Jan, what a nightmare. Can you get in home help? Might call insurance and see if you can get a nurse. Don't want that eye to go blind ! You've got to get some reliable help.

Sometimes I just do not understand how so many bad things can happen to good people

It's scary . Please everyone get some reliable help

All here are in my thoughts - wishing for healing and for the bad "things" to GO AWAY

(I know it's not so easy - (or possible, without help I certainly can't give ) .....and for IR friends to not get it ,grrr )

Well I called in all my meds on Monday because the pharmacy said they had a new system and they are having issues so if I need refills to call them in early. Tried to use the online system and it kept giving me errors. Ok so I called the pharmacy and gave them the numbers. 9 prescriptions in total. Last night I am just about asleep it's going on 8 pm and the pharmacy calls and says my pulmonary doctor wants to see me. I want to scream. Then this morning they called again and said my cardio doc refilled 1 prescription but not the other 3 and that I need to make an appointment and see him. So I call his office. I got put on hold for 11 minutes. Nice. They finally came on and said no appointments available till the middle of December. I said fine but what about my meds I need them by tomorrow. She said she will leave a message of the doctor.

So I see the pulmonary doctor today I will take those prescriptions to the pharmacy and just drop them off along with 2 for my son. Then I will fight traffic and get home only to have to either go to the pharmacy tomorrow or Saturday.

Jan I am so sorry. I hope the shot helps you.

Take care everyone

Hugs

I finally have a t appnt next week, hope this works so I can get my meds. Called 9 more places, no dice. Called these people, hounding them, until they gave me an appnt.
Also had to move up my ultrasound to Monday. Yay. One I'm dreading. One that will tell us if I'm on track for surgery or not.

So my appointment today was at 3 pm I arrived at 2:50 no doctor. I asked at 3:24 if he had arrived yet and they said he just arrived and put me in a room. But the doctor had to take a snack break in his office before he could see me. Really so he gVe me all my meds I needed and some I did not want then I told him my cardio doc will not give me my blood pressure meds until I see him and I can't get an appointment until December 18th so he said no problem he would give me the meds I need. I was very thankful. I dropped everything off at the pharmacy it was going to take them over 1 1/2 hours to fill everything so I said I will either pick them up tomorrow or Saturday we are supposed to get rain tomorrow and the last thing I want is to be running around everywhere. I made it home only to have the animals act like I have not given them food in weeks. So I gave them food then hubby came home. I changed my clothes and took my meds (my head was pounding) then I warned up some soup and I am trying to settle down. Lord I hate doctors and head aches

((((( Cake ))))) I hope you are feeling better and having a good night's sleep. I'm really glad you got all your meds.

I got a call from the Rhuemy's nurse today. I can't have my mobic for pain because my kidney levels are a little off. That leaves Tylenol, which is like taking water for pain. Also, it's not good for my kidneys so what am I to do? That leaves me nothing for pain. It also means we can't raise the methotrexate.

We had a death in our family this weekend. My cousin had fatty liver disease, which is something I have. He developed cirrhosis and his death has really shaken me. I must change my naughty eating habits.

I found an awesome site for Dry Eye Syndrome and thought it might help some of you. It's called notadryeye.org

Jan I am so sorry. I have done so much running around this week it's not funny.

When I went to pick up my meds yesterday I witnessed an accident saw 3 other accidents. People in California do not know how to drive in the rain. I get to the pharmacy and it's raining I go in and the normal people are off so the B team or I should say the F team is there. Some meds they tried to give me double others they did not have and I made her go back to the prescription and look and she found it put the meds I put in my nebulizer they did not have so I had to call the doctors office and say can you call it in they can't find it and I told the lady that if I don't have it by today then I will end up in the ER room and I will not be happy. I have enough to carry me to Monday but they didn't seem to care I should not have to point out that stuff was double and other stuff was missing. It's a mess.

Ok I am done ranting

Jan I have them redo your kidney test so you can get some sort of pain meds. And I am sorry about your relative

Thank you, Cake for your condolences. My cousin was a very nice man. I am expected by the family, and it's the right thing to do, to be at the visitation at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and stay through the services at 11:00 a.m. I did a lot today so I know I'm going to be so sore and in pain in the morning. I don't mean to whine, but I'm worried about not having pain meds and being able to go in the morning.

