Kiya, good luck Wednesday.

Gus, thanks for the pics. The couch one really hits home today.

Childofchaos, I hope the pain goes away soon.

Jan, be careful with those meds. We don't want you getting sick from them. I'm glad you were able to go to the funeral though.

Cake, I'm glad your great-grandmother enjoyed her party. And you didn't have to serve cat pate!

Folks, keep me in your thoughts today and tomorrow. You may have seen my post in pets about my friend's sick cat. We have an appointment to take her to the state vet school hospital tomorrow for an assessment. That means I will spend 2.5 hours driving to my friend's today. Hour and a half to the vet school tomorrow. Hour and a half back to my friend's. Then 2.5 hours back home. Riding in the car or driving damn near kills me. I already warned folks at work that I'm not likely to be good for anything on Wednesday. Please keep me in your thoughts. I realize this ain't much compared to what some of you are facing, but am still dreading it.

Each one of you are in my prayers and I am also sending good thoughts to you.

Gus, I thought I had said it in my post before, but please, please be careful shoveling snow! Please be careful walking in the snow. Thank you for the wonderful pictures!

Liz, I hope you manage to do as well as possible on your trip and that you feel better than expected on Wed.

Child, I hope the TENS unit helps and that the Dr. gave you some good help.

Kiya, please get in touch just as soon as possible. I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Christina, I sure hope you are staying warm. Please take care of yourself!

I am experiencing a bit of the side effects from the medicine that I mistakenly took. I'm trying to drink water to help with it, but anyone who knows me knows that I hate the taste of water.

The Dr. gave me something to help me sleep. I have barely been sleeping at all. I took it at midnight and slept 13 hours! I was exhausted, but wow! Tonight I plan on taking it at 9:00 so I'll hopefully wake up at a decent time.

Belle is doing fine. I'm trying to teach her to ride around in a tote so I can sneak her in to meet my friends at the Dr's office. Belle doesn't like the idea. I may have to bribe her with treats.

I didn't try the tens unit today, cuz mom is being awful... not even worth asking.

My doc is out of the office all week, but one of the nurse practitioners ok'ed a shot of toradol (sp?). It's an IM shot, and I can just walk in tomorrow for it.

Hopefully it will last til my appt next week.

Hello everyone. Have to make this short so I can get ready for work.

Kiya, good luck today.

I posted about friend's cat in pets. Bottom line is that she goes back for more tests later this week.

I am half dead. Way too much driving/riding in the car the last two days. Am brain dead and in pain. Might not be online much until the weekend. Probably going to be too tired/sore to log in. All of you will be in my thoughts.

I haven't been here for a while but I thought I'd say hi. Hope everyone here is doing the best they can be under the circumstances. =)

I'm a silly girl, I got nicotine poisoning. Now I'm quitting and the withdraw is making me wickedly emotional. Bah.

On another note, found a fibro cream that actually helps my shoulder and neck a bit. So there is that going for me!

Gus, I have a friend born and raised here in Florida. She says she'd love to live where it snows. I point out that while the stuff can be pretty there are the realities of things like shoveling. She doesn't get it.

As predicted I haven't even turned the computer on after work since the last time I posted.

Has anyone heard from Kiya since her surgery?

Christina, gotta love those side effects - NOT!

I'm laughing at myself for my big plans to find a way to socialize. As soon as I went back to work it was back to the same old routine of go to work, come home, crash, get up, go to work, repeat. It's not only the lack of energy to do anything, it's that after working with troubled youth (and sometimes adults) all day I don't want to look at or talk to another human being in the evenings. It's part of the reason I don't visit PC in the evenings some nights. I need my alone time to recharge.

I plan to spend most of today crashed on the sofa. A friend came over with his chainsaw yesterday so we could take down some trash trees near my barn. Between the leftover effects of the driving the beginning of the week, cold front that is moving through today and hard physical work yesterday I can barely move today. I plan to spend most of the day wrapped in my heated throw curled on the sofa. On the plus side, I used my chainsaw enough to stop being afraid of it.

Gentle hugs to all.

Christina, it is so good to see you! I hope your prednizone problems are soon over.

