Today it's rainy in my area, after some gorgeous days. I realized that I had no clue what to do with myself this morning, which is rare. I cleaned the kitchen and am making deviled eggs. Hmm. What else to do? I think of things, but veto the ideas. I feel what my Czech husband calls "fnuk", if anyone can figure out what that is. There's no good equivalent in English.

I don't know what fnuk means, but I googled it and... thank GOD I did not click the link to view images on google. It was a bunch of porn sites in Czech and Russian!

My guess is that "fnuk" means "f_ck that," based on the google search results I'm getting since f_ck has many different meanings...

That last probably only means something to one other person here but it's got to be included. I also threw together stat cards for a game I'm creating with my son who is studying fine arts/graphic design. And to start the day I went for a 5 mile run. I'm sure it's not as cold as some parts, but it was quite cold here for late March.

Its 45 here and raining. Kind of a blah day for my birthday. But hey! I've had them where there's been a foot of snow so I'll take it.

I went out to Starbucks- the only one open and that's just the drive thru. There was a long line all the way around the building! But I stayed in and got my venti mocha with an extra shot free for my birthday.

My mom is cooking something with butter for my birthday but she wouldn't say what or how she'd get it to me. She also opened her birthday present this morning (yesterday was her birthday) and thoroughly enjoyed them! They are books with little-known/unknown facts about Disney parks.

N3 said something about ordering dinner tonight.

Other than that, I think I'll just do laundry, take a shower, clean the kitchen, change my sheets... Oh joy! All the stuff a 48-year-old should be doing!

Oh my! I don't know why that would happen. I never got the impression from my husband that it was a bad word. Children say it. It's sort of like the English "Drat!" if one must pick an English word.

I don't use a Czech keyboard, but the perfectly written word is fňuk, with a diacritical mark over the "n". I managed to find the verb in a Czech dictionary:
Fňukat in English, translation, Czech-English Dictionary

It references "sniveling", "whining", "whimpering". Nothing racy.

If pronounced correctly, "fňuk" sort of reflects the feeling in the same way words like "Ugh!" reflect the feeling. Fňuk does not rhyme with the English word you're thinking of.

Yeah, I can imagine Starbucks had a long line. Dunkin Donuts around here was the same thing when I drove past it 2 weeks ago. They were one of the few places that wasn't shutdown.

Hopefully you enjoy your dinner! Sounds nice that your mom is surprising you.

I think restaurants here are now closed...? So we wouldn't even be able to order out. I suppose you could take advantage of ordering out if you know restaurants are going to be shutdown soon.

Ahh,yes, the never-ending search for sleep. I have heard of this. Sorry you are in that mode. Maybe a nap later,,,

I know nothing about fibro, but I really feel for you. How you (and others here) manage severe physical pain along with all this bp stuff is just beyond me. So much admiration for you. I hope you can find some relief this weekend, but I fear not, given your weather situation. I can forecast the weather changes jut from an old wrist fracture and that's nothing compared to what you've got going on.

The severe weather of the South and Tornado Alley is by far the scariest natural phenomenon I have ever experienced. I was present for and personally experienced Mt. St. Helens erupting and that was a walk in the park compared to the two tornadoes I've been through. Beyond terrifying.

I really hope the weather isn't too bad this weekend and I do hope you feel better soon!!

I have to go to the store today to pick up a few essentials, it's right down the street though so a quick walk there and back, quickly in and out. The weather is nice and warm/sunny so that helps.

Gotta clean my apartment today. Going to spend a few hours doing that then work on some art. Right now I'm studying anatomy to improve my figure drawings. Got a long way to go but plenty of time to practice.

Learned Happy Birthday and Twinkle Twinkle on my ukulele, gonna keep practicing those till they're totally committed to memory.

My sister called yesterday, was nice to talk. She and my family are doing well so I'm glad about that.

Thankful there's a nice area outside the apartments with benches, and some tables, etc places to sit so I can get some sun
I actually find cleaning therapeutic. But my art ability stops with stick figures.

Now that you have a couple of tunes down, you need to start looking for that flight to Honolulu.. Just sayin'.

Well, had to go to Safeway last night to get a few little things. Needed walnuts--supposed to be good for me--but all the bulk stuff is closed down. Makes sense. So, no other walnuts. Tragically, as I was about to go find coffee, my eyes fell to the macadamia nuts. I once went through the Mauna Loa factory on the Big Island with my dad. Super fun. They are beyond decadent. I should really just move there, that is where I would actually like most to live.

But I digress. Could not resist the macadamia situation. 8 bucks for a little bag. Completely ridiculous and unjustifiable purchase. Man, they are good.

Wet here all weekend. Need to get out on the bike and tamp these voices down a bit. Guess I am gonna get wet...

Hugs and love to all!!

I've got the sheets in the washer, clothes in the dryer, I've vacuumed the downstairs and the stairs, did the dishes, swept and mopped the kitchen... I think I need that shower now! I'm just listening to music. And maybe I should have something to eat!

My shower was so refreshing! I'm all dressed in clean clothes with wet hair pulled back and socks on my feet, jeans, a tshirt and a sweatshirt. Music still playing.

Absolutely, positively NOT! Yesterday I binged on "energy balls". It was bad! But if I could make cookies and immediately send them all to you via Star Trek transporter, I would, my friend.
