Hi Tart Cherry Jam,

I actually do have an Orangetheory near me. It’s in the town about 15 minutes away from where I live and work. Maybe I can stop in one day and ask about it. I never looked into something like that because I thought the exercise would be too intense but if the trainer is willing to modify things on an individual basis I would definitely try it out.

I didn't work out today. I wonder if I'll lose weight in a couple weeks.

They will give you a free session to try. Orangetheory has three rows of equipment: treadmills, water rowers, and the floor (with dumbbells, benches, TRX, mats and BOSU balls). They have classes that use all three, and if you sign up for one such class, I recommend starting on the treads to get warmed up before proceeding to strength training. They also have classes where you do all treads or all strength.

The coach will definitely modify the exercises for you if you ask. For example, I cannot do pushups on the floor, so I do them with a TRX instead, per the modification from the trainer.

I highly recommend them as a medium price point alternative to personal training.

I did good food wise. I'm trying to stick to easy on my stomach foods like jello and PB&J. for lunch I had 2 cups of bone broth and added in diced celery. I also had a twice baked potato and a bottle of coconut water.

I got a bunch of frozen pizzas which are decent on my stomach especially when its cold

I only did a set of Kegels and a few calf stretches today. I miss my walks. On Tuesday I will see the podiatrist again and have a foot X-ray. I hope I have improved and soon will be able to resume walking.

I lost 7lbs my first week of Zep. (I know it was probably just water) but today my face looks a little more round and my cheeks a little more puffy than the norm. I wonder if I’m eating too much sodium but according to the app I’m using-I’m not.

In about 2 weeks things will be all effed up for who knows how long. So why not live like Larrry (spongebob reference) right now. I'm just eating half of a small pizza and a canolli.

Just a couple of calf stretches today and nothing else. Finally stepp d on the scale and, as I feared, the scale confirmed that I had regained several pounds. I cannot wait for the stress fracture to heal, so that I could resume walking and elliptical and strength training on my feet, too.

I am so glad to report that my stress fracture has healed. The podiatrist explained how having tight calves predisposes me to stress fractures in the foot. Now I understand why I need to do calf stretches daily. I am building a habit doing them each time I close the door of my microwave or put the electric kettle on.

I had personal training today and warmed up for it on the recumbent elliptical for 17 minutes. Tomorrow I will go for a walk while wearing the 12 lb weighted vest. So happy to be back to normal. And, lesson learned.

Great news Tart Cherry, I didn’t know that about tight calves either.

I wasn’t sure if I should ditch the long run this week as the event is a week and a half away but decided to go out and do what I felt. I actually felt strong and steady and the weather was on my side, just a gentle southern breeze not like last week’s harsher north wind. I got over 13 miles in and tested out my charity T-shirt too which was okay.

Some life challenges this week and my head’s been all over the place but the run and going into the zone helped me this morning.

I've been busy all morning. I did 4 minutes of crunches, and 2 or 3 minutes of weight lifting. Then I cleaned my room for about an hour.

I've had 3 things of yogurt and one pudding today. It seeme like thats what works out the best right now.

I did 3 minutes of crunches and then 3 minutes on my stepper. I also did 10 squats with the kettleball.

I didn't eat all that great. But whatever right now

Just injected ozempic. Seriously not losing these last 5kg to be at goal weight. I’m eating healthy. I will soldier on. My wedding is only in April. I should lose the 5kg by then.

Recovery run this morning and although I’m supposed to run those gently I did feel energetic so I went a bit faster. I think I’m going to have to force myself to take it easier on my taper week.

Personal training yesterday and a long walk today, with calf stretches before and after. Over 10k steps, for th first time that many in August, because due to the foot injury I had to limit walking until now.

Did 10k this morning at a faster pace, it was nice weather, sunny and only slight breeze. It was good except I ended up running faster (into the road briefly) to overtake a man and his dog on a narrow footpath and it was quite a stretch as there was a crash barrier, unfortunately this was at the start of a steep climb so I was really out of whack by the time I got to the top. Steady pace is normally my technique for inclines. Lesson learned the hard way.

Anyhow one more run before the event next weekend- I think it’ll be a 5k.

Food wise I made a gorgeous chicken paella last night, I’m upping carbs but not really a fan of pasta. Tasty and pretty healthy too.

Today I’m down 12lbs since starting Zepbound on August 13. This seems really fast and unsustainable. Not that I’m complaining that I’m losing but I wonder if because it’s coming off so fast if my body will end up stalling at some point and I don’t want that to happen.

Hey potato! It depends a lot on where you are starting from and how big a change you made to your eating habits. But i notice i lose inches even if i dont lose major pounds. I read on a facebook glp1 group that we are losing visceral fat. Its definitely a journey. I am in my third month now, and i dont remember a time when losing weight / eating less has been less fraught. Usually i am up and down with almost daily with under- and overeating. Now i just aim to eat slightly less than enough. Translated that means instead of eating a whole (possibly large?!) "appetizer" order of cold sesame noodles, i ate my entree yesterday (tofu and broccoli) and split the NOT large order of noodles into 3 portions, to have with 2 mini cukes each, over the next few days. I need a break from my fat free yogurt and cheese and sardine ezekiel bread (ie sandpaper!) sandwiches! And a fortune cookie with my morning coffee.
Thanks for this!

Thank you Unaluna. I have a large amount of weight to lose. Technically to get to what they consider a “Normal” BMI- I have around 100lbs to lose. I do not intend to lose that much. When I was younger I was at that normal BMI weight and I looked terribly thin and didn’t feel good. I set my goal to lose 80lbs. I did drastically change my diet and cut out soda. It’s mostly water for me now. I do flavor the water with those flavor squeeze drops. I can’t do all plain water every day all day. The squeeze drops are sugar free. This is definitely a journey and I’m pretty sure I’m spending more time than I need to be on those groups over-analyzing advice. Haha. Definitely my portions are a lot smaller as well. Like you mentioned with your noodles. Most things for me are divided into smaller meals. I also do protein shakes but not daily.

I have about 100 to lose too, give or take. When your big, you get heavier bones and stuff to cart yourself around. So that plus losing bone because of old age, who knows where we will end up!
