I'm sorry, Rose76! Mental illness is such an unfair & terrible thing. This morning is already so very painful for me, too. One of the voices has been scolding the others, while allowing my physical & mental/emotional/spiritual pain to continue. I keep wishing, praying for this torment to stop. You don't want to know about this, do you? So I try to keep this part of my life hidden. I love & wish the best for all of you, dear others.

I am not doing well today. I am sitting right up and down surifng Internet for no reason.


I will rest for an hour. After that I will make a list (in private) for how to come through the rest of the day.
I will probably buy take away for dinner.

I had my rest and did buy "Take away". It is important to give one's body enough nutrition.

The rest and the nutrition has given me hope in how to go on from here ...


Live in the UCT timezone, so I will only see the news before I write my list for tomorrow. After that I will relax until bedtime.

I will go early to bed this day, but I will see the evening news first and then try to relax with a bit of Netflix.

I was up early and went through my usual morning routines. It was very cold outside, so I skipped my ordinary walk in the fresh air. Instead, I went to shop groceries. The food prices... May be the 2023 will be the year of oatmeal porriges? Who knows... Well, my grandparents survived the second world war, so I cannot give in. If they could, I can. I will make a budget soon. I need to find what I have to let go and what can stay of my ordinary living.

I don't feel depressed (I think), but I feel some kind of hopelessness and sadness. The winter is always difficult for me. To have these high food prices on top of everything doesn't make it easier. Every winter I struggle to come through.

Sometimes I have wondered if I should move to a place where the winters are milder. I feel too old to start anew. So I have to continue here and continue with my Cognitive Therapy program. It is good, but sometimes one has to let out frustrations because of the time we are living in, the war in Ukraine and everything ...

Tomorrow I will do housework at the time scheduled for walking outside. The cold weather will continue for the next days...

Sorry for ranting, but some days feel harder than others. I have fought for decades, and always something happens that almost take the breath out of me. For the time being it is the food prices.

Disappointing news from the auto repair shop. I'm sad about that. I may have to adjust to living without a car. Lots of people do. It's not the end of the world.

The car was like a good friend to me. I hate to send my old friend to the junk yard. I cry, thinking about that.

I have been inside all day. It's too cold outside. It has not been fun, but I have overcome it. Luckely the cold weather will only last for a few days.

Another pretty good day for me emotionally. I settled the indifference with the phone company I do business with. I had a bundle deal - phone and internet. And now I will just have the internet. I got myself a cell phone that's inexpensive.
With what I have going now, I will be saving some money every month now. So glad that ordeal is over.

It's been a pretty good week this week. I had some trials earlier this week, but they all worked out well. Also I don't have anything coming up soon that I'm dreading, so it feels liberating.

I have felt deeply depressed today. The cold weather will probably leave in a few days. I am not able to continue my CBT program when I have to "shave" away parts of my daily schedules because of the weather. So, in spite of the good program, there is little progress. But it will be soon ...

The Spring will come soon and it will be more easy to cope with the difficulties of life and to see the beauty of life as well.

By the way: That I feel that CBT is the best for me now, does not mean that I think that everyone has to do the same. I have tried the "I do understand you so well" approach and, yes, it is good to be understood, but I am not so sure that that alone will move people forward.

For some that may be the only help they need, but we are all different with differnt backgrounds and experiences ...

I have lost three years of my life, first isolated because of Covid and then because of other physical diseases. Some friends have died, others have moved. That means that I have to do a lot of work finding new ones. I have already found some really good people, but I need more to have a satisfying social life. In such a situation with much insecurity, CBT is perfect for me. Thank God for CBT! (For the scientists that invested in it when there were a lot of other topics they could have used their time on).

Enough of that: I am not the type to lay my whole life out at Internet! I live after the values that all people are valuable in themselves, - need to be respected as such, dominance or competing are not among the topics I prefer. I appreciate responsibility and high moral standards.

I wish all my friends at the thread a continued good Saturday! (I will struggle with mine the rest of the day, but even from this dark place I can see hope, so may be the word "grey" is more fit for my situation).
