I feel like e-mailing the admin guy (on another site) to ask an admin question, but I think that the admin question is just an excuse to try to get a response from admin guy.

What do I do? I soooo want admin guy to send me an e-mail. I don't know what to do.

I agree - it's an excuse

Don't do it. Practice your self-control.

You already know what you need to do. Like your trying to force your self to throw up thread you keep posting the same thing asking for help but not taking and using the adivise and making your life better. I like other posters I too am getting tired of posting to someone asking for help but that person obviously disregards the advise and does not do anything to help themselves and moved out of the situations basically saying they are choosing to stay stuck in the situation. Then posters need to decide for themselves if this appears to be someone posting just for the attention not for the help. I truely hope someday you will be readsy to help yourself and move on.

I (like another has done on your other repeating but not taking care of the situation thread) am choosing not to post to you about this situation and I add that other one too) again.

there is a saying in the therapy world - you can't help a person who does not want the help and who wont help themselves.

To those who want me to stop posting about my problems with admin guy...I just want to say that posting about him and my urges is *MY* way to cope with the situation and is *MY* way to *STOP* e-mailing him.

If I can't post here about my problems, I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself.

I'm replacing one behaviour (e-mailing admin guy) with another (posting here). What should I do if I cannot post here?

Also I do admit that I like getting attention here. It makes me feel less lonely. Is that such a bad thing?

Getting attention with no desire to change is "bad" but if you want to change your behaviour then you deserve help to do so. I think you know that already I feel like e-mailing the admin guy again

This means you think it's OK for me to post here about me wanting to e-mail admin guy?

Cause I *want* to stop e-mailing him with non admin related stuff.

Getting some attention here and venting here helps me stop e-maiing admin guy. I think a big part of my e-mailing admin guy is because admin guy seems like a really nice guy who listens. The problem is that he's only supposed to be the *admin* guy, and not our friends.

I just wish you did more *positive* things for attention. Like doing volunteer work, or writing a book, or creating art... doing negative things doesn't really give you the kind of attention I would want if I were in your shoes.

And some of it, in my opinion, really does belong in a blog, but I will be the first to say that it's my personal opinion only - not as a moderator or anything like that.

You are not breaking any rules by posting about this situation. So post whatever helps you. People can just ignore your posts if they want.

BUT, why not just post "there" about it? Posters there know you better and can probably help you more, and in a "civil" fashion! ;-)

Thanks Emily. I feel like e-mailing the admin guy again

I'm afraid I've been temorarily "banished".

I don't really need anyone to give me long responses or anything like that. People can help me just by listeninig. I don't expect everyone to listen. You could really help me if you just listened and maybe give me a supportive hug or something.

Meanwhile I'll learn how to be supportive myself. I don't think it happens overnight...I haven't lived a very social life.

I wish I did more positive things for attention too. I don't like negative attention at all. I have some very maladaptive ways of coping and interacting in this world. I guess I just don't *get* it. I keep trying to get people to support me like they do others, but I always end up making people angry. I feel like e-mailing the admin guy again

I would like to write in a blog too, the only problem is, I don't think anyone would read my blog. I don't think new blogs get read too much.

Hey, I just thought of something else...maybe I can continue to write to admin guy, but instead of sending them to him or posting them here, I could write it in my blog!

That is a fantastic idea!

Regarding "advertising" -- you can put a link to your blog in your profile.

Keep in mind that the blogs are a little less private than the posts in PC, though. By that, I mean that you can do a google on words in your blog and google will find it. That doesn't happen with posts at PC, but then again, people who know how to find PC can read anything, even if they don't register.

A tip for you Greenleaves, blogger to blogger. I feel like e-mailing the admin guy again

A great way to get people to visit your blog is to visit theirs and leave a comment. Most of the people that visit my blog regularly are people I read daily myself. I guess its just good manners in the blogging world. I feel like e-mailing the admin guy again

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
