I had a pulmonology appointment this week and I got sorta reamed out for not using my CPAP machine - but it just feels uncomfortable so the doctor asked me to meet with the sleep educator about mask options. I agreed even though the sleep educator is kind of intimidating - LOL.

So I've been trying to wear the mask for at least half the night and that's working out pretty well. My sleep quality is terrible whether i use the machine or not.

Really? I thought they were supposed to help. I hope you find a better mask that really suits you.

0327 hours and not asleep, clearly. Wide awake. Crazy buzzing sounds all around me. Went for a quick walk a few minutes ago, as I was so amped up. Lovely out there. Not really the best time for a walk on the river, safety-wise, prolly. Oh well.

Might try to lay down again at 4 and see what happens. Hope everyone else is asleep.

I hope I do. I'm starting to cough and my energy is so down. For the last several nights I've been staring at the ceiling. This morning I got up then decided I was too tired to sit and went back to bed at 9:30am. I used my eye mask to block the light but still didn't get decent rest. Tried to imagine a dream but only came up with the summer cabin I grew up going to. It was nice imagining I was back there but it was no dream and no sleep.

I dunno I just drank a huge bottle of Gatorade with a laxative mixed in and took two tablets of another kind at 6 tonight. The latuda needs 350 calories to work and I'm on a clear diet today. Gotta get up at 6 am to drink the other bottle as its a split dose. So I'm not at all sure how things are gonna go. But I'm tired.

Oh Christina I hope you get some relief from worry and physical stuff soon.

Cyclist I'm glad you got a great nap in, any dreams?

OH, too bad I love dreams. It's like being in a 5 sense surround all movie.

Well can't sleep, without the cheese I use to take the place of a meal the latuda doesn't kick in. No idea why the ambien didn't kick in but little changes make it hard to sleep.

I stayed up all night because I just couldn't sleep--due to pain and all sorts of thoughts that wouldn't settle down. It's now 7:39 in the a.m.

I take Trazodone to help me sleep, but it doesn't work. I've tried another drug, too, and it did diddly.

My pdoc said I could also try music and relaxation CDs. I will try one later today. I did sleep well last night--but I wasn't struggling with pain. I get pain sometimes despite taking an opoid, Tylenol, and aspirin. Oh, well.

Yeah pain is a factor. Because of the tests I've had to give up my aspirin and Aleve.

I woke up at 11:15. I got about 3 hours of sleep. I drank Mountain Dew because I just don’t really want to sleep I guess. But I took some melatonin just in case I change my mind. So far the melatonin isn’t doing anything. I ate a $7 potato chip chocolate bar in one sitting right before bed that I don’t think is really agreeing with me physically or anxiety wise so I’m wondering if that’s why I’m having trouble with sleep.

Sleeping like a champion right now, better than in more than a year. Weird.

Last night I was exhausted and slept well but no dreams that I remember. My alarm went off at 6 no idea why, I thought I shut it off but it came on 3 more times. I finally put my glasses on and looked at the tiny writing to determine how to shut it off. Got a couple more hours in.

Was yawning and lay down and then, now, totally wide awake again at about 11 or so. We shall see...