Thank you for the suggestion to have my kidney test redone. I bought some water at the store today so I could maybe flush my kidneys out some more. Maybe that will help.

Cake, I'm so sorry you're having such trouble with your pharmacy. I'm having much the same with mine. I can't keep track of all the meds I take and I depend on them to help me, but lately they are failing to do so. It's very frustrating and I'm so sorry you're having to do that, too.

Love to you all.

Hysterectomy. The test is tomorrow and I'm really nervous! Then I meet with the doctor about the results on Tuesday. I also made a new therapist on Tuesday after that.

Ow ow owwwww that was a super painful ultrasound :sobbing: I cried through it and had a few mini blackouts or fugue moments. It's been 9 hours and I'm still in pain. I wanted to take a bubble bath, but we had lightning storms. Took a nap until a clap of thunder woke me.
See the dr tomorrow about my results. Did see the screen (I guess they show women now- helps distract them) and the fibroids are large. Mom and I were planning where I will recoup if I have surgery.
Thinking of you all xox

OMG what a mess. I got all but 1 and I will that this week along with my pain meds from my rhemy. But lord what a mess. They didn't have everything and The normal pharmacist and then pharmacist assistant was not there so I had to argue with the people there that they needed to look at the prescription itself and give me my prescriptions they finally gave me my prescriptions and there was one prescription that they gave me twice and one was for $20 and one was for $89 so I question them on that.

I also had to pick up two prescriptions for my son so when I was transferring you know the rest of my meds from last month into this months new med bottles. I noticed that the pill counts were off where I would take one pill a month so that's 30 pills it said 90 pills I only usually get one month at a time because that's the way the insurance works there is also the medicine for my nebulizer that they said they didn't have the prescription for but when I looked in the bag there was of a paper that said not covered by Humana I even called the doctors office when I was that and said you need to send it again because they said they don't have it. Then I looked at my receipt I had 11 prescriptions and my son had 2 so for a total of 13 they only charged me for eight prescriptions

When I go in with my rheumatologist prescriptions I will tell them.

I just feel that they the doctors should not make it hard to get your prescriptions and then the pharmacy should not make any harder yet I dropped my prescriptions off on Thursday afternoon I did not go pick them up until Friday afternoon and they close at seven so they had a lot of time to fill to my prescriptions. It's sad no matter how you look at it it's sad to have to fight for your meds

Oh Kiya, I'm so sorry. You poor thing! I'm so sorry it was so awful.

Be sure and let us know what the Dr says. I wish I lived near you. I'd take care of you while you recoup.

I had an appt. today with the gyne to learn the results of the biopsies on my fibroid tumors, but I just was not up to going. Then I called the eye Dr and explained my eye is no better. In fact, it's worse. He wants to see me today. I'm supposed to be there in an hour and I haven't even had a shower yet. I guess I'll wear my hat today. I was up most of the night trying to pry my eyelids open where they matted shut. I'm exhausted.

Thank you for the flowers, Gus!

The Dr. found infection and inflammation in both eyes this time. So, he put me on drops that are a combination of antibiotics and steroids. They sure do feel good in my eyes.

I'm going to crawl in my recliner and just rest my eyes. I don't have a bed, but I'm comfy in the recliner and I'm very grateful for it.

Hugs and love to everyone!

Wow, reading what everyone else is dealing with I feel foolish coming here to b i t c h about a fibro flare. I swear to gawd even my hair hurts. I'm so exhausted I fell asleep sitting up on the sofas the last two nights.

I've got to work four more years before I can retire. Times like this I think I'll never make it.

the average wait time for SSDI is 19 months, during which you cannot work, and unemployment rarely covers more than a yr... so 9 months of utter poverty, and no guarantees~ it DOES suck~

If you get an SSDI attorney it's easier. My wait time was 7 months from the time I applied till the time I was approved. During that time my work had short term disability and I used my sick time and vacation time to make up the difference.

There is also the FLMA (I think that's what it is) the family leave act that will protect your job. There are to many people out there that are receiving SSDI or SSI and they are no where near has sick has you. Remember one thing. You have paid into this all your working life.
