Completed first night without Seroquel. Maybe slept 2 hours after taking a bubble bath with infused Melatonin, 3mg of Melatonin, and 6oom mg of Trileptal. Threw up a half hour after taking the Trileptal, so I may not have received the extra drowsiness I desired.

Feeling hopeless and isolated because I'm worried about this week. If I only slept two hours last night, what in the hell am I going to do for the next seven days?

I'm sorry you got such little sleep , what your doing is what I call blow back, half life of meds play a big roll in how you will do when you stop a med.

Is it possible for you to go back on it and go every other day then after a couple weeks go to every 3rd night?

Lack of sleep is never a good thing for someone with Bipolar..

Hope tonight you will sleep much better

Thank you for your support. I would prefer not to return to the drug. Diabetes runs in my family and I'd like not to have this drug in my system much longer (I learned late about the Diabetes thing)>

I'm returning to my old pdoc to see what I can do if the Melatonin doesn't return. I'd prefer not to do antipsychotics again. They just don't work on me. Maybe another mood stabilizer to go with the Tripleptal I'm on.

Wide awake right before 10 tonight. Weird. I fell asleep right before 8 it’s not like I went to bed at 4 or 5 or anything like I sometimes do. And I slept horribly last night as well. I had caffeine today but I stopped before noon.

I have to drive Wednesday , Have phone appt with my T... So I need to skip Tuesday afternoon , Dinner and morning dose.

I get virtually no cell service here so I drive into town. Sucks but it is what it is.

Seroquel Stupor ! I will not take this med long term.. But I still have some rage boiling so I will take it until I am back to baseline ..

All I do is sleep or yawn..

Hope everyone is getting sleep

2 failed hrs trying, but sweet little Albert keeps coming to my face snd making me pet him. He missed me, I guess. So, feeding him tortilla chips and kissing him. He is calmer.

Moose--hugs. See my checkin post

La La, why did you tjrow up? Does Trileptal normally make you sleep? Maybe think of short-term Restoril or Thorazine. Usually work. Ambien and Lunesta also okay, but Ambien can have wack side effects like sleep-driving (me, for real--wife found me, scary).

I don't know if the vomiting was withdrawal related or just a bad swallow. I'm open to trying anything at this point. I'm afraid of the night and the whole process of trying to sleep. If I don't do something, I'll end up at the ER.

The Trileptal usually makes me drowsy and I think worked with the Seroquel (Despite a bad interaction according to research) to let me sleep even with a few hours. I miss the combo, but I'm not going back to Seroquel.

Yet another hospital dream. There was a nice nurse but the parking was crazy. Many different parking spots and the guy who let me in the ramp maze made me park in the public lot. Someone crashed into my car. The nurse let me move it to a locked ramp where there was access to medical books, it was a doctors ramp. I was looking at the books for a diagnosis on my stomach but I didn’t know where to start. Then a doctor said I didn’t need to be in the hospital if I could read. Then they locked me on a floor where they did operations, they were going to take all my teeth and intestines out. That would cure my bipolar!

Woke up at 2:30am. Which I guess is not terrible since I fell asleep at 8:30pm. Keep waking up earlier and earlier. Not sure if it's because I just cut my gabapentin back or what.

It’s 3:29 AM CST and I’m awake. Because of my insomnia I always schedule all my medical appointments no earlier than 11 AM CST.

The only appointments I have that are early are the initial consultations. I have my consultation with my new
Endocrinologist next week and it’s early.

Hello! I read about the conditions you are dealing with, and the very last one caught my eye! I, too, have alopecia areata. It showed up first when I had just started eighth grade, so very many years ago. I lost nearly all of my hair that school year, and it was pretty humiliating for a 13 yr. old girl, you know what I mean? I started receiving injections in my scalp from this really old woman doctor, who was the only doc to give me hope. My hair grew back, thankfully. But now, after menopause, I've noticed it thinning again, although I have no bald spots. Just shedding hair like crazy!

If you don't mind me asking, how have you dealt with your alopecia?

3 hours between 7:30 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. (Does that count as sleep for the night)

2 hours broken between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

I'm trying to carry on but it's hard. Although I was prescribed Klonopin, I won't take it because of its highly addictive nature. I'm still taking Melatonin here and there. I want to start taking some lemon balm, but I don't know.

The Depakote prescribed for mania won't be getting attention from me either. After researching it, I'd rather not try it. My previous pdoc is an asshole for prescribing items I cannot use for the good long-run. I'm glad I'm leaving him for another doctor.

Hope is still there, but fading a bit.
