Thank you for the warmth! It is supposed to be zero F tonight. It's been so cold this weekend! I'm like Kiya; I made a pot of homemade vegie soup. It has helped.

Belle was freezing, so I put her sweater on her. The only problem was I put it on backwards! She was not amused!

I went to the heart specialist. I have to have a bunch of tests on the 23rd. If he doesn't find anything, it's on the Pulmonologist. I need to be able to breathe.

Love to all of you! Please stay safe and warm. (Possum, you stay cool!)

Those of you where temps are below freezing will laugh at me. The cold front that slammed the rest of the country arrived here yesterday. Temps dropped about 50 degrees following the storm. No where near as clod as y'all are facing, but cold for Florida! I heard last night that Florida is the only state of the lower 48 without snow.

I don't eat enough soup to merit making a whole pot, but might open a can of soup for lunch today. Looking forward to a fire in the fireplace today!

I am making a large pot of chicken noodle soup. We have been getting a lot of cold here to Liz. Now we are expecting "the worst rain and snow storm in a century ". This is California

It's real bad already since we have had a lot of rain already. With all the fires we have had lots of mud slides not to mention the ground can't soak up the water fast enough.

Liz .... My husband and I are considering being snowbirds, the people we use to complain about when we grew up and lived in Florida . Lol eat your soup and I hope the pain lowers quickly. It's like 53 in the house right now , can't afford to keep it any warmer , can you say layers lol

Cake .... Stay bundled up and yes pot of soup sounds fantastic ! Be safe in all that rain

Sore... had a 3rd ESI in a 3rd party of my back due to the car accident... plus allergies with a lot of coughing and not really sleeping well. Really just want to sleep for the whole night at this point... but keep waking up either in pain or coughing...

Gus and Fuzzy, thank you for the wonderful pictures!

Oh, I hope all of you stay safe, dry and warm. Please take care of yourselves and check in when you can.

The blisters are back and I can barely walk. I may be bad enough to go to the ER, but I don't know what they could do. I have meds here at home. We've had a very unexpected death in the family and I need to go the funeral to support my dear cousin, but I don't think I can manage it. We'll see.

Love you all including those that read and don't post.

The Fibromyalgia check in thread.😀

yesterday i shovelled a path to the street. it was that heavy, wet snow, that had been frozen, and had to be chopped every step of the way, about a foot deep where i had shoveled previously, and widened almost double to get the food trolly in. it took me three tries to get to the road, and 2 of my neighbors took pity on me and helped with the ice berm from the plow (it was 4 ft high and 6 ft wide~!) O.O bless them~!

it took me three tries of about 40 minutes, and the last time i had to put on my back brace, but the temp was nice, maybe 40 ? and i was sweating up a fog. i thought sure i would be wishing i were dead when i went to bed,, but NO~! omg, i wasn't sore at all (sorry to be telling you that). nor this morning .

so i went to the grocery store and found lots of lovely things i like on sale. now the fridge is stuffed, the freezer is stuffed, the path is shovelled, i baked a roast, and i'm officially hybernating until the cats force me to clean their litter boxes~! :x

{{{{ Jan }}}}, it's so hard to loose your ability to support those you love, the worst sort of loss, mobility~ i remember, before i got on oxygen, how much pain i was in. that's when i got the back brace. walking leaning on a wheelchair, because i would have to sit every 200 ft. that's why i'm here supporting those of you who suffer so... it really touches my heart, how brave you all are.

Warning I need to vent warning

So I got hubby off to work yesterday took my meds watched a little tv then I went back to sleep around 6am. I woke up at 7:30 and was trying to force myself to get up and take a shower because between 8-12 the washer repair man was to come. At 7:49 am I heard a Big Bang out side. I went to the front door and didn't see anything. So I opened the fridge t door and the smell of gas hit me in the face. So I walked down the walk way and saw my neighbor across the street. I asked if he smelled the gas and he said your truck has been hit. I go around the front of my truck and someone had hit my truck in the gas tank area and left. Gas was pouring out. I ran in got the phone called 911 told them brushed my teeth real fast but on a bathrobe got Sammy out of her kennel and ran back out.

All of my neighbors were out I called ken and said he needed to come home. He never leaves work but he said he was on his way. A neighbor down the street said he has security cameras and he was going to look at them. He found the guy who hit my poor defenseless truck. If his tire rod had not broken I don't think we would have caught him. He finely came down and said he hit my truck.

My neighbor kept urging me to get shoes on it was high 30's low 40's and I was shaking. The police came 2 cars and the fire truck. Then another firetuck came. Right in front of hour house is a storm drain and I had a full tank of gas. Then the city came. Lucky hubby got home just in time.

