Eew, pain really robs a person of the ability to get deep quality sleep. My heart goes out to both of you.

In other news. I have a fragment of last nights dream. It was a western setting. Dirt roads with deep wheel trails in em. Horses kept twisting their ankles and people had to lead the horses. There was a little girl, about 4-5 who had an educational coloring book. It was more about morals than proper reading, writing and rithmatic. But other kids especially her brother kept stealing her colored pencils. I was going around taking extras to give her. You know if a kid had more than two red I'd take a red. Everybody kept their pencils in a little metal bucket. Her particular favorite was yellow. She liked coloring the sky yellow. There was a devious villain priest too he encouraged the other kids to steal her colors cause he was jealous of her native and innocent faith for he had lost his.

Mum gave my coloring stuff away. I liked the gel pens but preferred the oil pencils cause I could blend the colors together

I slept like crap last night and got maybe 4 hours, if that. I have been up since 3:30am and I can't sleep. I think it's med withdrawal.

I have to leave bright 'n early for the city tomorrow, so I hope I am not too tired.

I hope everyone else gets some decent shut eye, even if it's only a few hours tops.

Blue I hope you get some rest and relaxation, stopping meds can cause major upheaval. I hope your symptoms calm down

Does anybody sleep better during daylight? I have mediocre sleep during the night, but when the morning light is bright I sleep hard.

Hi, @BethRags, I've been sleeping in the daytime lately. For most of my life I could never do that, even when I tried when I was so tired. But I think my body decided recently that my insomnia has become too big of a problem, & it's forcing me to fall asleep during the daytime. I wake up & realize I have slept for one or two hours or more. And I dream during these forced naps, & I feel better. This happens when I'm sitting comfortably at home, not like with narcolepsy. Does this fit with what you're talking about?

Yes, pretty much. When I was younger I never could sleep during the day, either, no matter how tired I was. Now I sleep best in the morning light. I think you are onto something - the reverse sleeping is probably because our bodies are fatigued from insomnia or poor sleep during the night.

I've never been able to sleep during the day. I huge problem for me when I had graveyard shifts. Really fed into my bipolar unstablized condition when I was younger. During the winter I was really confused by time, was it 6 am or 6 pm as it was dark either way.

Now I go to bed around midnight but often don't fall asleep until after 5 am. So I do sleep in the early morning but my bedroom is bark.

I slept 15-16 hours last night, was absolutely Med induced .. yesterday was just a shyt day all the way around.

I don’t think sleep will happen tonight since I have only been up a short amount of time.

Wow, 15-16 hours that was some knock out! I hope it helped.

Not enough recall for a dream report.

I've been sleeping fairly well since switching to Vraylar. My only issue is that it isn't a deep sleep but I'll take whatever I can get.

I return to work tomorrow from my Leave of Absence so I'll either be up and raring to go from an adrenaline surge or totally exhausted - there is no in-between for me

Glad you got some sleep! I'm sure it's far more than you wanted, but like Nammu said, I hope it helped.

---

I got like 6 hours last night and like 2-3 the night before. Not quite insomnia, but still sucky because I normally get 10 a night. I'm not manic, though. God no.

I fell asleep just before dawn, then somehow the sun found it's blazing way into my room. It came though mum's door into my room! Woke me from a weird dream. All I can remember is that there was a group of us pitted against another group. We snuck our way to a side of a mountain where there was a steel door that we needed to open. Then we were in a hospital having been poisoned. Most of the group had been treated and released but I was unconscious and in bed. The room next door had a person from my group who was looking out for me and making sure I was ok. Then I regained consciousness and the police locked down the hospital. There were glasses in my room that the group had drunk from and I needed to get rid of them, so I put them in a pillowcase and put on a doctor's white coat and walked down the hallway looking for a trash disposal. Then I relized that I had walked right out of the lock down and I was free.

Weird!

I dreamt that someone said my hair was permed and I was pissed. Told the person I just have super curly hair, but she didn't believe me.

I've been doing much better with sleep since starting Vraylar. However, I have a new sleep pattern where I take my meds, then about 90 minutes later I feel incredibly sleepy and I sleep soundly for about 4 hours. Then I wake up and am up for about 2 hours (such as now) and then sleep lightly for another 4 hours or so.

I am grateful for the sleep I get but wish I could sleep through the night.
