I've been lurking about wanting to vent and not knowing how, where or how to start. My sweet Heather just happened to ask the right questions, so here goes my rant.
PM from Heather: I hope you are ok? Is it cause of the SS that you are stressed out about? What is going on there? Did they call you back? What about camping? What happened there hun? My answer: It's everything! Jerry added the straw that broke the camel's back last night. I've been hassling with SS every day since two weeks ago and I can't get any response from them except that my Welfare worker didn't turn in the necessary papers. It's a LIE!! I called him and he told me he had turned them in in OCTOBER!! Stupid Fu***** worker has just been sitting on them!! My Welfare worker WALKED them to the SS office last Wednesday and still nothing!! Every time I turn around I find something I need and get frustrated at every corner because I haven't gotten my money. Then Jerry decides he wants to go camping yesterday so we got busy getting the RV ready and buying a few extra things. Now get this... I didn't charge him rent last month, ok? He said he needed to get caught up on some of his bills. I was expecting my retro check last month ( and for the last 39 months!!!) so I offered him no rent thinking I'd be okay. We sweated it through. Last night I asked him to buy me a carton of cigs because I was out and I'm out of money, too. He got so PISSED!! When he got back in the RV he said we couldn't go camping because he had just spent the money he intended on using on the camping trip!!!! He also has another trip planned to LA this weekend. He went LAST week!!! He's saving what money he has for THAT trip!!! Never mind that he's been witness to how the Disability thing has been affecting me! Never mind that every so often I get excited about getting my money... never mind that I was really excited about going camping, even giving up going out with Monika to get me some new clothes. His self-involved, self-centered SELF got pissed that I needed HIS money for cigarettes!!!! So I guess he's punishing me by not taking me camping!!! He claims he has NO CLUE why I'm so upset! Poor him!!! It's ME that's making him feel guilty for not having enough money to do both trips!!! I know better, but I can't even talk to him to straighten his thinking out, I'm so mad!!! I'm SOOOO tempted to let everything I've learned just fall by the wayside and rip into him BUT GOOD!!! Oh man! I'm so sorry for venting this way on you. I'm going to post this on the board so that you don't have to bear the brunt of it all. I've been wanting to but didn't know where to start. I'm gonna tell them it's a copy of a PM to you. [censored]!!!! [censored]!!!! [censored]!!!! Where's my shotgun???? DAMMIT!!!! It's in Chico!!! Hell! I'd lose my balance trying to take aim!! And then there's that small problem of not having the guts to do it... or is that too many smarts??? ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!!  People like that really annoy me. I have a "friend" who is declaring bankruptcy because she can't pay all the credit card debt she has accrued, she CONSTANTLY complains that the credit card companies keep calling her (she ducks their calls) "Don't they know I don't have any money? Stop calling!!" I always used to tell her they are calling because you took money from them and aren't paying it back, basically you stole money from them! Thing is, this has been going on for years, and in the meantime she is always taking trips to california, las vegas, texas (from new york) for sci-fi conventions, to "stalk" favorite celebrities, etc. She does doesn't "get" that if she has the money for these activities, she should have the money to pay back the credit companies, even if it means giving up some of those activities. I'm sorry Tomi.........sounds like what I am married to as well. Everything and anything is my fault.
Today I received some info in the mail about Alex - he has a First Communion retreat to go to on a Sat. Do you think that idiot would take his son there because I have to work?????????? H*******ll no, I have to try to rearrange my work schedule so that I can go. It is important that Alex go. The other manager at work put in his 2 week notice, and this is the day after. I called my GM today with a good solution to that day's schedule, but now someone else just decided to quit (someone who was training to be an Opening Coordinator) and he tells me we'll see. Everything would be fine if that idiot would take his son, but he's not Catholic, etc. etc. JERK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I can relate to your anger. I always have to give him money and he never wants to help me out. You know the feeling will go away, the anger is another story. Hey, why don't you, me and Alex move in together? I used to have one of those too! We lived together and he'd always blow his cash on dvds and other bulls**t then ask ME to cover his rent. This was when I was in school and working two jobs to cover MY expenses. Additionally he had 13K in credit card debt that he failed to tell me about, asked to borrow some money to pay off "some things" and promptly destroyed my credit in the bargain. He wasn't in school, wasn't doing much of anything, actually and was actually perfectly content with staying in his job as a *drumroll, please* .....pizza delivery driver. I kicked his sorry butt OUT! The funny thing was that after nearly two years of being together, I was more upset about his Playstation 2 leaving than I was about HIM leaving. Best thing I ever did!! some of it's magic some of it's tragic but i had a good life all the way...... ~jimmy buffett

oh I can fully understand the need to vent like that.. I have wanted to do that all darn day for I have had a run in with some really stupid people today.. of all weeks my "hell" week when my hormones are so messed up already and my panic attacks are twice as bad.. Oh Tomi,
