Ugh!

I am freaking out... I don't have enough money in my checking account right now... and tons of "auto withdrawls" comming up on the 1st. One Credit Card is Maxed and the other two are 55 and 65 bucks away. I need to pay for rent and my fiance came home with a bunch of new DVD's this past weekend and can't give me any money. I'm PISSED! I tried applying for a paypal credit card and got denied... for the credit card, no real surpise there but got $600.00 in buyer credit... real help that does me in paying for medical expenses or gas! I've been trying to sleep but can't cuz all of this is freaking me out and now I'm starting to cry. I suppose I could take a trip to one of those cash advance places tommorow... but I know they charge outrageous interest. I just don't know what to do... gosh darn SSN is 5 digits away from being one of those people who got thier direct deposit "refunds" early today GAAAH! Anyone know if any of the other direct deposits will be early or just that group? If so that stinks! Sorry to rant, just really freaking out at this moment and wondering if anyone has any advice... I know I'm not the first one to be in this situation. *sigh*

Stop the auto withdrawals if you can; go to your bank and rearrange things a bit, lower the amounts, stop one, etc. You don't need bank fees for bouncing stuff added to your troubles. If necessary, "give back" whatever one of them is; car, etc. if you can't afford it -- figure out alternate transportation.

Have you/fiance ask for an advance on your next check from work; I did that once before. That might tide you over until a refund or something comes.

Pawn or sell something; see how much the pawn shop gives for CD's and take ALL your finance's there along with any players Money troubles...

Borrow $10-$20 from 5-10 friends and relatives (if that will help; don't know how much you need total).

Go talk to the landlord, work something out with him about the lateness of the rent check and promise to commit the refund to him.

See if you and hubby can sell plasma or join a medical study that pays http://www.ehow.com/how_110908_sell-plasma.html

Take control of your money. Go to the library and check out Suze Orman's books. If you become proactive, it will lessen your panic.

Thanks guys... I talked to my bank... since I have direct deposit they gave me a $200.00 advance, which will be taken out of my next direct deposit. I am going to cancel our cable and bring my old laptop to the pawn shop.

I'm so sorry that money is so tight for you. I hated when money was tight, which is part of the reason I"m living with my dad. I wouldn't be able to make ends meet if I was living on my own.

Keep your chin up, hun.

I've been there. Of course I am still much worse off than you. But I remember what it's like. It's unbelievable stress!!! I offer you the biggest hugs and prayers--you WILL get through this! I know it's hard, but try to remember that there is a reason for everything. You may not realize it right away, but there truly is. There is always a benefit for anything that happens.
