My friend has a fever of 101.5. She was told to call if the fever is 103.1 or higher and to stay home! I hope its 'just' the flu.

N3 got into the car 10 minutes ago with an open bag of cheetos and an open 2liter of pop. Isaid, "Did you wipe that bag down before you opened it?' "What do you mean?" he says. yeah right. He knows exactly what I meant. I'm so mad at him!! And this stupid virus is making everybody crazy- including me!

bluebicycle- Our walmart only has 1 pick up time available but I will keep trying with them. We have just it's a lot of the same stuff. I think we've had eggs or pancakes the last two weeks for breakfast. I'm not a creative chef. I can deal with it but my boys are getting cranky.

Do you have a smartphone? I remember something similar I had to do, and they (the entity, it wasn't food stamps) just had me take a picture of it and email it. You said you need to upload it, which you can easily do with a pic too. Is that something that might work for you?

It's another beautiful day here. Makes iso so much more bearable when the days are beautiful. I tossed and turned all night, it was after 7 when I fell asleep for a few hours. But the day makes it better.

Extremely bizarro world that it is 0929 and nobody has yet posted on this thread today, at least not as it is showing for me. Weird. Find that rather difficult to believe.

Anyhoo, gonna go ahead and do my post anyways.

So, got some sleep last night, which is great. weirdo neighbors were quiet for once, even though they are apparently aliens who require no sleep ever, ever, ever. Still, woke up super tired and fried, Felt almost exactly like I used to after being up all night running the Trauma Service in Nashville. Just wasted. Guess I am still tired.

So far today, not really too symptomatic. Grateful for that. Ginger carrot soup (one of my favorites) for brekkie. Why not!! Sunny, so may be able to get out and exercise, which will probably help. Plan to finish first draft of the book, so that's good.

So far today, so good. Pdoc coming up in a few weeks and we have to make some decisions. Do I really want to keep going on this Atypical Antipsychotic carousel? There are still maybe two I haven't ever tried. Or should we just bite the bullet and do the Clozaril? I am inclined toward the latter. Dealing with this psychotic stuff is just wearing me out. It's exhausting, trying to keep up with it all. So, we will see.

Sending love and hugs to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anxious. Worried about my safety.

I want to tell my boss so that I can be given some flexibility, but I know he wouldn't understand or believe me.

I might try to take a nap because I just want this anxiety to go away. Maybe I will pop a klonopin or two.

Hi bpcyclist. I only see posts from innerzone and Nammu today, just before yours. Then as of this moment, I see bluebicycle's post after yours. Definitely fewer than usual. The ones before were late night yesterday and before.

Though I do love meat-based soups, I am crazy for vegetable soups. Your carrot ginger soup sounds wonderful! I'm sure I'd love it, though I have never eaten soup for breakfast.

I'm glad you got some sleep, but sorry you woke up tired. Do you think the manic swing is winding down? I hope you find the right medication mix to finally give you relief.

he is in the pacific time zone, so technically speaking, innerzone's post was "yesterday" for him. then sometime when he was in the process of writing his post, nammu posted. I guess nammu is just a stealthy ninja.

Another rainy day here. But after this we should have sun for days and days.. Not that I am in a rush for miserably hot summer but we have had rain since November and now spring is our normal rainy season *sigh*

The bottom of my drive way is washed out and looking like a lake. I have to head into town tomorrow as I have a phone T session because I do not get cell service here, Im gonna have to plow through that damn lake LOL

I have not yet checked to see if my Gov got his head out of his backside and make the right choice for my state.. I only watch the news a couple times a day, Anymore and its overwhelming.

Germ free Hugs and calorie free cookies to everyone

Everyday at 2pm the state governor comes on with a handful of experts and jabbers for an hour. It's on tv but it's by phone. They just show a still picture of the person talking. Fortunately one channel captions the talk. Not that I pay a lot of attention. Gets real boring. I've long stopped watching the WH briefings as that's just a lot of hot air and lies. Increases my anxiety 10 fold. But I do try to follow the governor as he is truthful and matter of fact, but boring. They do repeat a lot.

my parents and uncle think that dr. fauci and all other health officials are lying about coronavirus. they think it's no big deal, that people are fear mongering, so they're going out every single day (literally) and exposing themselves to the virus. they believe what trump is saying.

