I'm hanging in there. I'm in basically the worst physical shape of my life, and that is primarily due to poor eating and a lack of exercise. I can remedy these things, and I suppose I will, but it's almost impossible to summon the energy just to get going. My writing is going poorly as well, and I doubt I'll ever finish this novel, much less succeed in getting it published. I feel like I'm just running the clock out on the rest of my life, whether that's forty days or forty years. I have my vacation coming up, I leave on the 19th, but I'm not optimistic it will help much.
I am also considering withdrawing from my online friends. It just feels like none of them really like me. I'd rather just withdraw from everyone for a time. I'm sick. Nausea. I had a cup of hot chocolate, like I do every morning. I threw it up. I can't eat. I feel general malaise. I don't think I'm depressed.

This morning I was still sick and couldn't eat. This afternoon I'm much, much better. What a relief! I think it was all from withdrawal. I take an opioid pain killer, and I had run out ahead of when I should have. At least, I'm not depressed, which would have been a worse problem. Just got my Vicodin refill, so I should be fine tomorrow.

I woke up sick again. Real nauseated and perspiring. Then I threw up black stuff. I had a bleeding stomach ulcer in 2022. Looks like I've got it again.
At least I'm not depressed. Nothing feels as bad as depression. I healed up in '22. I'll heal up again. |
