment will be since anti acids do nothing and the OTC meds got pulled. But probably another med to add to my list......and a lecture too I just need to call tomorrow and find out if it's 11:15 or 1:15

I hope the med that's causing your flare to last so long clears up a lot sooner that the half life of the med.

So many people here are having lung problems, that really sucks.

Give your husband some ear plugs!
my hubby and I both wear them. I snore and he breaths heavy.
It works for us.

I’m so glad you have one!! Do you have just straight albuteral to use or Deoneb? Deoneb works much better to open up your lungs and lasts much longer. Ask your Doctor everyone I’ve every asked for it has never had a problem.

It bothers him ? Oh boy I think someone would be getting lukewarm meals for a while.
