I have to see my kidney doctor in the start of November. So I have to go for bloodwork on Monday. I've been taking Advil and Aleeve like crazy for 6 months for various aches and pains that turned out to be food intolerances. Then I've been taking Advil liguid gels recently for my Covid symptoms. But I think I really effed up my kidneys. After the Advil I took this morning I got so lightheaded brushing my teeth I had to kneel on the floor so I wouldn't pass out. Then I almost passed out again half an hour later. My pulse is currently 93 and I'm just sitting in bed. I'm also still dealing with the congestion from covid and I have post nasal drip that feels like its just clogging up my throat and the congestion is making my face hurt. I mean I feel better overall then how I have been feeling, but I don't know what sort of damage I've done with all this Advil these last 6 months.

My sil tests came back, he has legionnaires disease. He’s only 39 so probably because he’s a smoker. Still it’s serious. He has to travel a lot for his business and he was in St. Louis when he got it.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve heard of it but don’t know the specifics. I’ll look it up.

@Mountaindewed I hope everything turns out okay with your kidneys. I also hope you start feeling better. I was on a medication that started doing damage to my kidneys. They took me off and the function has improved. I understood that you don’t get kidney function back once you lose it but apparently mine did.

From my understanding it’s treatable now. But yeah very scary. Now my daughter has to take my granddaughter in cause she has a dry cough. She’s worrying about rsv as my granddaughter is 5. So much going on! So much worry for her.

Good news! My fan came today. Looked a bit worrying to put together but it turned out to be easy. So tonight I’ll have a fan again! Yay 😁

Oh dear! I hope your granddaughter is okay.

Here in the south, fans are essential. I felt your pain when you were without it. I have a ceiling fan and a tower fan going at all times.

Oh, my gosh! I didn't know that Legionnaires Disease still existed in this country. But I guess it is a type of pneumonia? It certainly does sound serious.

I'm doing well - our temperatures are going down into the 70's now with a gorgeous breeze coming in from the ocean. What an immense relief. So fresh and pleasant. Now I can skate outside with all my protective gear on. In the warm weather all that gear is just too hot to wear.

I'm re-watching The Crown and enjoying it all over again. Season 5 will premiere on November 9th! I'm excited.

This morning I ordered a boba tea, lychee with egg pudding in it - and Doordash accidentally delivered 4 teas A bit much. I called them and went through all their hassling system. Finally, they said just keep the teas. I drank one and now have 3 more in my refrigerator Anybody want some boba tea?

I had mixed 3 hair colors and came out with a nice medium "spiced peach" tone. So I put it on my hair and it really was a pretty color for autumn. The problem was that after a few days I was tired of it. So...back to blonde. A lot of work! But I love playing with hair colors. It took some days and all sorts of tricks, but I finally have the creamy blonde back. Woohoo!

Well, I have a bunch of little picky chores to do before I skate. And take all my recyclables out to the bin. So, off I go.

I came across the desiderata when I was 9 in the reader’s digest and fell in love with it. Then a few years later I bought a poster sized parchment with the desiderata on it, I took it to college with me. I’ve tried hard to live it.

Can you post pics of your creamy blonde hair?

I’ve had an incredible day celebrating BIL’s birthday. My beloved nephew has gone. We still had a great time. We’ll see him at Christmas.

We’re about to head out to see our friends for some friendly hands of poker, some tasty food and good camaraderie.

I hope everyone has a pleasant evening. Much love

How dear! A friend gave the parchment poster to me when we were in high school. I pinned it to my bedroom wall and read it so much I nearly memorized it. I've always loved the part about "growing old gracefully." When I was 17 that was a far-away thought. Now it is quite relevant!
