Usually sleep is not an issue for me, but it's been off these past five days. The number of hours has been less an issue than the quality and schedule, but last night and tonight are exceptions. I fell asleep at about 1 am this morning, and am now awake at 4 am. My alarm is set for 5:15 am. We want to go to the grocery store when they just open at 6 am.

I guess anxiety is a growing factor. My heart feels like it is racing. I just took an Ativan. I don't know if mood elevation still is. I have still been quite energetic, but otherwise feel normal mood-wise.

I’m had problems sleeping tonight and the night before. I had just put a deposit on a puppy last night and woke up today at 1:00 and was ruminating on COVID.

Well as I expected virtually no sleep last night, I'd doze off for a few in a very light sleep then wake up stare at the wall, Counted to 500, go to the bathroom, flip flop in bed. watched my husband snore alot, finally got up after I laid there for 5-6 hour.

I feel tonight will be the same, But my favorite Author released the next book in the series so I would probably stay awake reading all night anyway

Oh no, a favorite author and a series release! That always spells insomnia to me, but it's not cause I can't put the book down. I do understand tho

What kind of books do you like to read? The book club I joined last fall has me reading different kinds of books that I would never read on my own - it's been very good for me. We met via Zoom this week

I found this Author.. Randolph LaLonde when I was roaming Amazon for free books.. Ive like sci fi movies ( some) but I was never into the books.. Anyway I got his first, because it was free HA ! Omg I was freaking hooked

"Spinward Fringe is the first book.. its set in the future, earth was dying and people had to future out to find new worlds. His characters are so amazing and complex, There are AI's .There are different races, Some like humans others not so much, There are battles against evil.. I literally feel like these characters are friends and I serious need a battleship. There are now 14 books. Ive read the series more times than I can count.

I have gotten numerous people hooked and we total geek out talking about it LOL

Anyway if anyone has a kindle its on Amazon.. its also on most any platform for Ereader books .

Okay Ill stop rambling.. but its an amazing series

What type do you like?

Now I’m at 3 days of little sleep. I’m up at 2:30 and have been up for an hour. I need to find my sleeping pills. I don’t want to become hypomanic.

Edit: It’s 3:30 now and I’m trying again to sleep.

Thanks - I'll look into it. I normally read mystery or suspense novels but have started reading historical fiction novels and some novels on the more spiritual/religious side (book club is through Church).

I slept about 4 hours tonight - not terrible but not great either. I do have to work tonight.

Last night was pretty strange for me, in terms of sleep. I don't think it helped that yesterday reached 80 degrees F! Yesterday I was busy busy with all kinds of projects until I finally tired out and my back hurt. I took a much needed shower then hubby rubbed my back with arnica.

I fell asleep at 5 pm. Yes, 5 pm! Then I woke up at 8 pm and couldn't sleep for a while. I think I managed a bit at 11 pm, then I woke up again at 3 am with my heart racing, which hubby confirmed. I had to take Ativan. I was awake again until maybe 7 am, then dozed off and woke up at 8:30 am. I'll be staying up now.

Last night was horrible. It was 7:30-8 when I could finally settle down. Then my dreams were filled with Amish households with the president knocking things down left and right. He was just destructive. I'm so tired today that I look very goth, eyes dark and skin very pale.

Awake because the guy/girl upstairs is stomping around.

Unfortunately, this is how they normally walk. They just stomp everywhere. But the stomps cause the pipes in my bathroom to make loud cracking sounds, and I hear stuff in my apartment vibrating with each stomp.

I don't wanna complain because it seems like the person can't help it. They have been doing this for months, and I think the stomping would get tiring after a while if they were doing it intentionally, so I do think it is unintentional.

There is some silver lining to being deaf! . Noises don't bother me, if it bothers me then the person or person ARE being loud. I lived for almost 10 years in the second story of a three story apartment building. I thought it rather quiet of course I often took my hearing aids out. Once there was a downstairs neighbor who blasted their stero with bass kicked high then the vibration was terrible. But I didn't need to complain cause everyone else did. They were gone shortly.

My son is deaf and he can't hear anything without his hearing aids except vibrations as well - it is definitely the silver lining at night.

We don't have any problems at our apartment. We have great neighbors. In fact, I think we are the noisy ones since we have two parrots that sometimes squawk for a while (never at night - they are covered at night). All that our neighbor said when I saw her and apologized shortly after she moved in was "so that's what that noise is - I've been racking my brains trying to figure it out".