I got an app called CamScanner. It allows you to take a photo of your document and then it fixes it up for you so its easier to read, etc. Then I emailed it to myself then downloaded it then signed into the DHHS website and uploaded it. Voila!

yeah

we have a giant group chat with my aunt, uncle, dad, mom, sister, cousins, etc.. well, my cousin sent us a video explaining the dangers of coronavirus. I thanked him for the video, and I sent a video of dr. mike on YouTube. (if you haven't heard of him, he's a real doctor in NY and has a huge YouTube channel, and he often goes on TV stations like CNN, MSNBC, etc. to do interviews.) the video was dr. mike interviewing dr. fauci (which is a great video btw, if you haven't seen it). that's when my dad and uncle said that fauci was a "fear mongering liar" and other crap. my aunt agreed with me that we should listen because our president downplays everything. but then my dad and uncle were like, "trump is fine. he's doing the right thing for our nation. we need to open things back up."

Thank you, BirdDancer. Yes, my mother was an elite soup maker and one of her absolute best was a carrot ginger. I made her recipe once, years ago, and it was fantastic. Just a little bite from the ginger, a little spicy (white pepper? Canrt remember).

Yes, I do think my mania has calmed, but clearly, still dealing with this other (psychotic) business. The fact that this quiet thread set me off this morning says a lot about my state of mind...

I had to work today, but I only worked until noontime. I couldn't concentrate past that. I was too anxious. (So I tried to work, but failed...)

my therapist always tells me not to give reasons for why I can't work. she says to just leave it as "not feeling well" or "feeling sick," whichever I feel is most appropriate to describe the situation. but I didn't even want to deal with that today, so I just pretended I was working and then, yeah...

Sorry you were so anxious that you couldn't work. At least you don't have to provide a doctor's note when you're not feeling well. If N3 calls off, they want him to come back with a note from his doctor.

Yeah, I make a salary, but I know when I had hourly wages, I would have to provide a doctor's note.

My work is lax in the sense that they don't care when or where you do your work as long as you get it done on time.

I sometimes will say I am "sick" or "not feeling well," but I do not want to do that all the time, so I just stop working and fall behind, I guess. Then I try to make up the time.

I was technically working after noontime, but it was very, VERY difficult to the point I might as well say I wasn't working at all

What have you planned to do this evening for yourself? Probably like everyone else, I'm starting to get bored of this stay-home stuff. Its just that there aren't many things to do here at home. Of course, for that matter, everything is closed out in the world so yeah nothing to do anywhere. I've been listening to different CDs that I haven't heard in ages. I even ordered a new CD from Amazon today. It will come on Sunday. (Anybody know how to sterilize cardboard??) A couple days ago, I did a general cleaning. I have some fruit I need to wash. I've also been watching Will & Grace at bedtime.

I haven't planned anything, other than doing some coloring and trying not to freak out. I'm trying to ignore my phone because my dad and uncle are saying stupid political stuff with respect to coronavirus, and it sickens me. I don't want to call anyone and have to listen to them talk about how certain people are "saving the world" by wanting to "reopen America."

btw, you don't need to worry about sterilizing cardboard. You can use a sanitizing wipe if you really want, but coronavirus only lasts 24 hours on a cardboard surface. if it leaves the factory now, then even if someone with coronavirus was touching your package, it will have died off by now. even if the delivery guy has coronavirus, you can just use gloves to drag the box into your apartment and wait 24 hours. plastic gloves or even winter gloves will do.

since coronavirus lasts longer on plastic (2-3 days), you can open the package right away, after you've let it sit in your apartment from 24 hours after delivery. after all, if they pack the package today, then Sunday is 5 days away... so it will be dead by then.

More info here: New coronavirus stable for hours on surfaces | National Institutes of Health (NIH)

I'm just worried about getting infected in my apartment though... I think I am at risk.

I think the CD will come in a plastic bubble package. Should I wait 24 hours to open it or will it be dead by Sunday? I'm confused.

So basically, let's assume that someone with coronavirus packed your item. So they got their coronavirus germs on your CD jewel case and then they got their coronavirus germs on the box after they taped it up. If they ship the package today, then in 24 hrs, the coronavirus on the cardboard will have died off, which means the outside of the box will be safe to touch. However, the inside of the package will remain infected. Thus, you have to wait 2-3 days *from the time it was packaged* until you touch it. So if they ship the package *today*, then the coronavirus will die off on the cardboard by Wednesday evening, but it will remain inside on the plastic until Friday. However, since you are getting your package on Sunday, the coronavirus will have worn off two days before you even got it.

So my recommendation is to look at the tracking info to see when it *actually* ships. Do not open it until 3 days after that date. But also, do not touch the box right away after it's been delivered because if the UPS or FedEx guy has coronavirus, the cardboard will become reinfected with FedEx/UPS corona germs. So, pick up the package with gloves and bring it into your house, but do not touch the outside with your hands until 24 hrs has passed.