Liz, I hope you recover and rest today. Working a chainsaw is hard! I'm glad that is over and that you are taking it easy today.

My son is stationed in Hattiesburg, MS, where there was a horrible tornado that struck the area. I couldn't find him at all yesterday, but thank God I finally heard from him at 2:00 a.m. He is safe. What a relief!

I go tomorrow for a stress test, echo cardiogram, fasting blood tests, etc. I have to be there at 9:00 a.m., which means I have to get up at 7:00 a.m. I am not alive anymore until 11:00 a.m. It's all going to be difficult, but the Dr. and his staff are very nice.

I am having another major problem which has severe and dangerous side effects, but it's embarrassing to post on here. Just please, say a prayer for me or send me healing thoughts.

Belle has developed a cough that sounds like a honking goose. She doesn't cough all the time. I am hoping I can take her to the vet on Tuesday. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Her nose is nice and cold, so that's a good sign...

Kiya said she'd be without a phone to text us for a few days. I hope we are able to hear from her soon.

I love all of you.

Back pain is getting better... a week ago was awful, spent the first part of last week trying to get something that would help... toradol shot, Voltaren pills and steroid dosepak later, I can move without cringing. See pain mgmt doc day after tomorrow.

The Fibromyalgia check in thread.😀

two of my good neighbors took pity on me and shoveled me a path to the street. i really needed to get to the pharmacy, and tomorrow i have my annual re-script for diabetic meds, so Hallelu~! Friday i plan on being a toad.

(the snow is over 3 ft, almost 4 ft deep, and i'm only 5 ft tall, so it's a wonderland~! )

do let us know what the vet has to say about little Belle, Jan ~! ??
wishing you all bliss and euphoria~ and the causes of joy~

Hi Everybody!

Gus, I am so grateful for your good neighbors helping you! I can't imagine snow up to my shoulders! Brrrrrrr. Stay safe and warm!

I took Belle to the vet yesterday. A huge brindle Cur and Pit Bull mixed came out of a room and decided it wanted to attack Belle. Belle wanted to play with it until it started trying to attack. Belle got between me and the dog, showed her fangs and uttered this feral growl! The idiot dog's idiot owner thought it was funny, until he had to start yanking his dog backwards and couldn't do it. They literally dragged Belle into a room and slammed the door. I started to throw a fit on the man. I haven't thrown a classic one in over ten years, but I decided he was too ignorant to learn anything from it. Oh, if Belle or I had been hurt though, it would have been a different story.

Belle's tracheal tube is swollen and inflamed. It's so bad I can't lead her by her collar. She can only have her dog food and water. Then in one month, we'll try a different protein in the dog food, etc for three months until or if we see improvements. Then we'll try environmental factors. If nothing works, she'll have to be on a monthly allergy shot forever. She got a big prednizone shot and she has to take 5 mg. of Zyrtec a day.

Belle can't have any treats or any little bites from my food. She cries and asks for them and I feel so guilty for not giving them to her...

Yesterday was my birthday! Except for the fight at the vet's office, it was a wonderful day!

I went to the eye Dr. today. My eyes are infected again. He gave me the antibiotics to use in them. My eyes are also inflamed. So, I have the drops for that.

I could barely walk today. I am in a lot of pain. I am going to go ahead and agree to be sent to a pain specialist. I can't function on tylenol and placquinil. I go for an MRI on my back on the 7th. I don't see the Rhuemy until March, but I don't know if I can hold out that long.

My other really urgent health problem is a little better, but not much. I don't know what the Gastro is going to do to me. It is a life threatening issue.

The heart specialist hasn't called yet, so that must mean he didn't find anything immediately life threatening on my tests. So, that's a good point.

I love you all!

Thanks all!! Surgery went fine, recovered in hospital 2 days, then respite house 4 days. It's been chaos since I got out; appointments, tests, scans, Meds to get... Tired. Did go for a short walk today. Glad I had 4 days of shoveling snow to build up my strength and endurance to lift my sore body around now.
Went off pain Meds early, had a fibro flare today and said screw it. Back on pain Meds.
Thinking of you all!!!!
