Has anyone tried this ?

Myers Cocktail 101

The Myers cocktail contains a variety of nutrients:
5 milliliters (mL) magnesium chloride hexahydrate
3 mL calcium gluconate
1 mL hydroxocobalamin
1 mL pyridoxine hydrochloride
1 mL dexpanthenol
1 mL B-complex (thiamine, riboflavin, niacinamide) vitamins
5 mL vitamin C

Just curious

Also curious if insurance would cover something like this?

I hope you get some sleep soon. Sometimes I swear, I don't know my own name or how to function. I so understand.

~Christina -- I have an infusion of that stuff on Friday. My insurance is covering it because my nouro wrote the infusions (inpatient infusion clinic) with each ingredient as different infusions. He also wrote down it was for treatment of Chronic Migraines to get it to go through the medicaid program.

Okaritx, Do you notice it as something helpful? Do you notice right away or does it take time? I should ask my GP about it... I dunno about my insurance ( Medicare ) I will have to ask about it.

Thanks

Christina hope you get some sleep soon. I have been having the same issue but not has bad has u.

If your insurance denies you the treatment appeal it. I find once you appeal it the usually grant it.

Good luck and hopefully we both can get some sleep

Have a wonderful time, Christina! I hope it's a lot cooler on the lake than it is here. <--- That's you in your shades!

I notice with just hydration therapy (saline drips) I have more energy. With the Myer Cocktail I think it depends on how low your levels are and how well it keeps it stable. The first go around I didn't notice anything -- I kept up for a few times, stopped due to moving...... and then I felt terribly worse again, I went back on the infusions and that day I noticed a difference.

If they wont cover the Myer cocktail see if the very least you can get them to do Hydration, B12 and magnesium.

Christina, have fun and be safe. I wish I could sit by the lake reading but with lupus the sun is my enemy. But I grew up camping and we still go to Yosemite several times a year.

Kiya I am so sorry you are feeling bad. Just know that you are not alone. I had a seizure on Saturday when my husband and son left for an hour and when they came back I was stuttering so I could not leave the house this weekend. The stuttering stops after a couple of days. The doctor explained that my brain needs to reboot. Sorry if I already wrote this.

Everyone take care.
Hugs to all

I have been flaring for two weeks solid. I told my pdoc today that I'm tired of being tired and hurting. He agreed with me.

I would love a day with no hurting no worrying about the sun etc. A day I could do what ever I want and not have to think about if I do this then I will pay the price for it tomorrow.

People take for-granted simple stuff like going to the store. It's sad.

Really want to try and get a little bit fit and I keep deciding I'll go on the exercise bike and not doing it. I'm scared of how bad I might feel later.
Maybe I'll do it tomorrow...

Try it for 5 minutes then if your not hurting the next day try 5 more minutes. Then slowly increase. On days you don't fill good don't do take a break for that day.

Sounds like a good plan. Even just moving limbs and walking in place or around the apartment counts!

So far I still haven't done anything. Had a bit of a breakdown today, so I'm pleased with myself for even getting out of bed. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

Hope you're all doing okay!
