Having a really rough day, and my boyfriend just told me to exercise.

Had to halve my Latuda because it's been causing me akathisia for years. My doctor missed it. I didn't know what was wrong. I feel like my world is coming undone. Nobody will listen to me. I feel so alone and hopeless.

I went to the gym today after a long session of writing. I got up at 4am and researched for about 3 hours and then wrote for another 3 hours.

The gym was good. I was able to get on all of the machines I wanted to and exercised my upper and lower body. Now I'm tired but in a good way. I'll try to stay up late to improve my chances of sleeping longer tonight.

@HALLIEBETH87, I'm glad your mawmaw's funeral went well. I'm sorry you didn't get the one extra time with her you wanted, before her passing. You're lucky you had such a lovable grandmother that you will always remember.

@~Christina, how nice that Amanda will soon visit. It must be a relief to be seeing her without you and Steve needing to make the hike south, this time. Perhaps your psoriasis flare will ease by the time she comes. Hopefully Steve's breathing issue will, too.

Yesterday we went to both Hornbach (like a Home Depot) and IKEA for some additional things for our house. We finally found a few curtains, another thing I've been eager for. We want to wash them before sending them for shortening. We still need rods for most.

My sister texted me about our brother's status. I could be a little wrong, but I'm thinking that a good deal of his pain and misery is from depression. Not just his cancer, itself. He truly needs to take an antidepressant and get a therapist. I've pushed him on this before, but he resists. Macho stigmatization of mental illness, I'm sure. I told Sis that depression can exacerbate pain and illness. She knows this. It's just about getting him to acknowledge it. Also, Sis and I both want him to finally finalize a will. He's fighting cancer, for goodness sake, plus he has an estranged wife that lives across the country that is hanging out there. He's been married to her for at least 20 years, but hasn't lived near her for over 17. I met her only once. My sister, who is handling most everything for him, has never met the woman. To put it mildly, we don't have a positive view of her. If our brother loses his battle, it would unfair for my sister to have to deal with her much. She wouldn't be doing much beyond putting her palm out.

Thanks !!!

I’m sorry your Brother is against getting some professional support. I will pray he reaches out. The estranged wife sounds like she will be a huge pain in the azzz. Maybe he will change his mind and get a will in the works.

Tapa talk is acting stupid or it’s my ridiculous internet. Likely a combo of both.

So hugs all the way around. I’ll try to get back here later.

Ohhh, I thought of you and Sir this afternoon and wondered how his appointment had gone. Poor dear Sir. I hope it's only age causing his blindness. When I was a little girl one of my mother's elderly cats was blind. Back in those days cats seemed to be outdoors, mostly, and my mom's two cats lived outside under the kitchen window, even the blind one. And they lived to be 20 and 21 years old!

Gentle scritches for Sir and a hug for you.

Oh, my gosh, it was such a lovely day and evening. Sunshiny. And I had planned to go to the St. Patrick's Day street fest, but I got so sleepy this afternoon. I laid down in the early afternoon, next thing I jumped awake and it was nearly 5 p.m.! By that time I had to race around and do chores, then cat dinner and Sidney's insulin. So much for St. Pat's, but I think I've needed extra sleep lately - probably because I caught a cold from that eye doctor who kept wiping her snotty nose with her hand .

Anyway, a really cute keychain I'd ordered from Etsy came in the mail. It involves a colorful acrylic flower and a tube of mint lip gloss. So happy and perfect for spring and summer!

I'm still around and alive. Sorry for disappearing, it wasn't intentional -- got sucked down a rabbit hole of gaming. Forgot the world existed for a bit lol... apparently much longer than I thought. I neglected a lot including therapy. I'm getting things back into check.

How long have you been up like this. I used to do things like you are doing and I was manic.

No, I am not a perfectionist. I decided that that was the last thing in the world I wanted to be when I was a teenager. I have kept my promise ...

My problem is more about how to get things done in spite of depression. For the time being I have a lot of pain in my body as well. For depression I have combined different techniques to be able to get the most important done.

The problem yesterday was that I was not able to go on with my duties after my rest at the sofa. Not even doing things in small parts at the time attracted me. I was tired, but it was also a motivation problem or "how shall I be able to overcome this".

I have also thought about that my tiredness can be a rheumatic problem because of all the pain. Even if so, I need to get the housework done. I have asthma and cannot allow myself to be overcome with dust.

I was just randomly checking my email and saw an email from the person that said they were looking through applications and wanted to know if I’d like the position

I wasn’t sure if I’d hear from them after I put my application in a couple weeks ago.

So I’ll be doing that position and then occasionally helping out at a different place near here to kitchen prep/serve meals to the community

I need to take my 4 year old son to my GP for a referral to either a paediatrician or a child psychologist - not sure which one. I'd definitely say in my unprofessional opinion he has ADHD, even at this young age. We also have problems with him eating ... I can name only 4 foods he eats. He absolutely refuses to eat anything else. And, we're seriously struggling to toilet train him at home. 5 days a week he's in underpants. He will poo and wee in the toilets at daycare but my toilet at home has monsters. I've tried every shape potty you can think of including porta-loos that are smaller (his toilets at daycare are quite low to the ground).

I won't medicate him either way it's just to get some strategies for his teachers next year. I know it's a young age but I know he is SO different from my older 2 kids who were this age that there's "something" there that's not within the realm of other 4 year olds. Don't know what it is...

Sorry about your itchy skin!

Hope your son get the help that he needs!

I was up early, had some food and dusted off my furniture. I had planned to hover the floor in the living room, but the pain in all my muscles prevented me. I had pain from top to toe, especially in my upper arms. The pain was so strong that I almost cried out loud.

I am going go have an examination of my arms next week. I am so afraid that it is something dangerous.

I rested a bit, filled myself with Parasetamol, waited and then hovered the living room in one part at the time. I am glad it's done. The floor needs washing as well, but that has to wait.

For the rest of the weekend I will relax, be sure!

A good weekend to everybody!

Ah, I understand now. Thank you for clarifying, Rosi.

Have you had your vitamin D checked? I often ached, especially in my arms and legs, and the fatigue was constant. I always wondered what was wrong with me, thinking perhaps chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia. Then I discovered (through a blood lab) that my vitamin D was quite low. Apparently, low D can cause all of the above (and more).

Today was a very spring-like day in my neck of the woods, getting up to around 65 F (18.5 C). Hubby and I returned to the "honey mountain" in order to look for a special flower that only blooms there, in Czech Republic. There were plenty of other hikers, also looking for the flower. We were all satisfied. Many were blooming. I'll admit that our hike was a little longer than I expected. About 2 hours, but at a leisurely pace.

When we got home we definitely needed showers. Also, I needed to do extra self-care to become dress ready. Tonight we're going to a village ball, called a "Hasičský Ples" (Fireman's Ball). We likely won't stay too long, but are curious. We donated a few things as raffle prizes, and Hubby unexpectedly even gave some cash. We've always contributed to the volunteer fire companies in the US, so thought we should here, too. Apparently our donation was enough to be called a "sponsor". So we'll go. I'll likely be the only foreigner there. We plan to drive close to the place and walk a bit on the road. It is within walking-distance of where we're living, but our road is a muddy mess. Unless I wore galoshes or hiking boots with the dress, that's not an option. All that's around are village homes and cow and horse farms.

There's a well-known Czech film from the 1960s called "Fireman's Ball" (Hasičský ples) that was directed by Milos Forman, director of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" and "Amadeus".
