I’m also looking to plant my own “victory garden” of sorts. I have been watching YouTube videos on how to regrow romaine lettuce from the bottom stem. Doesn’t look too hard. I can order pots from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Problem is I’m having a hard time finding seeds for other things. Home Depot has them but is not shipping them. I’ll figure it out though.

72 degrees here yesterday. 101 miles on the bike. Lovely. First short sleeves of the year here. I remember when I lived in Nashville, it would be getting close to summer weather by now. So different down there. It snowed here 6 days ago!!!
I eat too many cookies, what can I say? Once I got back into town at the end of my big ride yesterday, I had maybe six miles along the river. Absolutely no social distancing in this supposedly educated, supposedly progressive, supposedly forward-thinking city. Tons and tons of people, hundreds, right up in each others' grills. What a joke!! People holding hands and taking pictures. I get it, it was just beautiful out. But you would think there was no COVID at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! With that kind of monon-ness, this thing will just march right back into town in no time!! Ugh!! Hugs and love to all!!!!

Moms test came back negative! But they still won't let her see a doctor. They will call and talk to her on the phone. What if she has strep throat? How will they diganois that over the telephone? This is rediculous.

I suggest you maybe take a look at parkseed.com __________________________________________________ CSA: Community Supported Agriculture For people unable or uninterested in gardening, yet would like garden fresh veggies (often organic), CSA membership may be an option. I am a charter member of the first CSA in my state. I used to have my own organic garden. Once I had learned about the CSA option, I had decided to try this option. I'd figured out the membership costs me less than having my own garden. I'd also figured out the price per pound of organic veggies was much less than charged in local stores. Many of these CSA farms also offer memberships to people in need at a discounted price or for free. Even if you feel you cannot afford the membership fee, do check with the CSA farm, as they often offer scholarships. Ask early as most of these slots are filled soon. A partial directory of CSA farms is linked below. Do look around in your community, as not all of the farms are listed in this resource. The CSA Directory lists farm or network/association of multiple farms that offer consumers regular (usually weekly) deliveries of locally-grown farm products during one or more harvest season(s) on a subscription or membership basis. Customers have access to a selected share or range of farm products offered by a single farm or group of farmers based on partial or total advance payment of a subscription or membership fee. Feeling thankful. My apartment complex gave everyone care packages today. they set it up where you go through the room and take one of everything, plus 2 rolls of paper towels and 4 rolls of toilet paper. They gave out a full thing of laundry soap, a bar of soap, and lots of food/snacks plus an activity packet.
![]() I'm doing well today, plan on baking some brownies. Woke up around 10 which is super late for me. I was just really tired for some reason. Reading comics the show Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is based off of. Really enjoying them. Got a lot of cleaning to do and I'm slacking lol ![]()

My Emsam patient assistance was finally approved! It only took 2.5 months. They mailed it to my pdoc on Tuesday so hopefully I'll have it in 2 weeks or a little less giving extra time for mailing from my pdoc's office while they are out on stay-at-home orders.
I'm so relieved. No need for IP, no new med and I get to go back to taking Emsam every day instead of every 3. That makes me very tired as it is my stimulant med while on so much sedation. All I want to do is sleep and not depressed sleep, just exhausted sleep. I even fall asleep at night earlier than usual although I do wake up in the night because of that. Anyway, it's resolved and I know the date that it must be done by next year and it will be done then no matter what the drug company says. Sheesh!

After lots of phone calls they sent mum to a respiratory clinic. We had to drive up to a door, wait in the car, then they came and verified who mum was, then said to wait 5 minutes then go up to the door. I had to stay in the car. Once in it was mostly like a regular check up except mum had to answer a lot of questions on a phone. Turns out she has a sinus infection that's causing post basil drip and bothering her throat. I'll pick her medicine up tomorrow morning. Whew what a lot to go though to get a doctor appointment! But alls well.

@Nammu: Obviously having a sinus infection sucks, but it's great to hear it's not something worse!
I'm so glad that you managed to get the doctors to help. It must've been frustrating dealing with all those phone calls. I don't know why things are so difficult these days. I mean, your mom tested negative for COVID-19... Sheesh. Hope she gets better soon. ![]() |

Yeah, I thought that was the whole point of the test, if she was negative then she could go. But they are practicing an abundance of caution. Oh well it's something to tell the grandkids!

The boost i got in my mood has either stalled or disappeared. It might be because the weather has turned bad again. We had snow today. It was very pretty tho. I enjoyed my balcony today, the wide-open view, the stunning sky. A balcony is really nice. I must make better use of it.
I had a phone appointment with my doctor. I told the joke about "better six feet apart than six feet under" and he laughed. He seemed eager to try new meds now that we've concluded the Lamictal is a dismal failure. But i've been on the meds-go-round for 30 years and have pretty much accepted that meds are only going to help and i'm still going to have mood swings. I feel this is as good as it gets so we agreed not to make any changes for now. I was really pleased about the appointment as it happened because i called in for a prescription renewal and my doctor asked for the appointment which i thought was really caring. But i told my neighbor about it and she said he was probably getting paid for it (Canada). What a nasty thing to say! Even if it's true, why say such a negative thing? She tends to rain on my parade. That's an awful aspect of human behavior, to want to ruin someone's joy. It's not the first time it's happened with her. I'm reluctant to confront her about it because i need her help with my dog. I haven't seen her in a couple days and i don't miss her. |

Well, I'm kind of anxious. Was woken up at 4am with pain under my ribs in the back. Took awhile to get back to sleep, then didn't wake up time till after 1 pm(!). At first it wasn't bothering me, then it started up again, but more in the side and front. I'm really hoping it's just some kind of muscle strain (I did a tiny bit of rearranging yesterday). It hurts quite badly.
![]() Meanwhile, I'm making a point of hydrating. BeyondtheRainbow, I'm SO glad your thing FINALLY went through successfully!!!!! And Daonnachd, that is SO cool to be working with that sculptor!! |

My brain feels like it’s gonna snap from stress. I’ve been extremely paranoid and anxious/scared most of the day. I’m terrified and don’t know what to do. I hope it gets better. It’s been on and off the past few days. I have klonopin to take prn but I don’t know if I should take one or not
