I'm frustrated because I started this job about 2 weeks and its an okay job. But the boss is a jerk. He is suffering from cancer and so he is very rarely in the office. I know that he i probably a jerk due to the fact that he is dealing with cancer but he is just mean. I"m always here by myself and sometimes I have questions that no one is here to answer. I've made a couple of mistakes and I feel like a bad employee because I'm making so many mistakes. Its just frustrating because there is no one here to ask for answers to my questions. I still have questions because I'm still somewhat learning.

Everybody makes mistake especially when starting a new job, it doesn't make you a bad employee.

I have had jobs like that. I ended up messing up and told the boss that I didn't know as no one had trained me. They made sure that I got trained the proper way.
I think you should just tell your boss that you are not sure of certain ways of doing certain things and you are worried about messing it up?

I'm really sorry you are having to deal with such a lazy sounding boss.