It doesn't sound like you've had a day worth writing home to Mom about. Sorry about that sweetie, I hope they don't happen very often. Remember, especially here in California, all state and federal government bodies are clones of one agency, the Internal Revenue Service. The more you talk, the less they listen. The more you need something, the less likely you are to get it. The easier you need it to be, the harder they'll make it. Kind of makes you wonder why the name "Social" or "Service" is in the name, huh? Seven words. Tell your hubby this is about you. You know I'm pretty close, so if you need a ride to get any of your business taken care of, let me know. I'll arrange to get time off of work and come pick you up so you can do your running around. It's not that Jerry is such spendthrift although he can be a compulsive buyer sometimes. Both of us live on a fixed income and this was his short paycheck. Yeah, he's immature. I just refuse to take the same place I had before we separated. He has HIS money and I have MINE, although it's difficult to not borrow from each other. But as soon as I catch myself up, I AM NOT gonna combine incomes any more!! I can't stand the stress. Hey! If he runs out of money, too bad! Same goes for me. Thank God he's not in debt any more than the limit on his Visa Card! LOL It's not thousands, believe me!LOL Anna, I know how you feel. They toys are harder to let go than the person, sometimes. What does that tell you about the choices we make!?  I'll bet that boyfriend of yours is still living off some woman. Jeez!!! Lady D, I know my meds aren't working to capacity, either. I've suspected I need an increase for some time now, but my shrink works in the next town over and "thoughtful" me doesn't want to ask "his nibs" to drive me that far, would you believe?? Maybe I need a swift kick in the butt, eh?  BP, you got it right on the nose! It's the stupid bureocracies that have me all stressed out!! I can't believe the incompetence that runs rampant in this world!! If I wind back in the hospital because of this, wonder if I could sue them for twice what they owe me? It's not much, really. Not in view of the multi-million dollar law suits that go on now-a-days! I'm not greedy. He knows what's going on and he's stressing, too. His writing style is very much like mine and he carries through, too, so what does that tell ya, eh? I emailed him a few minutes ago, gave him the name and business address of the worker's supervisor and asked him to write a letter in hopes that the letter will make a bigger impact that a phone call, but I'm thinking I'm going to call tomorrow, anyway. I'm feeling a bit better now that I've slept all day. Sheeesh! I hate it when the depression gets that bad!! It won't control me tomorrow!As for telling hubby this is about ME... I've lost hope. Everything is about HIM! AAAHHHH!!!! Hun, he's 13 emotionally! How do you tell a teenager that it's not about him?? Talk about the choices we've made, eh? Ah well... I'm on the downside now. Better to have him around than living alone. Been there, done that. I'd rather have him around. Don't ask me why because I probably couldn't tell you, but I love the guy. Go figure! I love the smileys, how do you get them? Seriously though, I'm sorry you're having such a rough time. My husband is always right. (or so he thinks) About the SS, I understand. It took me two years to finally get mine. I think that they hope if they aggravate you enough you will just give up. I'd like to use the frying pan on all of my doctors. ha
I'm catholic and I would take Alex if we just didn't live so far apart. ha ha I remember both of my kids first communions. It was a pretty big deal. Yes, it's true, I'm really not an atheist, just have "issues". A hint: I used to call SS every couple days. I think they finally got tired of hearing from me. ((((((((((((Septmorn))))))))))))) |

Aren't they neat?!?!? hehehe Just left click on the smiley and it will give you the web address. It's a program that you can use on MSN and other email servers... but not on AOL, which is what I have. For now, I'm just copying the urls to my notepad. If I want to use one, I open my notepad and copy the url. To get the smiley to show up on the post, this is what you do (just don't leave any spaces, ok?[ image ] http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_3_7.gif [ /image ] This is the one of the head eating the other. LOL To do a test run, answer this post and type the code. See if it works. I hope it's clear to you. If not, say so and I'll try explaining again. My brain is fried right now. About my SSI... I waited THREE YEARS to get approved then last September I had my hearing. The judge approved me without even hearing one word from me. He had already made up his mind that I was eligible. Then in October, the woman from SS called me for an interview. She told me I would get my first monthly check "within two weeks" and my retro check would come two weeks after that. It wasn't until the end of Nov. that I got the monthly check. I'm STILL waiting for the first installment of my retro! Now she's claiming that she didn't tell me how soon I would get my retro. WRONG!! She told me as well as my oldest son the very same thing... two weeks after the first monthly check!! I just checked with him and he concurred with me!I agree with you completely!! They make you wait and wait and keep you hanging, hoping that you'll give up and say STUFF IT! Well, they picked the wrong woman when they picked me to do that to!! Well... my son's gonna deal with them, and if you think I get scary when I'm mad, you ain't seen nothin' yet! LOL He doesn't raise his voice, he doesn't get rattled, he doesn't call names or use foul language... he just goes for the heart and WHOOSH it's all over. Hey! He even scares me!! LOLAw man! You can tell how out of control I am by all the upper case and bolded words, not to mention all the typos! I think I've proofed this 4 times already! They work on e-mail too, and there are other features like different cursors you can get and links to search engines and games. I'm starting to sound like an advertisement for this place.
