I saw the Dr. yesterday. I felt like a fool and tears slipped out of my eyes that I tried to hide. Somehow, on Dec. 8th, she called in fluid pills and potassium pills for me. I didn't know it, so of course, I didn't take them! I am to keep my legs propped up as much as possible and take the pills. Somehow the chain of communication was broken. I don't know by whom or how.

Today, after the pills wear off, which will be six or seven hours, I'll try to hobble to the store. I don't have much of a choice. I might try tomorrow. I have enough to make it through the day...

Thank you for telling me this isn't fibro. I honestly didn't know.

Love and tears to all.

I am so sorry Liz. You do have a appointment with a pulmonary doctor right? That doctor might have some better answers. But beware they should ask if you have animals and if you say yes they more then likely will tell you to stay away from them or get rid of them. Cats can bring an asthma attack on real quick.

Yes, I have an appt. Monday with the pulmonary doc.

I've been tested for allergies to the critters. Not allergic. Personally I think this is a wicked infection that I need a strong, longer course of antibiotics for. Symptoms started back up a couple of days after I finished the last round of antibiotics.

I'm so tired and so frustrated by this. It's been going on since the middle of November.

Liz, I so hope the pulmonary Dr. can help you. Please let us know what he says.

On the home front, I go to the EN&T specialist on Tues. over the recurrent strep. I'm going to see if he can help me with the wheezing I have. It's not all the time, but it's especially at night or if I exert myself very much. I believe it's my meaness!

Hey all, haven't been checking in on here lately and probably still won't be much at the moment. Everything is okay, just finding it helpful to not focus on it for now.
Hope you're all well.

Liz the way my pulmonary doctor explained it to me is that you don't have to be allergic to animals for them to affect your breathing. He wants me way from all of our animals. I just look at him and smile because there is no way I can give up me fur babies

Well, I don't know any more than I did this morning. Didn't see the pulmonary doc. All they did was the lung function test. I told the tech it would show I had asthma and bronchitis. Not sure what the whole point of all this was. We know what's wrong with me. The test took forever because I kept coughing. I'd be breathing, start to cough and we'd have to start all over. I'm exhausted tonight. Between how long the test took because we had to keep starting over and just generally not feeling well I'm pooped. Am going to call my PCP's office in the morning and see how soon I can get in to see her. I was going to wait until she got the test results, but I need meds sooner rather than later.

I am so sorry Liz. I could not do the breathing test because of all the coughing you really need to see the pulmonary doctor. Mine has given me this really good cough medicine that takes the cough way but also puts you to sleep. It's nice for bed time

(((((((((Liz)))))))))))) sure hope you get some answers and relief soon!!! (There's a product called Clear Lung in health food stores, if you can get it. It REALLY helps me with my cough and breathing. It's a natural thing - not that I'm saying use it for pneumonia or anything, but in general.

I went to the EN&T specialist yesterday. He said it will be sometime next week before I know anything, which is more than reasonable since he had to do cultures. He did say that sometimes people just have chronic sore throats that are not contagious and that's what I'm hoping he finds. Maybe if that's it, he can figure out a way for the sore throat to go away, but we'll see.

It's something you can vape, it's said to have healing properties. My cousin who has fibromyalgia swears by it. Says it helps with pain, anxiety, etc. It's more costly than regular liquid like E-hookah or E-cig flavors.

Thanks or the info but it's not for me. I also have lupus and pulmonary fibrous and lesions in my lungs and a mass so I have never smoked anything in my life and I am not about to start now. But for others it might help

Checking in... Recovering still from shoveling ice, snow, and moving broken tree branches for two days. Took more out of me than I expected. It was Monday and Tuesday and I am still exhausted. Also fighting a cold and increasing headaches.
Hugs and support to you all!!
