I wouldn't go through AOL if I was paid! When I first got the internet, I went through them. Then I cancelled them. Well, 3 months after I cancelled, I'm still getting charged by them! This is just crazy!

The first time I cancelled it, I was ok. The second time I cancelled, they told me that when I originally cancelled I had agreed to cancel the account with the option of keeping it active. How that is possible is way beyond me! So I cancelled it for good! So thinking all my troubles with AOL was over, I was looking over my banking account statement online...and there it was again...another freakin charge from AOL! Boy was I pissed! So I just called them, after being on hold for about 10 minutes, I finally told them to take the charge off and that I had cancelled last month! So they're like, "oh we're sorry for charging you after your account was cancelled." It was like, BS! I'm sick of this!

I had a similar experience with them a few years back. I can't decide if they're incompetent, or fraudulent, or both.

Now I'm with a company that's local...they're much better, if you ask me. I've had them before, so I knew I could trust them.

I have AOL, but I have no problems with them because I'm not using DSL or broadband, just plain dial-up. But I heard AOL can be a problem if one has DSL or broadband....