We thought everything was calming down only for the city to come back out and ask why isn't the fire department still here. And they told my husband he had 1 hour to get the truck out it there and they call the police back out. The officer called the towing company directly and finely 2 trucks showed up one for us and one for the guy who hit me. But we had to find a shop to take I to. We found one and they took it.

Now the hazmat team was out side to clean up the front of the house. In between we called the insurance company and our agent who was useless. I took a shower and got dressed and hubby looked at our cameras. He hit my car hard and didn't even slow down.

This happened at 7:49 am my the time all was said and done it was after 1 pm and I needed a rental car but I have a ramp on my truck for my power chair. Hubby had to take it off and no one would help him.

It looks like my truck will be totaled

Then hubby's brother calls and says he's on his way over and he has their sister with him. He just found out he has nasal cancer and will have to go through chemo and radiation.

Then hubby's sister tells us that her husband needs a new kidney and is refusing dialysis

I am mentally, physically and emotionally drained. Oh and my grandmother turns 90 today and tomorrow we are throwing her a surprise party which most of it is falling on me.

The upside the washer got fixed. It was also the repair guy when he was watching the video of my truck being hit said I bet he was on his phone.

Can anyone guess what my blood pressure is now

I am sorry Liz. Should we start a count down till you can retire I know it's a couple of years away but everyday we can scratch off is something

Jan I never did say how sorry I am about losing your family member. I know how hard it's been. But you have Belle. So just take it one day at a time and if that doesn't work take it one hour at a time. That's what I do sometimes

Nana's party is today and I was just going over my list of things I need to stop and get and things that I need to bring. This might sound bad but I will be glad when this is over. She does not expect anything which is good. And she deserves this and much more. I spent more time with her then my mom.

My truck is totaled. I know it's just a truck but my kids grow up with that truck and so did there friends. That truck holds a lot of memories and where ever I go in my city or the next people honk when they see my truck and I get a lot of hands out the windows and people wave. Kids that i used to give rides to on rainy days so they did not have to walk in the rain or kids that I picked up when they were sick at school. I was the emergency contact for kids in at least 10 different schools.

My one brother in law who needs the kidney was not going to do diayasis but now he is. My other brother in law well we will take it day by day step by step. I just have to remember that I can't physically and mentally do it all. I just can't anymore

Possum, I sure like the idea of cat food pate!

Oh Cake! I'm so sorry about your truck. Life sure gets crazy in a very short amount of time sometimes! I'm just so thankful you weren't hurt. Maybe you'll grow to love your new truck as much as the old one and make wonderful new memories with it.

I'm sorry about your loved ones who are sick. I pray they improve with every passing day.

I hope your Grandmother's birthday was super special and filled with many wonderful moments. I hope you didn't overdo things.

Liz, please take care of yourself! Let things go at the house so you can take better care of you.

Gus, thank you for the post and the wonderful pictures. You know I love you!

I healed enough that I was able to get dressed and go to my cousin's memorial. Out of desperation, I was given oral medicine in addition to topical medicines to fight the blisters. I didn't read the directions, and instead of taking one tablet per week, I took one five days in a row. I think that's the only reason I healed enough to be able to dress in regular clothes. Now I have to watch out for the side effects of over dosing, but I think I will be fine.

Belle sends slurpy kisses to each of you!

Good news at last.

Nana's party went off great. She was surprised. She is a very special lady. But I did over do it and I can barely walk and I could not use my walker there not with that many people. I got real nervous because I had invited 2 of her neighbors. The one neighbor that I had a r phone number for and was supposed to tell one other family fornme since I did not have their number. Well she went to every neighbor and told them about the party I was like omg am I going to have enough food. But we had enough.

I am tired and I can hardly move but I took my meds and I am heading to bed after I post this. I will keep you guys posted.

Everyone take care and did kiya have her surgery yet ? Has anyone heard anything ? I hope she can find some time for a quick update.

Sending positive vibes and hugs to each and every one of you

I have had a sharp, almost stabbing pain in my lower back all day.

I tried using a heating pad, taking a warm bath with eucalyptus/spearmint/menthol epson salts, a pain cream, advil (ibuprofen) and aspirin... nothing has helped...

I ended up just taking a nap, 3.5 hours, and it felt better, until I stood up again.

Of course, it is Sunday, so I can't even talk to my pain mgmt doc til tomorrow (hopefully, MLK day)...

I did some cleaning yesterday, and by the time I finished, this area was sore, but after resting, it felt fine. Then I wake up this morning, and I can barely move... wth.

Saying a brief hello and sending hugs!!!
Sore from shoveling snow the last several days and dealing with super cold temps. My window was frozen shut-on the inside!
😳 Looking forward to having all this snow leave.
I'll be having surgery on Wednesday and will check in when I can. Thinking of all of you and your important people/animals!!!
Hugs,
Kiya
