Good morning, I have therapy today at 3pm. It’s a little after 7am now. Nothing else going on today. I feel pretty good. I’m just trying to decide what to do with the majority of the day before my appointment. Probably reading.

Yeah, there are some other words that don't match what we think they do in other cultures.

One of the more interesting ones for me is Hotel.

I've been to India a number of times, and I was always intrigued by the number of hotels all over the cities.

But these weren't regular hotels like we think of them. They were small buildings with one or two floors and run by the owner. I thought it was strange that they'd need such small hotels in a large city, but I went along with it and accepted it as part of the culture.

It was years later that i finally understood what a Hotel is It's their word for Restaurant!

So, it makes sense now. The funny thing is my Indian friends continue to use Hotel in reference to a Restaurant, making things interesting when we travel together

I have no idea why, but I slept for *** 6 *** hours last night!

I was so surprised when I got up this morning and had to think several times about what time I went to bed. But it worked out!

I was really tired yesterday and i took melatonin and zopiclone at the same time because i just wanted to go to bed. Maybe taking them at the same time did it, i dunno.

Therapy today!!!!!!!

I got up super early (3:30am) to pee and didn't go back to bed, but I went to bed fairly early sometime between 9 and 10 I think. Normally I try to make my showers like 5 minutes at most because of the shared bathroom situation, but today I took my damn time, used this really nice lavender goat's milk soap I found, and was in there like 10 minutes and did a cold rinse and it was splendid.

Been doing math this morning. Nothing more fun than using u-substitution to find integrals!

Last night with dinner there was a new person I've never talked to on the on-call line and she was actually really helpful with suggestions. Told me to just let it sit and put a timer on for 10 minutes and do stuff to relax first (listen to music, write, read) and try again, and I took a bite but it was still hard so I read the whole next chapter of the book and REALLY tried focusing and picturing what was going on and after I ate another 6 bites. Did throw out the rest though.

But today I'm going to try and physically rest my body (the library is closed so it's not like I'll be walking over there) and do a lot of reading, writing, practicing French, and math. Maybe some coloring. Might break out the violin too. I do want to do some light stretching, but I'm going to keep the physical activity to walking to my appointments and stretching out my back today.

I started the new thread. Gosh only #90?

Seems we should have more than that. I don’t have the ability to put a link. But I’ll ask for this one to be closed.

Boy this brought back memories! The Canteen was the name of the outdoor restaurant at my hometown's offsite camping and lake beach location.
