I have heard that moving our bodies does help decrease the fibro pain at times. Maybe taking it slowly and listening to your body is going to really make a difference in your pain levels moving forward. I really hope it does!

Thanks sabby. Legs are still sore for some reason but I'm going to go ahead and doing the jog/walking again this morning. I'll do 3 bursts of jogging one minute each again. It is requiring a lot of patience to have to progress so slowly with the jogging, but the memory of those bad flares when I did more has me staying in line!

Got a little lightheaded after jog/walking yesterday and can't help but wonder if that's part of my fibromyalgia. Didn't turn into a flare though but was frustrating enough. No exercise today.

Went jog/walking with my dog this morning. Am anticipating a little lightheadedness like last time. Again, can't help but think it's fibro/exercise intolerance-related since when I get in a flare I'm very lightheaded.

Does anyone else get lightheaded with their fibro flares? It's a very disturbing aspect of fibro for me.

Still managing to stay out of flare. We'll see if I can manage to do that after tomorrow's increase in the amount of time jogging in my jog/walking.

Had slight lightheadedness again after jog/walking yesterday. T thinks I should try eating after exercising and see if that doesn't help. Somehow, I don't think that's the problem. I think it's related to mild exercise intolerance related to fibromyalgia. . .

Sounds like you are a woman on a mission newgal2! You go girl!

As far as lightheadedness goes....absolutely I get that as well. It's not fun.

I hope it dissipates soon for you when you get it. Please be careful!

I am on a mission, sabby! I will keep increasing the jog time of my jog/walking as long as it doesn't cause a flare. Hope you are staying healthy and flare-free!

As I posted, I'm increasing the number of times I jog today during my jog/walking to four instead of three. Fingers crossed that it doesn't cause a flare. You guys will be among the first to know if it does.

Grateful for this place to check in and vent about my fibro. Hope everyone is healthy and pain-free today.

Good for you newgal2!

I'm doing so so. Very foggy brained for days now. Even typing is hard as I forget where the keys are or I spell something wrong. It's aggrevating as I am a good and fast typist normally. *sigh* Oh well, gotta take what's handed to me and deal with it the best way I can. Onward and hopefully upward!

You have a good attitude, sabby. Thanks for sharing it. My attitude about fibro symptoms leaves a little bit to be desired lately!

While we haven't had to deal with the ugly weather that hit the northeast this week, we've had a series of cold fronts move through. Each day the fog and pain have been a bit worse than the day before. I couldn't get to sleep last night because of the pain. The current front seems stalled over us. The ding-dang thing needs to get a move on! I'm sick of this.

I'm in the northeast Liz....lucky me.....and lucky you. You need to get out there and kick that front to the back! LOL

Sounds like you haven't had time to recoup from one flare before another starts up again with those fronts. I think the same is happening to me as well. We seem to be in a weather pattern of snow and now frigid cold as well. I don't have too much issue with the cold as I can always find a way to stay warm but the highs and lows of the barometer keep me aching and joints cracking and feeling very inflamed. Stoopid weather!

I had a boss some time ago who was a pretty funny guy. When we had bad weather he would always ask me why I didn't pay the danged weather bill. My response to him was that he keeps forgetting to give me a decent raise in order to afford it!

I think I am in a mild flare from my increase in the run portion of my run/walking yesterday. I only added one one-minute spurt, but the tell-tale sign that I'm in a flare as opposed to soreness from exercise is that my upper arms hurt. My legs hurt today but so do my biceps, and kind of feel like I'm dragging energy-wise.

Will do no exercise today, just walk the dogs with my husband to loosen up the legs.

I am really hurting today. I couldn't sleep much last night because of the pain. Oh, well. I shall persevere. I am going out later today with some friends to Starbuck's. One of the friends has fibro, too. She says she will hurt whether she stays in or goes out. I am going out!

I often walk around stores to get some exercise, anyway. My friend is trying yoga.

A big but gentle to you all!

Oh Sabby, I'm sorry you (and everyone else in that area) are dealing with the masses of snow. I'd like to go north some time to play in the snow for a few days, but absolutely do not want to have to deal with it on a day-to-day basis. Once in awhile I meet someone who has lived in the south all their life and they say they wish it would snow here because it's so pretty. I point out all the negative aspects of it. I grew up in the north. I know what the realities of it are.

You are right. It's been one flare after another all week. I hurt. I'm exhausted. I think there might be one functioning brain cell left in my head. OK, 'nuf whinging.

I love your boss' comment about paying the weather bill. I just might steal it.

I love it! I am definitely taking a "Grouch Day"!!!!

newgal2, glad you are taking a break and I hope the flare isn't too difficult or long for you.

Liz, I lived in FL for a short time back in the 70's. I was in the St. Pete/Tampa area. Back then I was healthy and the heat didn't bother me but I could never live there now, I would be nothing but a sweaty, hot mess and not a happy camper..lol.

The wind has been howling here all night and all day today. It's extremely cold out with the wind chills. I pray I don't have to go out anywhere today. *sigh*

Sorry to hear others are flaring today. I'm definitely in maybe more than a mild flare. Just so tired and hurt all over, lightheaded. And, yes, I've been a grouch! I think next time I jog/walk I'll only add 30 seconds not a minute to what wasn't causing flares.

awww ((((( newgal ))))) so sorry.

You mentioned lightheadedness. That was something I didn't have a problem with until this last week. I didn't know it could be attributed to the fibro though. At the moment I'm on 2 very strong antibiotics and I was thinking that they were causing the loopy feeling but now I'm wondering if it was actually the fibro as I was very foggy brained. Hmmmm

Thanks sabby. Yeah, yesterday was rough. Today I feel like the flare is gone. Sorry to hear you've been experiencing lightheadedness too. I know mine is definitely as a result of exercise and somehow related to fibromyalgia. Tomorrow I will reduce the amount of jogging I do from Friday (which caused a flare).

Hope all fibro sufferers are health today and not in too much pain. Gentle hugs for those that are.

Hopefully a staffing agency I have an interview with this afternoon will help me find a job. When that happens, I'm going to have to quit the jog portion of the jog/walking because I can't seem to do it without getting lightheaded at a minimum and flaring at the most. Not flaring today but lightheaded again from exercise.

Hope everyone has a flare-free day.

It has been a while since I had a severe flare, but I don't recall any lightheadedness. Take care and kudos on the exercise!

Hello fellow FMS victims,

I'm new here. For my first 8 years of FMS, I hurt 24/7 all over. Then I tried Lyrica for about 6 weeks. It helped my pain a lot, but I gained 40 pounds in th6 weeks and it made me suicidal. Fortunately my fibro pain has not returned to the pre-Lyrica level or as widespread. Yea!

Today, I have some pain in various areas, but it has not been bad. The biggest problem for me is overwhelming lethargy (I also have CFS). Do any of you have debilitating lethargy and if so, how do you handle it? Thanks in advance!

I wish you luck on the interview newgal2! I guess working takes precedence over exercise sometimes.

I was meaning to ask you this, are you cleared by your doc to exercise/jog? I'm wondering if something else may be happening with you since you are lightheaded afterwards.
